Recently returned from grand tour of North India
15 days touring India
We saw a lot and experienced so much.
There was 31 of us on the tour The group guide, Amit Bhardwaj, was excellent and made sure we all got the best out of the tour
He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, supportive and adaptable as required. Always in control of changes occured and reassuring when needed
Basically Amit made the trip memorable for all 31 travellers

What a wonderful tour!
Many things:
1 - The wonderful and varied places we visited;
2 - The brilliant tour organiser and his very knowledgeable support (Amit Bhardwaj and Elvis) and all superb local guides in the several cities we visited;
Their quickly obtaining medical assistance for the few who required it for “tummy troubles”;
3 - Tremendous organisation of the local and intercity travel, road, rail and flights;
4 - Very good hotels throughout;
5 - excellent and a wide variation of local dishes at each hotel and mid-travel stops;
6 - The friendly Indian people we encountered along the way;
7 - Lasting memories;
8 - A brilliant friendly group to tour with.

We have been using Mercury holidays for over 20 years, we've been to Australia, Japan, and many Holiday in Malta. We are due to go to Malta before the end of this year and have already booked for next year. The information is clear and we have had no problems over the years. Having used Mercury earlier this year…
Having used Mercury earlier this year for a tour in Namibia I was more then satisfied about the tour, the Hotels and most importantly the tour guide so that I booked another tour for October 26 in Northern India. Again: tour was great, very well organised and administered by the local tour manager ( Amit ).

Couldn't book for 4 people online.
The customer service assistant was very good, clear and helpful ( Vivienne) I did want to book online myself as we are previous Mercury customers , however I could not book for 4 people? Which does seem a little strange? ...only max of 2 online for Best of South Africa.

A friend and I went to Peru with Mercury
A friend and I went to Peru, the sacred valley tour with Mercury from 12th the 24th October. The trip was well planned with some spectacular views and. We stayed mostly 1 night in hotels but worth it as we got to see such wonderful sites. The hotels were mostly very good standard with a good selection for breakfast, clean and good facilities. . Sadly one hotel where we had two nights in Puno was very poor. Noisy, not clean and very poor meals. You could hear evrything from other rooms and what sounded like extractor fans all night. We were not told prior ther would be no power in Puno from 5am to 5pm the next day which meant having to wake up early for showers.
We had evening meals on two nights included, 1 was for this hotel despite being offered a menu to choose from the day before, we were all served the same meal on the night and told there was no choice. That would be fine if the quality was good, it was not. The other hotels and lunches were fantastic. So Mercury please don't use this hotel again as after long days travelling, a comfortable hotel room is a must.
The rest of the holiday was fabulous and we felt well looked after. I will definitely be using Mercury again!
