MGY Estate Agents & Chartered Surveyors Reviews

Cheryl was very efficient and helpful. Always contactable and available. Thank you Cheryl

Have never dealt with a more unprofessional crowd in my life. Oliver told me that the council tax payable on second homes was 1000%! He refused to tell me what amount had been offered on the flat I wanted to buy...but I was supposed to offer more. What possible reason could he have for keeping this a secret? Kirstie sent an email to both myself and the vendor that contained both our e-mail addresses. Then, in spite of asking to be kept informed if there were any further offers on the property I was interested in, they sold it. Therefore I never got the opportunity to offer a higher sum. My issue is this...if they don't give potential buyers the chance to bid against each other this could lead to corruption, ie, keeping the price artificially low for friends or family members.
Incidentally, when I complained to Oliver he, rather pathetically, blocked my e-mails.

Our agent Hannah has been first class from start to finish. Queries have been answered quickly and knowledgeably through the entire rental process. A really professional service that you can rely on.

MGY acted on the sale of commercial and residential units. They were able to attract a good range of interested buyers. Also, from the outset the communication with Cheryl, Mark and the team throughout the process was excellent. I found them diligent and professional to work with.

Sold my apartment in Cardiff Bay using MGY and everything ran very smoothly from start to finish . They are very professional and knowledgeable of the local market and come highly recommended. A special mention for Becky who dealt with my sale , was a total professional and very helpful, you won’t go wrong . Many thanks

What a fantastic Company very professional and always willing to help in all circumstances including letting and selling Properties. Have used MGY for many years and have found working with Mark and Cheryl very enjoyable. Roger Davidge, Bay Property.

Cheryl @ MGY Cardiff Commercial team was fantastic during a recent commercial office purchase. She dealt with all of our questions (and there were a lot!) and liaised with the sellers and myself perfectly to ensure completion was as fast as it could be.

Thank you Cheryl!

Lee was very kind and helpful. Extremely happy with the customer care given.

Commercial Property Sale:
MGY have sold a Restaurant / Property in Cardiff for me. The property was only on the market for less than two weeks and sold for the asking price, to which I was extremely happy! I has been a very long process in getting the sale completed as it was being bought by a newly set-up SIPP pensions scheme. A huge shout out to Cheryl Vale who has been excellent to work with, demonstrating great communications skills and tenacity, by liaising with all parties to bring the sale to a smooth and successful conclusion.
I HIGHLY recommend them

Lee & Vicci are fabulous. Definately use MGY Barry to find your tenants. What I loved is they keep you informed every step of the way and they don't just put the first tenant in that applies, they find someone suitable which is so important to avoid future trouble. Super friendly and professional. They are the best.

From start to finish the staff at the barry branch have been very helpful throughout my first experience of selling a property. Anything I was unsure of they were always happy to help and they were consistent with feedback on any information following viewings. I would highly recommend their services. Thankyou to Vicky Lee Halle and Natasha

I entrusted Priory Estates to let two properties for me.
I'd had a few troublesome tenants in the past which persuaded me to find a local agent to carry out all the necessary vetting and checking.
A friend recommended Priory Estates.
I'm so glad I trusted their recommendation. I instructed Priory to find tenants for my 2 properties. They began the search immediately.
Within a week they had found suitable tenants. In another week all the necessary checks and references were completed and I had great tenants!
The entire process went so smoothly.
I was kept in the loop with regular emails and phone calls.
From start to finish it was a great experience.
I highly recommend Priory Estates.
Vicci and Lee were superb!

Really professional and helpful. Highly recommended.

Although the sale has been full of hurdles, Vicci has kept me updated at all times. They are a great team and being local it is easy to pop in at any time.

We have been with the Barry office for several years both as landlords renting and selling property.
The lettings department with Lee, and the sales department with Vicci and Halle have always dealt with us in a professional and friendly manner. With the increasing regulations it is important to have a reliable service which they give.

I have had consistently excellent service from Vicci who manages my rental properties. She is incredibly professional and her expertise has been invaluable, most recently discussing and advising on a rent review. Her colleagues have also been extremely efficient.
I would not hesitate to recommend Vicci and her team.

We put our house on the market through MGY Barry office, we have received fantastic service from Vicci and Halle during the selling/viewing process and then again exceptional service from the sales manager Vicci through the conveyancing journey , Vicci kept us up to date with the process and followed up with our buyers if we had any questions. I would definitely recommend having a chat with Vicci at the Barry branch if you are thinking of selling or indeed buying.

The staff at the branch in Barry always give myself and my company a fantastic and reliable service when dealing with sales or letting of our properties particularly Vicci and Lee who we have been dealing with for some time
I would definitely recommend this company

We rented through the Pontcanna branch of MGY for 18 months and had a fantastic experience with them. They were very quick to reply to emails and follow up maintenance issue; they updated us in advance whenever there was a view or maintenance work needed to be carried out; and they were very fair and honest when it came to assessing the property before and after we left meaning we got our deposit back in a timely manner. We found the staff to be very friendly and would particularly like to thank Karen Blannin for her help throughout our time renting with MGY.
