Bought a parasol from MH STAR via Debenhams website. The internal rope broke within a few months meaning the canopy wouldn’t raise. It was a nightmare getting MH STAR to replace or refund. Weeks went by… email after email, photos, videos sent.

Eventually they they offered me a 15% refund instead! A joke! The parasol is 100% unusable.

I quoted the Comsumer Rights Act which immediately resulted in a new parasol being sent out. They know exactly what they’re doing. They were trying it on. Stick to your guns and know your rights!

We bought via Amazon a product, HOMCOM 12L/Day Dehumidifier with Continuous Drainage, 2.5L Water Tank, from them 8 months ago. Recently it started to generate a continuous big noise each time when it is on and running. After lots of efforts contacting MHSTAR service, we were told they only provide 6 months warranty, which we were not aware before purchasing (maybe our fault). It seems to me they do not have confidence on their products, even such non high-tech ones.

If I could give zero i would this company are SCAMMERS my aunt bought a chicken coop and run through B&Q recieved the run eventually but the coop has gone to someone else who signed my aunts signature and kept the coop I have spent the whole week trying to get the coop to no avail we have sent photos of the front door saying thats not our front door we have filled a form in and even told them to ask amazon shipping to ask their courier where the coop and run were delivered to as we recieved the run but my aunt has been left with £227 out of pocket a load of bedding and food for the chickens a run and had to cancel delivery of the chickens 4 times while the scammers have the money the fraudulent thieves have a coop my aunt is a pensioner and disabled we have filled in forms and still nothing B&Q today have again apologised and said give them until Monday they will contact the 3rd seller MH STAR SCAMMERS if nothing comes we need to go to the papers and police!!

Absolute scammers. I hadn’t read the reviews before ordering something from Tesco. The order was due four days ago - for my daughters birthday and it hasn’t arrived. The Evri tracking doesn’t change, just says it hasn’t received the parcel yet. The worst thing is you cannot reach this company - the phone line is deliberately set so that you can’t choose a multi choice option from your phone when you dial, so you’re stuck in a loop and can never reach anyone. A complaint is now lodged with Tesco and another will be lodged with Trading Standards once this is over. MH Star - not that you’ll care, but my order number you haven’t delivered and won’t engage about it is 5490-2089-12.

I wasn't informed that to return an item it would be at my cost. £15 to return thier goods and no refund says go somewhere else and avoid this company

I ordered a treadmill through Debenhams for £214 and what I received was not only damaged but also clearly used. This is completely unacceptable. I reported the issue straight away, and after making me wait two days, they had the audacity to offer me £25 compensation. £25?! For a broken, second-hand item?

After I complained again, they upped the offer to a pathetic £30 – still an absolute insult. The whole situation is beyond ridiculous. The lack of respect for customers is shocking.

Do NOT order anything from this seller or through Debenhams unless you want to waste your time, energy, and money. I'm furious, and honestly, this whole experience has been nothing but stress and anger. Never again.

ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS!! Order new aircon unit through Amazon and then they sent a clearly secondhand, broken and non working unit. Sent all the evidence proving it had previously been installed and returned and that it didn’t work. Refused to arrange a return and eventually I had to raise a complaint through Amazon. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Have had such a bad experience with this company ordered through wayfair whom I must say have gone way up in my eyes
But this company stay clear , I would give no stars if possible, they lie offer a solution take it back then offer another solution, if it was not for wayfair I would be left with a bbq i couldn't use

I brought a sofa from eBay it’s been nothing but trouble firstly no feet were sent with the sofa I had to source some myself they refunded me for them after being dishonest saying refund was Sent and t wasn’t eBay got involved I now can’t use the bed part it’s faulty doesn’t sit correctly they have now offered me £150 pound I have no trust this will be issued as previously been lied too also there customer service is terrible never again will I buy from this company

Disgusting service. Purchased outdoor furniture via Debenhams. The item was broken but after 3 months I still have no replacement. No apology after all the emails or even acknowledgement of a problem.

Wow what a S**T company. First of all delivered to my old address even though had confirmed twice with them my new address. Not only did they deliver 2 separate items to old address on different days they also send my a set of garden chairs instead of the dog bed I ordered. After many emails regarding this I got a refund about 5 days later and expected to keep their unwanted item weighing over 20kg in a dry and safe place for almost a week until it suited them to collect . I now check if a website is using this company before I buy . I also agree with another comment that 1 starts too much !

I ordered a hutch through B and Q which uses this company to deliver. At 8pm that day I realised it had a mesh floor which I did not want. I messaged the company to try and cancel. They messaged back quickly and said they had alerted the shipping team and within 48hrs cancellation was confirmed and I had a refund. This is amazing customer service, care and efficiency which is so important and often lacking in companies 👍

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

They sold me an Air Conditioner. It was faulty out the box. Never worked once. Error message on being turned on. I had to fight them for a refund and was then told I had to pay out for the cost of the return and claim it back. The item weights 29kgs and I had to pay £18 for Parcel Force to come and uplift and return it. MH STAR have had the item now for 13 day and I've had not heard one thing from them. No confirmation of receipt and no refund. Three weeks since i paid for the item, I am out of pocket for £180 and have nothing to show for it. Next stop Trading Standards and then a Small claims action.

I reiterate save your self a lot of hassle and money and DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MH STAR UK.

I ordered a veranda from Wayfair. MH star blocked the cancellation that I made within a hour on Sunday. They claim it is already dispatched.
I now have to pay for it to be returned, why allow cancellation if you can only do it in the first few minutes.
I seriously doubt it as been dispatched.
Avoid any company the used this company.

Fraudulent company who have my money , not provided the product and have not refunded my money. Next steps will be to make a crime report.

I ordered an air conditioner through the B&Q app, and it turned out to be a disaster. The product arrived faulty, and only after chasing support did I discover it was sold by a third-party seller, MH Star UK — even though the listing did not state this clearly at the time of purchase.

When I contacted B&Q, I was left on hold for 45 minutes, then abruptly disconnected when they tried to transfer me. When I finally got through again, they told me to contact the seller myself. MH Star UK was incredibly slow to respond, and after I sent them two videos as proof, they refused to accept a return. I didn’t buy a damaged item — I expect a proper refund.

To make things worse, I was told collection would happen on Friday, 11th July, between 8am and 6pm. I took the day off work, stayed home all day — and no one showed up, no contact, no update. Now I’m being told that “the courier isn’t guaranteed to call” — seriously?

Both B&Q and MH Star UK are refusing to take proper responsibility. MH Star UK was rude, unhelpful, and dismissive, and B&Q is pretending it’s not their problem, even though I purchased through their platform. I’ve sent them all the evidence, including screenshots, videos, and email trails — yet nothing.

Absolutely disgraceful service from both companies. I will never buy from B&Q or MH Star UK again, and I strongly advise others to avoid them completely.

One star is a push. Ordered a cordless chainsaw and only made the purchase as they claimed I could get next day delivery. Paid for it to receive an email that said it would delivered 3 days after I expect it. Contacted them and they literally washed their hands of it and passed the buck to Tesco. Disgusting way to treat people.

The WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF ORDERING ANYTHING OFF IN MY LIFE, and I’m nearly 50 years old. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
