Great company, sanitary wear came very quickly highly recommend

Avoid this company at all costs. They are quick to take your money but customer after care is horrendous. I got a wet room from Modern living and got some other things done to my house from them. My family members also got a wet room and kitchen who are also unhappy with them. My wet room started to leak after 4 months of being fitted because they use cheap builders. This company made me call them and beg them so many times to come out and fix the leak. The manager kept telling the builders to fix it the cheapest possible way. Which caused the leak to get worse and it destroyed my living room light which is underneath the wetroom. They took 8 months on a job that should have been done in 1 week. And someone they made me feel they were doing me a favour and that it’s all my fault. I
Have 2 special needs children one child spends time on the carpet so it’s important for me to keep it clean because of the never ending work it was making a lot of mess. And I had to wash my carpets 2 times. This whole situation caused me so much stress and anxiety and the manage wouldn’t replace my led light which because of him got destroyed in the first place. This company are so selfish and do not care what damage they cause. I will never go back to this company ever again.

Ordered the 5 burner gas hob. Quick delivery It arrived next day and was notified when it would be delivered.
Really happy with this it was the only I liked after searching online for hours.
Best bit is it has 2 wok burners really useful in Asian house.

I used Modernlivingdirect to order parts for a new cooker. The website gave a great price, but didn't have them in stock for immediate delivery. However, I was able to confirm timescales using their online chat, ordering and delivery then went very smoothly. The wait for dispatch was at the lower end of what they had told me to expect, the parts then arrived quickly, were exactly what I had ordered. Good service.

I bought the Concrete Terrazzo Vinyl Click Flooring. It's just been fitted and looks great, much better than a more expensive vinyl floor of bought elsewhere. Quality and price both right, and shipping was quick and arrived on the date expected. Brilliant.

Highly recommend first time ordering from this company and definitely won’t be my last customer service was brilliant I called with my measurements for flooring and the gentleman I spoke to was very helpful ( Michael I think his name was) I also didn’t need my order for 6 weeks which was no problem for them to hold I called when I was ready for flooring and the delivered fast and promptly really pleased 😊

Experience was brilliant with this company. Got a shower enclosure with tray and bathroom items for a great price. Delivery was so quick and communication was easy. They even gave free delivery for an item I forgot to order separately. I would definitely recommend them for bathroom renovations. The shower we ordered was bronze and it looks fantastic.

Everything was great, ordered a marble effect shower tray which was just as described and expected, looks really good. Delivery was efficient and easy to arrange for the correct day to arrive. Would definitely order again from them

Excellent sales experience, but extremely poor aftersales.

I placed multiple orders with this company and spent a significant amount overall. The sales process was smooth and efficient, and I was genuinely impressed at the time.

Unfortunately, the aftersales experience has been entirely unacceptable.

I returned approximately £600 + VAT worth of items, all unused and in new condition. While some original packaging was not retained, the items themselves were intact, not installed, and not used. Many of these products were only supplied in basic wrapping to begin with, so this point has been overstated.

I was informed that none of the items were eligible for a refund. This blanket refusal was based on “condition” and “missing packaging”, with no proper item-by-item assessment or clear justification.

I also strongly dispute the claim that the vanity unit was damaged. It was in good condition when returned. If any issue occurred during transit, that should be properly investigated rather than assumed.

A complete refusal to refund under these circumstances is disproportionate and not consistent with UK consumer law, which allows customers to inspect goods without losing their right to a refund.

What is particularly disappointing is the rigid and dismissive approach taken, especially given the level of spend and the otherwise positive sales experience.

I have now raised this as a formal complaint and am seeking a full refund. If this is not resolved promptly, I will be pursuing the matter further.

I hope the company takes this opportunity to review the situation properly and resolve it fairly.

Awful customers service.

Not as described at all, I would never buy from this company again. Flooring was a totally different colour from the website and they refused to accept any return without a £70 fee, even to exchange.

Their support team were rude and unhelpful, and the quality of the product itself was poor.
