I recently gave auto guard 5 stars however after receiving my contract nothing they told me to sell this service was true. First of all the monthly rate was $12-13 higher. All the EXCLUSIONS they aren’t actually covering anything if something goes wrong with your vehicle. I didn’t find it to be trustworthy so I cancelled my contract. I advise don’t give up any money until you see your written contract first !!!!

Having exclusions does not mean that "nothing" is covered—exclusions are a standard part of vehicle service contracts and identify circumstances or items that fall outside the selected coverage.
We are concerned by your statement that the monthly payment shown was different from what you agreed to. We take billing discrepancies seriously and would welcome the opportunity to review the recorded enrollment and account details to determine exactly what occurred.

Robocalls constantly from various numbers. Calling back gets Ai voice and clicking to dial to a representative gives you a representative who hides what company they work for with a generic department name. Only on my fifth call did they ID as myautogaurd.
Scammy, scummy, illegal
Edit..sure auto dialing with no one on the line that only connects after you speak is not robodialing. Calling with an AI voice making you press 1 or hanging up is not robodialing. Maybe I'll have to get my lawyer involved since Im on the DNC list and you've been calling me on and off for years.

terrific offer and service
John directed me to the most warranty coverage my car was eligible for and explained it all well. He clarified any questions I had clearly and expertly.
John was fun and personable as my husband and I discussed the car options. We laughed with John's wife's joke that shook him when she wore a mask as she read a book in the yard. :)

Terrible customer service and liars everywhere
This policy was sold to us with the pretense that the first year was a "better than a new car warranty". Three months into it, my dad ( it's his car and he is 89 yrs old) took the car to the dealership to have the check engine light checked and the problem solved. The problem was a gas vapor valve and the warranty did not cover that. When I called, I found out that this was ONLY a power train warranty. I called about a possible power steering problem and again, NOT COVERED.
This was a VERY BAD MISREPRESENTATION of the policy. We would not have spent $159.00 a month for a powertrain only warranty.
I have been a technician at 2 dealerships for about 7 yrs total. This was not a "better than a new car warranty " warranty. I live 400 miles from my dad and cannot just jump and run for a car problem. This policy was purchased for a little piece of mind but, it has been a m nightmare.
This was paid on the 4th of the month and canceled on the 7th.(4th payment) when asked for a prorated final month, he has to go to a dealership or certified garage, get a certified odometer reading, then fax it to AutoGuard. We have to pay that. Why do they need that. They never asked for it when he got the policy but to cancel it they have to have it. That it TOTALLY BACKWARDS and makes no sense.
If your thinking of using AutoGuard, think extremely long and hard then check other options. I found a better policyfor $50.00 a month less and covers much more. Better companies are out there, this only got 1 star because I cannot give it a negative number.
Customer service is UNHEARD OF here also.
Update:
They sent a form letter it seams and said they had to have the odometer reading as per contractual agreement. That STILL dosent explain why that wasnt in the beginning of the contract. I could have said any milage and they accepted it. Thats THEIR way of not giving any refund for any reason. All you have to do is read and see how MANY 1 star reviews are given for this warranty company. I wish I would have looked into them more and NOT went off of salesman pressure. I was trying to help my Dad but, it just cost him money for a bogus bunch of garbage. They cant even call me now or when I call I am on hold for 15 minutes for nothing. Bad company and they know it so they have a form answer. Typical SPAM

Your daddy's car is 23 years old, we select the highest level of coverage the vehicle qualifies for and give you 30 days to review the plan to make sure it fits your needs. Iit is not just a powertrain coverage, its an enhanced policy that covers much more than the powertrain and reviewed the call and your daddy was told exactly what it was, so there were no lies told as stated in this review.
The coverage provided under any My Auto Guard plan is determined by the specific service agreement selected at the time of enrollment. Covered components, exclusions, and benefits are outlined in the contract that is provided to every customer. While we regret that the coverage did not meet your expectations, claim determinations are made according to the terms of the agreement—not after the fact.
Regarding your cancellation, the final odometer reading is a standard contractual requirement used to accurately process cancellations. This helps ensure the account is closed correctly and consistently for all customers.
We understand that unexpected repairs can be frustrating, and we're sorry this experience did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your feedback and wish you and your father the very best moving forward.
