Charged far more than expected after manipulative checkout

I recently attempted to purchase a promotional offer from MYHIRELIEF.COM after repeatedly seeing online advertisements for their product.

Unfortunately, the checkout experience raised serious concerns for me.

The website displayed prices mainly with a simple dollar sign without clearly emphasizing USD pricing for Canadian customers. Based on the presentation, I believed I was authorizing a purchase of approximately 80 CAD.

After clicking “Complete Purchase,” I was redirected into a very long promotional upsell video sequence that repeatedly warned users not to leave the page or use the back button or the price could increase. I was never presented with a clear final order confirmation page showing the final charged amount before the transaction was processed.

I was ultimately charged approximately 174 CAD.

I immediately attempted to contact the merchant by phone and email requesting cancellation and a full refund and explicitly asked that no merchandise be shipped. The phone line connected but nobody answered. I received only an automated email acknowledgment, and two days later I received a shipment confirmation despite my cancellation request.

I have since filed a formal credit card dispute regarding the transaction.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise consumers to exercise caution before entering payment information on this website.

Update - June 1, 2026

After I cancelled my credit card, initiated a chargeback/dispute with my credit card company, submitted documentation, and posted this review, the company contacted me directly and issued a full refund. The shipment was already in transit and I was told to keep the product.

I appreciate that the refund was ultimately provided. However, this does not change my concerns about the checkout process. In my case, I was charged substantially more than I expected, was redirected into a lengthy upsell video sequence after clicking the purchase button, and never saw what I considered a clear final confirmation page prominently displaying the final amount and currency before the charge appeared on my card.

It also does not change my concerns about the inability to obtain assistance immediately after ordering, or the fact that shipment proceeded despite my prompt cancellation request.

I also discovered that the published Delaware address appears to be a registered-agent/business-registration address rather than what most consumers would consider a normal corporate office. Readers can draw their own conclusions.

Well for starters they could actually send you the product that they charge you for monthly if you accidentally sign a subscription and then they could actually answer any complaint within 24 to 48 hours instead of weeks and then they could actually publish a telephone number for customer service line that works

I am a very active 86 year old woman…

I am a very active 86 year old woman with peripheral neuropathy for about 25 years. I tried all the pills with no relief. I very skeptically ordered 3 jars if Toral Relief. After 2 weeks of use, I was so impressed that I gave a jar to my neighbor, who after 2 weeks placed her own order.
I then shared a jar with my daughter-in-law's dad. He has since ordered his own and now I am waiting to hear from my son whom I shared a jar with. It was quite amazing to finally find something that works. All l can do is say Thank Youu Total Relief.

I have both my knees and hips replaced…

I have both my knees and hips replaced but I have still had issues with joint pain in my feet and shoulders. I have issues with taking pain meds and since I have started using Total Relief cream I find the pains are now, once I apply the cream are a thing of the past. I am so glad I took the gamble and bought Total Relief.
