I signed up for a £0.50 IQ test, but the trial subscription was not clearly explained, and it automatically converted into a £29.99 charge. This feels misleading and not transparent.
I contacted customer support immediately to request a refund and cancellation. I received a reply within a few seconds, which looked like an automated/bot response. The message stated that a refund had been processed, but it did not specify when the refund will actually be issued.
Additionally, the email mentioned that my subscription cancellation is “scheduled”, but there was no clear confirmation that the subscription has been fully cancelled or that no further charges will be taken.
I am currently waiting for the refund to appear in my account and for proper confirmation that my subscription has been cancelled.
I would strongly advise others to read the terms very carefully before signing up, as the subscription model is not clearly presented during the purchase process

I have written to cancel 4 times on behalf of my mother with Alzheimer's. Not only have they continued to take the money but they now take the payment twice a month. Do not use this site.

Disgusting robbed me of 30 pounds a month. I couldn't understand why I was struggling as much as am. Found the scammers on my paypal. Fraudulent. Avoid

Beware. This is nothing but a scam. You sign up for 2x 50p for your IQ score ( which is rubbish) and they silently help themselves to £25 soon after. This is theft plain and simple and fools like me get robbed. I am now trapped in a subscription and will have to get the bank to investigate the miserable business.

So I wrote a review about this scam and that MYIQ does not have an email, phone number or address to contact them after they steal money. Within a short time after Trustpilot put my review on their site MYIQ sent a response to the site saying if I gave them my details they would refund the money £24.99 within a few hours. Of course they have NOT refunded my money. If I dont see that they have put it back into my PayPal account today I will be writing to Rogue Traders on the BBC and will also contact Trading Standards and will contact the Police to ask if they can do anything. Be warned this company is a scam and they con the public

Scam. Did a one time purchase of less than a pound for my son, only to be charged 29.99 for 2 months that I had no clue about, when I asked for a refund I was ignored and denied, really disappointed for my son and for myself, do not use.

I was tempted to do an IQ test on MyIQ which popped up on my phone on social media on January 14th. I paid £1 for my results and thought no more about it. I was busy attending to various things during the rest of January and February. On February 18th I was shocked to see an email from PayPal saying I'd paid £24.99 to MyIQ and then noticed the same sum paid out on January 21st. Having noticed this I cancelled my subscription and was particularly surprised that these payments went out via PayPal. On looking at the 1st email I received from MyIQ, I noticed an agreement to pay £24.99 a month which was right at the bottom of the page which I didn't see. That is the reason for my 1 star score as
this may be legal but seems to be a very dubious and underhand practice to be operating on line. Avoid at all costs!

BEWARE !! This company just as Google states online : “ it is heavily criticized by users as a subscription scam that uses deceptive tactics to charge high monthly fees without clear consent. “
This has happened to me. After doing the IQ Test & paying for the Test Results £1, they subscribed me to their site without my consent & took TWO further Payments from my PayPal account of £24.99
Advice on line after SO many other complaints is to go to their site & UNSUBSCRIBE in order to STOP any further unauthorized payments being taken. Now, I have raised a dispute with PayPal in order to challenge this SCAM & hopefully get my two REFUNDS!

I did an IQ test online as a bit of fun and paid £1 to get the result, before I knew it they had taken £29.99 from my account as a subscription that was neatly hidden in the terms and conditions when I signed up. Be careful of these con artists !

Underhand charges, not clear you are signing up for a subscription, deceptive, bad company, stealing money, stay away from them, don’t click on advertisements because they sign you up to a subscription without you knowing until the money comes out of your bank, wankers

This company is a scam they don't tell you that it's a subscription looking at my bank account all of the money was taken out in one day I got in touch with them and they refunded my money but it's pending so I am no closer to getting my money back.as I said before beware of Myiq.

I saw an advert for a one off IQ test, so i thought why not, it is only 50 pence. After the test I then had to give an email address to get the result. After 2 months or so, I noticed 2 payments were taken from my Paypal account for £24.99.

I remember the 'Myiq' name on the statement, but I never agreed to or set up any sort of repeat payments. Why would I if I only paid 50 pence for a one off test?

So I cancelled subscription before these scammers could take anymore payments. I did email them to sort it out, but you can tell it is a bot that replies because you get the same answer no matter what information you give them to sort it out.

I will have to contact my bank now to report these scammers.

Do not trust these people, I seriously do not know how people like these scammers sleep at night.

RIP off merchants. I paid £1 - no saying it was a subscription. Then they took £29.99 from my bank. I cancelled the subscription straight away then again in February they took another payment. I found the email saying I’d cancelled and now blocked them with the bank. Got a refund from my bank.

Under no circumstances engage with these fraudulant scum..if you do contact your bank etc to block any payments before these theiving bastards steal your money by deception...avoid at all costs...

Hello, like a number of people, I did not know that MyIQ would be taking a monthly subscription after a payment for £1 on 11.11.2025.

I have since been informed this was a subscription trap where a low cost one time IQ test for £1 results in an unauthorised monthly subscription of over £29.99 a month from 18.11.2025 until 10.02.2026. £120.96needs to be refunded as I did not consent to an ongoing payment.

I have cancelled the subscription to My IQ tonight 24.02.2026. Also I am contacting my bank about this scam and making sure no more money goes to them.

Despite receiving written confirmation at the end of January that my subscription had been cancelled, I was charged again on 23 February for £29.99.
I was also told that a £29.99 refund had been processed, but no such refund has appeared in my account. When queried, I received repeated template-style responses from “David” in Customer Success confirming cancellation again, without providing any refund processing date or transaction reference.
After 6–8 weeks of back-and-forth correspondence, I have now had to escalate the matter through my bank.
Very disappointing experience and extremely frustrating customer service.

I did an iq test and then realised I had been lured in so I blocked them on Facebook etc. Little did I know I had somehow given them my credit card details and they were billing me £30 a month for a one off IQ test I had months ago. So far I have paid £90 to this company.

I have reported them to my credit card provider and hope to get this money back but I am not counting on it. I think this episode has shown I have a very low iq when using the web now. I am in my early 70s and have been conned in my old age.
