They are scammers do not use their site

I paid 50p for result of their own test, sent by email. As I wasn’t interested in continuing contact with myiq I didn’t read the whole email. I therefore missed the automatic opt-in clause whereby I was required to pay monthly subscription of £29.99 unless I physically choose opt-out option. I did not pick up on first payment, due to being on holiday, and only picked up second payment when my bank sent notification of pending payment to myiq.
As a result I contacted myiq through their website complaint procedure.
Credit to myiq they responded quickly in a positive manner requesting further information and subsequent I was notified that repayment of my two subscriptions would happen in next 10 days. These were repaid to my Bank in 7 days.
I do think their automatic opt-in procedures is unscrupulous and would recommend this is changed. Nevertheless the company did live up to its claims of good customer relations.

I payed £1 GBP for a one off IQ test result for MYIQ. Received the result via email, no problems. I have subsequently found out that the last two months (Feb & March 2026) they have taken £29.99 from my card.

I queried this and they have said it’s in the T’s & C’s.

Basically what they do is email you your IQ test results and on the fine print towards the bottom of the email, there is a subscription monthly charge notice (very deceptive!)

I never checked as I didn’t sign up to anything whilst completing my IQ test and just paid the £1 and expected the result - job done.

It’s so devious and on emailing MYIQ, I got a response from Chris who basically said tough, it’s in your result email and no refunds are to be given as it’s in the terms and conditions!

Do not pay a penny to these scammers as they will get your card details and charge you £29.99 every month and you won’t get a penny back.

Unfortunately it’s a scam! I did an IQ test after clicking on an advertisement. Wanting to receive the results, I decided to pay one dollar. I expected to just get the results by email and be done. They also offer a monthly prescription, but I wasn’t interested. I got the results immediately online, so did not check for an email. They charged my creditcard for 1,- and 7days later for 30,-. According to the helpdesk they highly value transparency and their clear policy is that they don’t do refund. 
Please be aware when you start an account with my IQ after receiving any test results, check your email and immediately end your prescription

£340 worth of subscription fees. 36 werks of £9.99. Started off with two 50p transactions and they have been stealing money from my account without my consent. I contacted them, which seems like automated emails. I have contacted my bank and filled a dispute against these criminals. I will be taking this to social media. I have asked for a full refund, they keep avoiding to say they will refund me. Beware of this company, unlawful and awful.

This is a scam. Paid 2x .50p payments for results and leaving my email. Then not even a week later they took £29.99 from my account DO NOT PLAY WITH MYIQ.com. They are scam artists. I will be demanding a refund and blocking them from my bank.

I have failed to get a refund through paypal for £24.99 that I did NOT authorise in spite of having emails from MyIQ telling me they will refund it immediately - no refund received. The fact that ALL the Trustpilot for this scam company are one star only with similar comments must be telling! I also wish it was possible to give a negative number of stars

After iQ test was charged 2x50p then a month later a charge of £30.07 which I had not authorised! I phoned my bank and had this blocked assuming from the reviews it would be a monthly charge.

You take an innocent IQ test - although I realise it is obviously stolen from elsewhere - and end up having £29.99 monthly taken from your account.

My stupid fault for paying the £00.99 out of curiosity - I’m never ever goi g to do these so called tests again.

This review echoes the many other ones I have read. I paid £1 pound for results of an online IO test and was surprised to see that I have been charged 2 x £24.99 for a subscription that I wasn't aware I had signed up for.
I paid through Paypal so I cancelled any ongoing payment to this company but I still want my payments refunded. Paypal says you have to deal with MyIQ first therefore I sent them an email for cancellation and refund, I received a return email asking for more info which I will not give and have since found out that this email is from a bot called "David" and is their MO for delaying any refunds. This is a scamming company using a loophole in the law to hide the fact that you are signing up for something without your knowledge, which I think, contravenesUK consumer law. Stay well away from this company and If you pay by credit card for anything always, always, look at the fine print before you sign up and check out reviews of the company involved.

It is so bad it tricks you into a iq test for 1 dollar but it charges you 29.99 dollars as for a subscription please don't fall for these scams

They charged me £29.99 without any subscription. I took the test online for £1 through Apple Pay, and then without notice, I saw this charge. I called my bank and had to freeze my card and file a dispute.
Stay away from this website!

I would have put 0 stars! It quite clearly said 0.99 pence, I now find out they have taken £29.99 from my bank account! I cannot get in touch with them! They are a scam company!

SCAM, paid for the results only to find a week later they tried to charge me £29.99 for a subscription I didn’t sign up to, fortunately they had also tried to do this to my wife so I was able to move funds so the payment was declined and my bank has now blocked them.

Scam. Agreed to pay £1 for the results of a quick online IQ test which MyIQ claims to be a MENSA test (it isn't). A week later I received notification that £29.99 was about be taken from my PayPal account. And, it's a monthly subscription. AVOID these scammers at all costs.

Wish I had read the reviews prior to taking the IQ test then finding I am being charged £29.99 monthly. I have managed to get on to their website and cancel the subscription and received an email stating that this is now in process. What a scummy fraudulent company.

Like other reviewers, I paid £1 for the test only to have them take another 3 monthly unauthorised payments of £29.99 from my bank for a subscription I never agreed to and never used. I have contacted my bank who will not allow further requests for payment but I am still almost £90 down! I have emailed their help address and cancelled my so-called "subscription" this morning and asked for a refund. I am a disabled, retired person and on a very low income and could ill afford these amounts.

I similarly have been duped and scammed by this company who are thieves really. Like others I paid £1 for a test result and have been charged £29.99 for several months without realising. I am usually so vigilant about subscriptions so they must be really sneaky to get past me. Scum bags
