Myiq 

On the 10th December 2025 I stupidly did a myiq test for £1 just for a bit of fun. For the £1 they took two separate 50 pence from my PayPal account, on 8th Jan2026 took another 50pence and also on 11th Jan. On 15th Jan they took £24.99. I have never signed up for any subscription with myiq and I stupidly assumed it was a one off deal. I've been in touch with PayPal, they have been in touch with myiq but have settled in their favour and say the fact I even paid anything to myiq meant I automatically signed up for a subscription. No mention of a subscription was ever ever mentioned by myiq. I've cancelled the subscription I never signed up for on PayPal but PayPal say that doesn't mean they won't still be able to take more money and apparently, because i cancelled after they took the subscription i knew nothing about, then basically tough on me and wont get my money back.The payment said pending when i cancelled but apparently that doesn't matter. Well thanks for nothing PayPal. Mtiq is a complete scam and I want my money back!!!

Basically out of the blue took 30 quid.
You can take that 30 and shove it.

I paid £1 for an IQ test. I thought it would be fun to find out! When looking at accuweather this scam site appeared almost all the time. I got a shock when my PayPal account started paying out just under £25 a month... I had not subscribed to their site. Blocked them on Paypal and hope that is the end of the matter

No stars . They have been stealing £14.99 out of my bank account every two weeks since July 2025. Unfortunately I only just noticed. Emailed them , got an immediate response refusing to refund me . I never agreed or signed up to a subscription. All I did was a small in test for £1. Absolute scummy scammers . My bank will now be dealing with them

Zero stars!! Total scam!! Cheap IQ test offered on social media and then you are lured into a £29.99 monthly membership without agreeing to it.
I am still awaiting a refund and will contact my bank to report these scammers. Please don’t get tricked!!

Complete scam. I stupidly did their silly IQ test as a bit of fun, at the end I paid £0.50 for a certificate as a bit of a joke. I have now discovered that they have been charging me £29.99 for a ‘subscription’ (to what?!) which I never signed up for. They have never sent me notice that they were going to take payment, which is illegal under UK law. I have complained to them and they send me the same generic email. I have complained to PayPal. This is simply a scam, pure and simple.

Scam, take £1 the charge £29 a week later for subscription. I honestly did not know it was a subscription and it wasn't made clear.

FRAUD! SCAM! You pay to see the results of IQ test. And you are not aware that they start taking monthly subscription. $29.99, it all started on Instagram ad, so there is no option to stop this scam.

Total scam con job . If I lived in bc I would track down you thieving pricks and deal out some justice.

I only put one star as the no star option was not available this is fraud they ask you to pay 50 pence to take the quiz then of course they have your bank details and then proceed to take 29.99 as many times as there able it’s criminal

I'd give it no stars if I could. Scam, customer service dispicable behaviour. On trying to get my money back I had 26 emails with them where they simply asked me for the same information over and over again. To not refund anything.

absolute con. just taken £29.99 out of my account. i fell "hook line and sinker". do not go anywhere near this site

Very crafty , from one test, they have been debiting me last 5 months .portal on website will not allow easy cancellation.they keep asking for bank details.VERY DISHONEST. STAY CLEAR !

Scammers , don’t try

I was "hoodwinked" into a "subscription" when all I wanted was my score from the test I (foolishly) took (1/11/2026) of which I didn't mind "paying" a measly $1.00 for said results...fast forward to (exactly) a week later (1/18/2026) and I see a charge of $29.99 on my card from MyIQ...I have subsequently locked my card to prevent future transactions occurring from them!! also good luck trying to contact them...I am not going to give up..it's not so much the money..just the principle of them running an underhanded operation with deceptive methods...it screams SCAM!!! so Caveat Emptor!!!

Tricked into paying £25 when presented with just £1 for the test. Apparently the terms and conditions say this. But not easy to see when you complete the test and want your results. Scam.

Scam!!! Fraud and unauthorized payment processings. I did their test then saw you had to pay and did not proceeded and somehow I am deducted 29,99 monthly

Beware - I was charged for subscription I never took out, and then lied to about a refund.

I was surprised to see a charge of £29.99 appear on my bank statement, for a subscription I never took out. When I raised this with MyIQ, they apologised and said they'd refund immediately. Email shown below:

"Hi Mark,
I understand how concerning an unauthorized charge can be. I’ve reviewed your account, and I can confirm that a refund has been processed for the £29.99 charge. You should see it reflected in your bank account shortly. Additionally, your subscription is scheduled for cancellation, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
I’ll also ensure that your email address is removed from our database as requested.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Best regards, David My IQ Customer Success Team"

All good, I thought. Except that support then came back and said that they'd changed their mind about giving me a refund, as it was "against their policy" ro refund, even though (in their words) it was for an unauthorised purchase. When I asked what their policy said about charging for subscriptions that were never taken out, they didn't reply.

I'm now having to raise this as a claim with my bank. I wanted to put this out as a warning to anyone considering using this company. Make your own mind up as to whether this sounds like a reputable company to do business with...

Keep away! I was stupid enough to take an iq test with this company…. Seemingly it would only cost a small sum to retrieve the results. But a week later a larger summe was deducted from my Mastercard for a subscription I never signed up for. I have reported the fraud to PayPal.
