The consultation was fine but…
The consultation was fine but unfortunately the medications took three days to arrive. Now that many pharmacies are offering a face to face consultation service I would recommend people consider these instead as you would receive your medications directly from the pharmacy, at the time of the consultation.

Please be assured that your prescription was dispatched the same day in good faith to our courier; unfortunately, there were delays at the depot, which caused it to arrive a day later. You’re absolutely right to expect better, and we take full responsibility for letting you down.
Once packages leave our pharmacists’ hands, our control is limited but that doesn’t excuse the experience you had. We work only with partners who share our commitment to timely delivery and are constantly improving our processes to ensure a better experience for our customers.
We also understand that face-to-face consultations can be convenient for some people, and it’s great that there are options available. At the same time, our service offers the flexibility of remote consultations, allowing patients to speak with a pharmacist from the comfort of their own home and receive medications delivered safely and directly to their door. Many of our patients find this especially helpful when visiting a pharmacy in person is difficult or time-sensitive.
We always aim to provide safe, convenient, and timely care, and we truly appreciate the opportunity to support patients in the way that works best for them.

I was refereed to this service my a GP…
I was refereed to this service my a GP at my normal practice, At 79 years old, he or she had know Idea if I was computer illiterate, and was able to contact My Local Surgery, I followed the link in the text message to book a video consultation at a certain time.
I logged into the room a few minuets early and waited, but nothing happened.
Apparently the consultation was eventually cancelled.
I quickly contacted My Local Surgery to say what had happened and another Video consultation was arranged for approximately 45 minuets later.
The consultation went OK and medication was prescribed, I was advised that my medication wouldn’t arrive until Wednesday as my consultation took place after the next day cut off time.
The Medication arrived on time today,
I have taken part in Video consultations before and was able to see the person on the other end as well as speaking to them,.
I didn’t see anyone else on the screen while I was speaking to the Pharmacist, it was like speaking to my self. it might have been a phone call.
This could of been a problem my end but don’t think it was.

This is not the standard of service we aim to provide, as video consultations should feel clear, personal, and reassuring. We will review this to understand what may have gone wrong.

Didn’t work. I was waiting in a “consultation” for over 30 mins on two separate occasions and no one else joined. Flagged my concerns and asked for a callback but nothing happened. Very disappointing and a complete waste of time.

It looks like your first consultation was impacted by technical issues, and you waited for around 20 minutes in the first session. We are looking into this to try and prevent this happening in future.
As we understand it, the pharmacist for your rescheduled appointment, at 14:30, joined 15 minutes before the new consultation to make sure everything was working properly and we can see you were prescribed the appropriate treatment in the consultation. Your prescription has already been dispatched with the courier the same day to ensure it reaches you as soon as possible and this is due to be delivered by today.
You mentioned in your feedback that you felt your time was wasted on two occasions. If we’ve misunderstood this, please do let us know so we can address it properly..

11 days and counting…
After filling out a form on my gps website I was referred to my local surgery. The call itself with the doctor was fine. My only issue is that I aired that last time I used this service it took 2 days for my antibiotics to arrive, she said I should have this lot by the next afternoon. My call was on Thursday 26th February and now as I’m writing this review it is Monday 9th March and I’m still waiting for the antibiotics for my tonsillitis. Having paid for the antibiotics already and trying to contact to try and sort this out is ridiculous. I’ve had to miss out on work, and a family gathering because I was too ill. I personally will not be using this service again and would like a refund for the antibiotics I am still waiting for.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m truly sorry that your prescription took so long to arrive and that you were left feeling unwell without the medication you needed. That’s certainly not the standard of care we aim to deliver.
I’ve checked your order, and your prescription was dispatched on 26th February, however, once the prescription is handed over to the courier we have limited control over the delivery process. Because we didn't receive any contact from you after this, we weren’t aware there was an issue. Had we known, we would have immediately arranged a replacement and investigated the delivery with the courier.
You also mentioned that you had experienced a similar issue before. However, we were only able to locate one previous order under your name. This order was placed on 22nd September and the prescription was delivered the following day, on 23rd September, so there does not appear to have been an issue with that delivery. However, please let us know if this was not the case.
We completely understand that this experience may make you hesitant to use our service again. However, we are in the process of trying ensure more reliable delivery services and our Customer Service team are incredibly proactive and always ready to resolve any issues quickly for our patients.
If you do decide to use us in the future, please don’t hesitate to get in touch right away should anything go wrong—we’ll do everything we can to make it right.
