I use the thing for more than 12 years, and there is nothing better on the market so far

We have used tab cat for 23 years. Maine coon cats are a bit daft up to 4years old, and as they only are out when we are at home, we need to know which field they have followed a vole to. We have tried sat nav collers but when shown in a field 3 miles away we found them asleep in the living room. We will always stick with tab cat for peace of mind.

Great product that works amazingly well for a reasonable price. Easy to order, but would be better if they provided updates on their shipping (e.g "your order has been dispatched etc) particularly for overseas buyers who are waiting for a couple of weeks for orders to arrive.

I do love this product but they have a defect in the battery compartment. The first time it happened they sent me a replacement Immediately. Months later it happened again and now they won't send me a replacement until they know I have shipped the defective one back. And it took Days for them to get back to me. Very unimpressed at the customer service now!!

My friend bought one of these and was absolutely thrilled with it, so I've also bought one which was just delivered to my office (in Australia). So my colleagues and I have now spent the morning tracking each other down throughout the building!! It's very easy to program and use - what a fantastic product!!. Once my silly cat realises she can actually jump over that 2 foot fence, I'll be able to go find her. There is also a little bleeper on the collar so the cat will know when you are looking for it.

Shipping was in time, product meets totally with our expectations, very simple to use and efficient.

Love your products, delivery was quick and thanks for the suppport.

Boîtier léger conforme à la description. Se place très aisément sur un collier et ne semble pas du tout déranger le chat. L'efficacité ne peut pas encore être jugée car je n'ai pas eu à chercher mon chat depuis le placement du boîtier

Wrong product sent. I wrote an email through the website in January and still have not had a reply. Terrible customer service.

Excellent product and service delivery good

This product gives reassurance when your cat is out longer than expected. I should have bought one years ago. Would like the tracking distance to be a bit longer but this is a minor point.
Received the tab cat within a few days of ordering..

Hi. I am really disappointed to be giving my recent purchase only two stars, as I absolutely loved my first TabCat. But whilst version 2 promised to have greater range and improved features, I feel that the range is actually inferior to the version 1. Either that or the handset is very temperamental as it often doesn’t register anything at all even if the cat is not that far away (which I know as I can hear the bell on her collar when she is on the move) Also, the device to be attached to the cat collar is larger and far bulkier than the round chip from version 1. Finally the beep tone on the collar is very faint, and I cannot find a features to increase the volume on the chip, only on the head set. With version 1 I was able to hear where my cat was when I got close, with version 2 you know you are close, but you still can’t locate the cat if she is hiding under a bush. The light doesn’t help if she is lying on her collar, it needs the sound. And that sound also trained my cat to know that I was looking for her, which was something I never believed but it actually does work! So sadly very disappointed with this version of TabCat. My version 1 lasted us almost 4 years, and it gave me great peace of mind in that time, which is why I didn’t hesitate to buy another one when the hand set finally gave out. Please go back to the features of version 1! Or offer both versions. Do you still sell replacement handsets for version 1? If so, I would buy one in a heartbeat and go back to using my old chips attaching to the cat collar.

Unreliable, works probably 50% of time at a push. Had multiple problems with the tabs, can't afford new version so looked to buy replacement tab but seems you can't as not been available for a long time and now new version is out they are only interested in selling that one and sod helping customers with older version

J’ai rédigé un avis négatif il y a une semaine. A la suite de sa publication j’ai reçu un mail de DHL faisant état de la livraison d’un colis de Tabcat.
Je viens de le recevoir ce lundi 23 janvier et il s’agit d’un nouveau Tabcat V2.
Ils m’ont carrément envoyé un appareil complet alors que je n’avais qu’un « tag » de défectueux.
Je les en remercie donc et comme je n’est pas eu de mail de leur part je ne peux pas les remercier en direct.
Merci à TABCAT pour votre réaction.
Il est juste dommage qu’elle n’ait pas eu lieu lors de mes demandes par le site vendeur.
Je vais pouvoir laisser sortir ma nouvelle petite chatte récemment recueillie de la SPA.

TLDR: Please listen to reviews about this company. Awful customer service. Take advantage of loyal customers. Please avoid and choose another product.

Have been a customer for many years. This is the second time I’ve had a bad experience, and will be my last as once our next tags stop functioning (an expensive issue with this product), I will be purchasing an alternative.

Product has changed. They state upgraded but these “new” tags look exactly the same as their original ones I first purchased nearly 10 years ago!

Needed to replace a tag which had become defective (sadly happens not infrequently). Ordered new tags. Nothing mentioned on replacement tag page about incompatibility of new tags with existing tracker remote (they have now rectified this and deny it wasn’t there all along)
Paid £5.99 postage (only option). Spent best part of an hour trying to pair new tag to remote, contacted company who stated “new” tags are incompatible with existing customers remotes. Absolute heart sink.
Long back and forth email. Very slow to respond, only 1 reply per day max so whole thing took ages. Offered me small discount for a new remote (important to note my existing tabcat remote has no issues. They have just started selling only incompatible tags)
They asked me to pay postage again at £5.99. I argued that this was not fair given that had it been made clear the tags were not compatible I could have either 1. Decided to use another product 2. Ordered a new remote as well as tag replacement and only paid postage once
They refused to give any discount on postage.
To my shame, by this point I was pretty stressed at not being able to track my cat if needed, and as mentioned every email took a long time to turn around a response. I ended up taking the hit and paying the postage too.
The absolute kick in the proverbial came today when the new remote arrived, with the postage cost printed on the front being less than £3, when they’d insisted I pay £5.99. Taking advantage of loyal customers is not ok. I recommended this product to countless people who went onto purchase in the early days, before the tags became unreliable and customer service so poor. I’m embarrassed to have put others in the same situation. Avoid.
