I had to hide the bag from my dog after receiving it
My dog usually sticks her nose up at new foods, but she really wanted to try this one, after receiving the bag of food and taking the bag out of the box I just set it off to the side. Little did I know she was going to try and rip into it as soon as I was out of sight. Normally she wouldn’t even look twice at a bag of food, but for some reason she really wanted to get into this one. So after taking it from her and putting some into her bowl, she stood there over her dish until it was gone. This was a surprise since she usually gets a mouthful and goes elsewhere to eat it, but not Nature’s Hug Pet Food, she even growled at the cats when they went to check it out and normally she doesn’t care if they eat her food but she wouldn’t let them near this stuff..

You have a dog with a great nose and taste! Thank you for this beautiful testimony that made us smile!
An ecofriendly, plantbased diet my dogs love
I was given a sample of Nature’s Hug Pet Food in exchange for my honest review. All three of my dogs loved it which was quite surprising because they are definitely all meat eaters. Nature’s Hug Pet Food is an ecofriendly, sustainable, plantbased protein option, made with nutritional dry yeast, which provides complete and effective digestion with the probiotic family. It contains the same essential amino acids that animal proteins like chicken do, eliminating the risk of allergies that a lot of meat products can cause. The growth of dry yeast also emits significantly less CO² than raising animals for food. I am very happy with this product. :)

The food smelt completely different…
The food smelt completely different than any brand I’d smelt before. My cats weren’t impressed with it at all, one is a walking garbage can so I was surprised. I did mix it with their regular food and they both gobbled it up.
I’m unsure if I’d purchase this brand again, though I love the mission behind the company. Thank you for allowing me to try your brand for free, I appreciate it very much and wish you huge success.

Nature's HUG kibble is made with an alternative, meat-free protein. The smell is different from animal protein-based food. Most dogs and cats love it! However, some take longer than others to get used to the change, which is why a transition period of several days is important. Thank you for taking the time to write us your feedback.

It was very nice of you to send a free trial. My kitties seem to like it. They're not big dry food eaters. I'm trying to get them to eat more dry food and do away with the wet food It was very helpful getting to try your product. It came quick with no problems

By providing a large sample, your cats has enough time to get used to the new food. By respecting the transition period, your pets should adapt well to this change and adopt their new kibble without difficulty. You can also continue to alternate between the two types of food. Thank you for your comment!

Perfect for Toy Yorkie (3 pounds)!
My mini Yorkie needs a special diet with no animal protein and he is a very picky. The size is perfect for him and he loved the food. It was super easy to make the transition and having the option to get the food directly delivered at home makes things even better. It’s a 5 stars

Your mini Yorkie must be adorable! The transition allows the dog or cat to gradually get used to their new kibble. The change is less abrupt for them. Indeed, the online service allows you to have delivery to your home and peace of mind! Thank you for your comment!
I wish I could report that my cat loved it.…
I wish I could report that my cat loved it but she would not go near it ... Even when only a few pieces of kibble were mixed with her food.

Cats are known to be particularly difficult... Some cats are more finicky than others. They don't like change and they make it known. That's why we emphasize the importance of a transition over several days. If you want the change to take effect, you must persist for at least a week. That's the price to pay for your cat or dog to adopt a new quality food. We thank you for taking the time to share your comment with us, as it allows us to provide some clarifications!
Give this food a try!
I received a bag of your dog food for free. I only had to pay for shipping costs (11.30). So far, I’d say my dogs are enjoying it.

We often tell customers that it is very important to observe a transition period of several days by mixing the old kibble with the new. We must also keep in mind that any change can take time with pets, and they usually do not appreciate a change that is too quick. We have regularly seen "picky eaters" among cats and dogs change their habits with a little time! Thank you for your comment!
I wanted to love this so much but after…
I wanted to love this so much but after consulting with my holistic vet he does not feel the ingredients will properly support a feline. His past patient who tried this was so anemic she almost lost him. As a vegan feeding my cat's meat is a struggle but they are oligate carnivornes and its not believed this food can meet those needs and so I do not think until there is more science this is an ethical product.

We have several customers who have been feeding their pets with our food for over 3 years, and they are in excellent health! Moreover, there are independent veterinarians who know and suggest our food for animals suffering from allergies or with sensitive stomachs. I invite you to read the reviews on Trustpilot. Nature's HUG contains an alternative protein that has the same amino acid profile as meat without actually being meat. It is a complete and nutritious protein. Our formulas are highly nourishing and contain nutrient-rich ingredients for the health of dogs and cats. Just read the ingredient list to understand how optimal and unique it is! It's not automatic, not every problem is always related to food, some health issues in animals have causes other than diet, just like in humans. If you have any specific questions, you can contact us at: service@natureshugpetfood.com. Thank you for your comment.

Excellent
Great customer service. Ran into a glitch with customs but was quickly rectified. My dogs and my cat seem to enjoy this food. After trying several other products with various brands I must say I’m quite impressed with the quality of this food. Having it shipped from Canada was not a major issue. I do encourage the company to add better packing. The bags were simply in a box with no packaging
