More basic help desired
Although I am a skilled user, and can follow what pair tells me to do when I ask a question, I would still like more "hand-holding." When I ask a question and the answer is basically "Modify your .htaccess file and add a command to do X" — which is what I got — that's less helpful than I would like. Maybe that means I am not pair.com's target user and I should get a different host.

The support person was fine and tried to be helpful. At the end of the day, you need better anti spam software. Adding a thousand rules no longer works. I’m playing whack-a-mole. The scammers are winning.

Horrible unprofessional service and experience, absolute nightmare
The migration has been a complete and utter disaster, and has compromised and made my work more difficult. The service team has been unhelpful after numerous calls. And to make matters even worse I now have hundreds of spam messages to deal with each day. I was told that this is a Pair issue and would be rectified but it has only gotten worse.

Pair networks are real humans doing a great job, the recently performed an in place major version mysql server upgrade, but crucially took their time, running a complete pre migrate test in a staging environment, to verify the upgrade would work prior, and then managed it at a time that suited us, and informed us along the way.

After a few failed attempts to reach Tech Support on a busy Monday morning after the July 4th weekend,
I selected "sales" on the phone menu and was connected to Tech Support. A terrific representative named Joe spent an inordinate amount of time with me trying to find the problem I was having when trying to send email from my iPhone 17 Pro. We determined that all settings on the Pair end were proper and there must be a problem on the "Apple" side. After a lengthy call with a tech at Apple Care, the issue was solved.
Joe at Pair was terrific. He showed extraordinary patience, professionalism, technical knowledge, and was vey friendly.
Compliments to him for his service. Pair should be proud and happy to have him on staff!

As far as I'm concerned, this team all deserve a raise in pay. Dominic, Don, Devin and Annie helped us sort out some pretty sticky connection errors we were having in our email client.
And then, we briefly lost http service in the wee hours. An email to urgent@pair prompted the team to check the server logs and somehow during a debugging operation I was conducting I evidently set off a bunch of packets that looked to Apache like an intrusion attempt and it locked me out, generating a series of 403 errors. The team consulted the server logs and whitelisted our IP#, so that won't happen again.
First Class! I highly recommend the team at Pair Networks.
