Site Builder is not good for Contact Us forms.

It took some repetition to make my request clear to the support desk person, and then there was no good answer (this part is not his fault). The new Site Builder has no direct system for receiving customer requests via a Contact Us Form, and no system at all for facilitating our reply to the customer. It requires a tedious manual workaround.

Support was not typical Pair high quality

Support was not at the typical level of high quality I've come to expect from Pair. The issue was intermittent "Internal Server Error (HTTP 500)" messages and "Error Establishing a Database Connection" messages that indicated an issue at Pair. But the support person, instead, suggested that my database password had been changed (it had not been!) He mistakenly changed it to an old password that was commented out in my wp-config.php and then realized his mistake and changed it back asserting it was working now. But immediately after we ended the call the intermittent errors continued.

He caused me further problems by referring the account to Pair security because the Wordpress installation failed a checksum. I had already scanned with Wordfence and verified no malware was involved. Then, it took Pair security almost 24 hours to scan the site and declare it clean (they found a readme file had been deleted which caused the checksum issue!) This action meant the site could not receive further troubleshooting support from tech support because it needed to clear security first.

By the time Pair security had finally scanned and cleared the site the problems had gone away but I've not heard anything back from Pair as to what the issues were. Based on everything I know, this was likely a Pair web server and/or a Pair database server issue that probably got resolved in a reset.

the unblock occurred in fast fashion

the unblock occurred in fast fashion. Calling on the phone and being put in a que that lasts forever is not good business.

Being able to write in and have someone QUICKLY see the issue, fix it and get notice its fixed is great.

If blocked and you try to go to the page, the timing of the block reverts back to 1 or 2 hours. Therefore, users are stuck for safely, 2 hours before they can get back in.

Using the help ticket seems to get things done quicker.

I would like to know if Pair staffs this way 24 hours a day.

Knowledgable and easy to work with

Pair has managed our company's main server for many years and I'm very thankful for the terrific support they've provided along the way. I recently needed a config change to the host OS and Sam got it done quickly and painlessly.

please give explicit web site name in noiice

I resolved the issue when I determined I had not renewed the certificate.
I appreciate the issue was investigated, but I had already solved it.
One issue you should correct. The email notice of expiration did not include the specific web site needed attention, just the admin.
Please include the explicit web site name requiring attention.

I ventured into WordPress hosting

I have a file store here, which I use to serve documents and images. This is on a VPS, mainly because of my technical and hobby interest. More recently, I signed up for WordPress hosting with a limit of two sites. I use one of these for a website that easily does everything I want it to. I like the WordPress control panel or dashboard. You can download Plugins which add particular functionalities to your site or dashboard. These are usually free of charge, from something similar to an App Store. The great Staging feature allowed me to develop the structure, content and appearance of my website prior to going live. I also have PairCDN on that site; again, mainly a hobby thing. When you need support, you will find that they are very good. It is human support, but often you can find what you need via the Knowledge Base. Support was great when I was developing my website and getting it off the ground as some aspects were beyond my capability.

Pair not responding to new UI issues - it's broken

I got a personal response from Pair - this is good.

But the fix has not been made - your breadcrumb trail is broken.

This is concerning - if you can't even address issues with your own admin interface then how good is the rest of teh support at Pair?

I've reverted to using the old UI - it's not fit for purpose. I bit more flashy - but less functionality. What's with hiding the SSL management interface too.

PULL the new UI - return to the old one - and if you want to update it at least do not make the interface less useful.

This is actually about the way your security & abuse section handled our latest request for assistance following a malware attack.

This is actually about the way your security and abuse section handled our latest request for assistance cleaning malware. To me security and support are the same for all intents and purposes though to you they may be considered separate. Indeed they ran the scan to find and clean malignant files but argued about removing symptoms of the malware attack saying that they were not responsible for that. They finally agreed to do that as "a one time courtesy". I don't consider that any sort of courtesy but part of the one time job that we paid for. When I asked what edit they did to accomplish that so that I might handle that myself if this ever reoccurs, I got a vague unhelpful answer saying that they did the edit through the website dashboard.

Quick response, exactly to the point

Quick response, exactly to the point. And Pair Support (Charlie) took the initiative to fix the problem where a subdirectory entry was calling an old version of PHP. In addition, he informed me how I could fix it myself if the problem recurs. I am very grateful.

could not ssh into Pair

I was unable to ssh into my Pair account using an SSH keypair. Lilith replied that there were too many failed login attempts. I had installed an ssh program and tried it out. It did not work.

The messages from Pair Support were prompt and helpful and helped me fix the problem

Spam issues resolved!

I had trouble with several of my accounts getting too much spam. I contacted Pair and they responded very quickly and addressed the issue.

I am always impressed with the level of technical expertise Pair engineers have as well as their communication skills.
