Wouldnt really call them royal mail anymore, they have been privatised and its clear to see.
They are clearly holding off my letters for days on end until its deemed worth it to deliver. I always receive all my letters at once.
I also sent a birthday card first class 6 days ago. Still not arrived at the address.
Joke of a company and another great example of why nothing good comes from privatisation apart from shareholders lining their pockets.
They are simply unfit for purpose. Wont be long till they go under or get sold off again. Ill give it a few years.

I was sent a parcel after a purchase (a birthday present) from eBay via the 48 hour Tracked service. I need the item to arrive quickly so the 2-3 days service should of been adequate.
The 48 hour service turned into a 144 hour service with a 400 mile detour, The tracking showed that the parcel went from Romford to Blackpool via Edinburgh.
What are you playing at Royal Mail, you used to be a trusted market leader, get your act together, provide the service you are offering. People rely on you to provide good service, what has happened, I wont be using you in the future
Tracking just doesn't work with RM
Not for the first, second or even third time I'm unable to track a parcel that was confirmed sent three days ago. Royal mail are massively behind in their standing with their competitors in my experience. They appear to offer a tracking service, but it's actually unavailable. Poor

If 0 stars was optional I would select it. The post office is London Victoria Docks Delivery Office is the worst!!!! Their Redelivery process is a joke. They’ve had 1 of my items sitting in their deport for 1 week with no update. Another item due to be re delivered today and no update.
Incompetent Organisation.
Sent a parcel on the 11th May, 48hr Tracked with an ebay Simple Delivery label. Has the information printed clearly on the label, address, sender details, tracking number, barcode.
Today, tracking states it's still at the Parcel Shop. Parcel shop staff say its been collected and sent to the Gateshead Hub on the 11th.
I rang Customer Services, (52 minutes on hold) before chatting to a Rep, they say it's impossible to track. Nonsense, Ring Gateshead Hub, speak to a manager, ask who was responsible for collection on that day at that Parcel shop on the 11th, there has to be a log somewhere. Speak to the driver. Search the Gateshead facility as someone there isn't doing their job properly and scanning the barcode.
An email reply from them within 24 hours, it's been 4 days so far and still nothing, no reply, just a generic automated email reply which is no good to anyone.
Pathetic, inept, unprofessional, incompetent, inadequate, inferior organisation which should be overhauled.
Another parcel I sent on the 2nd March, travelled all over London, returned to Gateshead on the 18th March and believe it or not, is still there to this date, it hasn't been returned to me. Tried to make a claim and the item is not eligible as Gateshead have it.
Unfortunately I have to give one star, but would have preferred zero.

I live in Plympton, a suburb of Plymouth and the deliver drivers are the laziest available.
I have always provide an alternative address should I not be in, which is only 100metres from my address. Time and time again they ignore the instruction and don’t deliver. On one occasion rather than go the extra 100m the driver signed for the parcel themselves abs just put it in my wheelie bin.
If I could choose not to use this delivery service I would not, but often there isn’t an alternative when ordering.
If you have the choice AVOID parcel force.
Constant problems with Royal Mail
Constant problems with Royal Mail. I had a parcel delivered to the wrong house, the ‘proof of delivery’ picture was just the posties feet walking on a path. I struggled to get a refund from the retailer as Royal Mail were confirming it had been delivered.
Recurring issue with them also when I book a collection. They don’t turn up (confirmed by my doorbell camera) and then send me invocation that I wasn’t in.
There seems to be no sensible way of highlighting these issues and a complaint I did make got lost.

Useless service they've had my package for two week now and still not delivered even though it was promised that it would take 1-3 days, you'd have more success with a carrier pigeon
Ordered something from overseas
Ordered something from overseas. Arrived in the UK 3 weeks ago, with no movement. I desperately need it to arrive in the next few days and Royal Mail make it impossible to speak to a person. I was on hold for a combined 3 hours before the phone line cut off saying 'I'm sorry, our phone lines are now closed'.
Atrocious service that obviously does not care about its customers at all.

It's 1900 and ParcelForce 'Tracking' app still tells me to expect my delivery between 0935 and 1235! Utterly useless - I've no idea where my package is or when to expect it.

i have had enough of that useless company as i have now been waiting after being promised that my delivery would be between 6.30pm and 7.30 pm on 14th 15th and 16th i have had messages saying unable to deliver item and others saying it will be with you later today it has taken me a 1hour and 30 mins to get a answer on phone its about time the goverment took over royal mail and kicked out all the money grabbing office boys and put responsible people in charge i would not recommend using them as couriers are more reliable unfortunately it gives the seller a bad name and its not his fault i actually visited
royal mail and they said my parcel is coming from a depot 60 miles away why i ask is it not sent to local depot perhaps thats too difficult for them anyway end of moan lets see if it arrives before xmas i forgot to mention when its sent 48 tracked according to a white collar worker its the name of a service and does not mean it will be deliver in 48 hours now you know what sort of idiots we are dealing with totally incompetent no wonder there voted no 1 for worst service in uk

Royal Mail is an absolute disgrace of a company. Is it any wonder they lose so much money. I order off Amazon it arrives next day and sometimes same day. This is these clowns in glorious INCOMPETENT action.
Ordered a pair of Li Ning basketball trainers as my son had trials for a well known team. Realised once on the site we were not going to get them in time as shipped from China and they don't currently do expediated delivery to UK.
Ordered anyway as he needed new shoes and contacted Way of Wade to see if it was possible to pay expediated postage.
The wonderful service manager Chloe responded immediately and stated as per website that they don't currently do this service to the UK. She said however she would contact their courier to see if they could prioritise getting this parcel delivered faster.
With only a week until trial I didn't expect to receive but appreciated the wonderful customer service. She updated me all of the way with what she had done.
Couldn't believe when tracking it was with Royal Mail in Sheffield on Wednesday on 48hr guaranteed delivery due to arrive Friday, day before the trials. My son was over the moon.
ENTER ROYAL MAIL
Sheffield to Manchester = 40 miles.
They send to Doncaster - 10 Miles. Manage to f*** up scanning and send from Doncaster to Preston - 93 miles. I called on the Friday to find out why they were in Preston on the day they were due to be delivered. The useless operator said they'd messed up but would sort and and even try and get them delivered to Manchester and me on the Friday.
Preston - Manchester 32 Miles so ok, shouldn't be difficult.
No show so ring up Saturday morning (Trials early evening) as still showing in Preston not Manchester and I thought I'll pick them up as wouldn't trust these to arrange a piss up in a brewery.
Another useless operator I really struggled to understand. They are not in Preston. They've sent them back to a Doncaster -93 miles.
So 72 hours after receiving for 48hr guaranteed delivery they have travelled 200 miles to be back where they started and will now not have them for the trials.
You want to know why you bleed money. Because you are INCOMPETENT.
Red Ed wants to get omissions down. Close this joke of a company. This 1 parcel has so far travelled 200 miles on a 40 mile journey just to end up back at the start.
Absolutely dreadful service
Absolutely dreadful service. As others have said, the service used to be good. In our rural area, when we had a regular 'postie' he knew who to contact, or where to leave a parcel. Two attempts to deliver a very small package, but still getting a message 'we missed you'.
This was a tracked delivery, so what hope is ther for untracked items?

Yet again email stating there was no one in. 2 so called attempts to deliver, totally untrue. No indication of what they've done with my package. I note Trustpilot reviews are all negative! Who do we complain to? Why is there no accountability?

I had an attempted delivery notification when I was in. I complaint to Royal mail, I did redelivery and the parcel with my name and address was delivered to another address. I notified the sender and complaint to Royal Mail that apologised and said they are investigating. Unfortunately, deliveries are not up to the same standards as before. Not always the same delivery person. Letters and parcels to different addresses are left in the building on regular basis.

From the other overwhelmingly terrible reviews, you won’t be surprised to hear that I am utterly disappointed with the Royal Mail track 48 service. Especially so because Royal Mail lie, using the excuse of ‘address inaccessible’ because they either don’t have the staff or can’t be bothered to deliver tracked items. Have been waiting all week for an important parcel. Stayed home waiting all day, tracking says ‘20 stops away’ then ‘50 stops away’ then says ‘nobody was home’ even though I am waiting here all day and there is no sound of a ring! Same thing next day and their excuse is ‘address inaccessible’. Will definitely use another service for parcels in future. Awful service!
