Pretending to attempt to deliver parcels
Royal mail used to be a decent company to send parcels with, but I feel lately that they have gone down hill, as they cannot cope with demand.
Trying to "fake" meet quotas, by saying delivery attempted, is wrong in so many ways. When I was at home waiting for delivery, and nobody even knocks or leave a card.
Getting beyond a joke when you then get notimitations saying parcel delivery attempted. Get your act together Royal mail..it's ridiculous.

Priceless - they say can you print at home & when I ticked no, they sent me an email containing useless information and no label!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Service without service
At a total lost why our great political friends sold off a piece of British heritage they have no shame only interested in themselves. Sent a parcel from Scotland to Derby rural area . The added they said was wrong when in fact 100 percent correct. Spoke with an agent this morning said it would be delivered today from the Nottingham hub never happened is being sent back to me . The Royal Mail is in a mess it needs serious attention there customer service is a shambles . Are the UK government just let this great service go the way of some of the dubious courier services run by companies outside the UK . Unbelievable.
6 months, now a rotten service
Royal mail Tracked 24 to Leeds centre now a 3 working day post, tracked 48 has been between next day and 7 day delivery.
The service in the last 6 months has gone down hill so fast, I have now officially had enough and as of this morning i closed my account with you after 5 years.
I love the fact that the customer care…
I love the fact that the customer care number says we're very busy at the moment and thank you very much for being patient and kind to our members of staff as we have understaffed the call centre and your call will take 25 minutes or more please don't shout at anybody. If you're really upset by our choice of making money over providing good customer services we don't want to hear.
Terrible
Terrible. Every time I use them or a company delivers with them there is an issue. The most reliably unreliable postal and package company inth UK. Often claim items are undeliverable on days I have not left the house. No missed delivery cards ever received in those instances. Just the worst. All other delivery companies seem capable of getting a package to us...
Awful service
Awful service. Posting items 48hrs tracked and tracking is taking around a week to show any movement. Items are also being lost. Trying to contact someone on the website to query these problems is a waste of time as they aren't interested and you just get the same response that if it hasn't arrived within 10 days you can claim. I want a service i can trust and get the service i pay for but definitely not getting this from Royal Mail.
Really awful - again
Really awful again. They lost the first order I placed and ignored my delivery instructions to leave the replacement order in a safe place. The tracking system isn’t fit for purpose.
They refuse to pay out compensation for damage in transit!
I sent an item worth £350 and paid extra for compensation up to £750, just in case something went wrong during transit.
Unfortunately, my item was damaged. I immediately filed a claim, expecting the coverage I had paid for, but the company outright refused to compensate me.
Their customer service is a joke, and they don't honour their promises or the extra protection you pay for.
This is the worst experience I've had with a courier service. Do yourself a favour and stay clear of this Royal Mail!
They say they have tried to deliver…
They say they have tried to deliver however I have been in the whole day and then I have to collect it from the post office. I then arrive and they tell me I have to wait until midday, even though it’s stated I can collect the whole day. Also the customer service helpline is atrocious.
Stockpiling letters is fraudulent !
Postman admitted to me they are stockpiling letters and have been told by management to prioritise parcels over letters.
You’re paying for 1st Class post and you are NOT getting it !!
Every week is the same, we get no letters every day then 10 arrive on one day all at once with an elastic band around them. This is repeated every week to ten days.
Hospital appointments are being missed because of this and we get blamed by NHS!
Tracking information is the worst of all couriers. It’s not bad enough you only get a four hour window so you wait in. But they don’t turn up and don’t update tracking. Then they arrive tomorrow instead!
Shocking and fraudulent service. So expensive to send first class yet they keep them until they have a batch to give you. fraud !
They lie saying they couldn't deliver…
They lie saying they couldn't deliver my parcel because the building was inaccessible while I was home and seen their van in my area. Happened good few times. It's tragic. They don't care.
My Dad was a postie all his working…
My Dad was a postie all his working life back when the Post Office meant something. He was looked after, felt a comradarie, a sense of pride. He knew all his customers, would stop and chat to them in town. The model has changed. We don't get to know our postie anymore. They work longer hours. Our post is erratic..twice a week if that. I subscribe to The Radio Times, supposed to be delivered on a Tuesday but never received until the Saturday, so 4 days late. I get appointment letters too late. My Dad wouldn't recognise today's service and in fact he would be ashamed. I read a book called 'Dear Granny Smith', a memoir of a postie of my Dad's age lamenting the loss of a service he loved and was proud to be a part of but which had died along with many old posties, like my Dad

I wish there was a no stars section because I feel cheated, The Royal mail, (Thats an abuse of a title ) is a disgrace, they charge you for next day delivery, then take 4 days to deliver and it was an envelope!!!!!!!, Terrible.

Consistently bad at delivering. They barely let you get to the door before leaving you a missed delivery note and disappearing. Tracking app never works properly either. Almost as bad as evri.

Sent legal documents through the tracked & signed facility to Italy - the advise was three days, well 3 1/2 weeks later they only went as far as Langley with no other updates since 1st April. Customer call centre is clearly not UK based as language was an issue, I can't raise a 'lost' complaint until 7th May. I've more legal postage to send soon and there is no way what so ever that I will use Royal Mail/Parcel Force. DHL or Fed-Ex next time.
Falsified delivery attempts and zero accountability in Banbury
It is an insult to the Royal Cypher that a company with this level of service is allowed to use it. I have spent the last 48 hours trapped in my flat waiting for an expensive delivery, only to receive a "Sorry we missed you" notification. No one rang the intercom; no one even approached the building.
This isn't an isolated incident—it’s a recurring failure in a major town like Banbury with its own sorting office. To falsify delivery attempts to "stop the clock" on a Tracked 48 service is pathetic and dishonest. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I waited 13 days for a 24 tracked parcel, never once had any tracking on it, was bought from a uk company in the uk and royal mail want extra postage money off me, they can keep the parcel and I will eventually get a refund anywa.
Please do not use royal mail, you are paying for a service you simply fo not receive, it is basically stealing people's hard earned money

Used to be great but Royal Mail is now the new Yodel...a complete let down failed delivery service. I was waiting in for my parcel which was next day signed for due to arrive on Saturday. They apparently attempted delivery however they didnt due to the address being "inaccessible" which is impossible. I then asked for it to be delivered to my nearest post office which when Royal Mail was running well, it wouldve been ready to collect the following Monday. Its now Wednesday and deliveries are being "attempted" to my address when Ive already stated collection from the postoffice. I have had to get in contact with customer services after a lengthly 30minute wait and they weren't able to help me other than advise my parcel will arrive at the postoffice on Friday....FRIDAY! Thats one week after the 24 hour parcel had been sent. Utterly unacceptable and I will be avoiding Royal Mail for the first time ever until they sort their service out. I am doubtful that my parcel will even be ready for collection on Friday. Very late delivery and its left me fuming. Everyone boycott until they sort their Sh.. out!
