We first appointed Penny and Sinclair as agents to sell my mother in law’s property and based on the positive experience we went back to them when we came to sell our house.

Was able to rent a lovely apartment in Oxford for 6 weeks via Penny Sinclair. Helpful and friendly staff.

Perfect location, cozy and nicely maintained apartment, well stocked kitchen, wonderful and responsive landlords. All and all an experience we wish we could replicate every year.

Despite being a loyal client of Penny & Sinclair their lettings service / property management has become untrustworthy - wrong dates on tenancy agreements (they indicate their landlord clients should correct errors - surely there shouldn’t be errors in the first instance? not least dates of tenancy!) reduced frequency of property inspections (their terms of business (professional obligations) stipulate inspection frequency which has not been adhered to), shortfall on tenancy deposit (the tenancy deposit does not represent 5 weeks of rent which landlords should be protected with) leaving landlors exposed if there is property damage that could potentially be at least partly protected (stating it’s “not their policy” to check the tenancy deposit amount), prolonged response times that need chasing, trying to excuse it all with a “heavy workload”! Over £1k in property management fees for a year and all I received as a landlord was two property inspections which I even had to ask to take place. Landlords look elsewhere if you want reliable service and accurate tenancy deposit protection.

Clear communication, out of hours support, flexibility on check in and check out, property clean and good quality.

Some more attention to detail before moving in would have made the experience more enjoyable (e.g. check that heating and lights are working). The cleaner who was scheduled to come did not come.

Both properties exceeded expectations. The self-check-in process was easy and efficient. Properties were beautifully decorated and offered comfortable space for our large group of guests.
Georgia & Emily were very accommodating and always responsive to our queries and needs. We would definitely use Penny & Sinclair again for our stays in Oxford!
