Plesk Web Host Edition est passé de 400…
Plesk Web Host Edition est passé de 400 euros a 700 euros en trois ans c'est du n'importe quoi cette augementation qui n'est pas justifié
Hello there.
Hello, I was previously less satisfied with Plesk, but want to make apologies. It is hard for start but simplifies in occurrent production purposes. Thank you IONOS Partnership for key, and then I wish best luck, it needs really a long time to make something like this. For start it was 1 star, then with few understanding of UI it is 4 stars, but still some personal difficulties I cannot overview objectively.
I trust and recommend Plesk, have a good day!
Total horror.
Total horror.
Slow admin panel and outdated server optimization.
It's all slow and some of the settings don't make sense.
Object cache never worked properly.
And it's all 10 years behind.
Plesk has been getting worse and worse…
Plesk has been getting worse and worse and no longer has any competitive advantage.
Sure it supports docker, where WHM doesn't, but only docker, docker-compose isn't supported and you'll still manually have to setup everything for a compose system.
WordPress Toolkit was amazing, still is, but since other panels now have it, it's no longer a plus to Plesk.
As for email, it's the worse, it's got next to NO ability to filter spam by regex, SEIVE or other... They support grey listing SEVERWIDE ONLY and as for tools for tracking mail delivery and dealing with mail issues. There isn't any....
I can't honestly recommend this panel, some basic features that are a MUST still haven't been implemented 8 years on even though customers have been asking for it constantly.
I wish I could say something more positive about it, it's interface is ok I suppose.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Highjack you, rob you blind, incapable of simple requests about even speaking to them. They would not cancel my service then after my contract was up. Two months after service was argued about and was told my contract was up and cancelled I was still billed there after. After fighting my way to the tool to get service from a beyond manager. With a third party of inc authority service representative going to bat with me I was able to force them to agree to give me 200$ back and to cancel my domain sincerely for sure with on phone verbal witness. They would still not reverse charges of 29.99 x 2 for domain said they couldn’t it what possible. I told them to grow up and don’t hire damn jobs and to stop being worthless because it wasn’t my job to fix their mistakes and I want going to refund my own money to myself. Do not use this company their are thieves robbers and hijackers. I asked them where there office was they said chicago/ somewhere else, and Bulgaria. Obviously that tells you everything you need to know. Do not use this service and if you have experienced this same types of issues and are reading this please also then leave a review so that other custokers don’t end up in same situation as is. 2.4 as a rating over all. They need to stick to their own country and stop infesting ours. I hope Americans realize this is why humans here in America need to work is because when you branch out and sun out work to other countries they will disgustingly destroy Americans purposely becaus s they do not care for us. Mostly cause most Americans are crazy and worthless. And I can agree with them on that fact. FJB and anyone that follows that regime. Any Americans choosing to deal with and do business with out of country site holders and severs and more should be held accountable for associating with folks like this. Neve again would I deal with Plesk. Never. And you should not either. Thank you
Plesk going dowhill... Fast!
Ever since Oakley Capital acquired Plesk (along with several other companies/brands under their WebPros portfolio) it's being going downhill. Also every year you get a "nice" price increase (every single year).
Plesk states that the price increase is needed to and I quote "to invest heavily in product development and grow our partner ecosystem", "even more new solutions to support" and "leader in server, web infrastructure, and WordPress automation solutions".
Wow. That makes Plesk the perfect product for hosters and their customers, right? Well forget about that. The only thing Plesk actually "leads" in, is terrible high pricing (each year a new price increase) and instead making things better, things are getting worse! They only spend money changing the UI with more gimmicks and flashy graphics, not the experience itself.
For example; I reported an issue 7 or 8 months ago. It probably would be fixed, but there was no time for it. So last month I decided to update the support ticket about the status. Apparently they forgot or didn't care for it, so I kept pushing and it finally got fixed. Wow. Only ~8 months. Great service!
Support in general is also going downhill completely as well. It takes more time before getting an answer/solution and most of the time you are you get answers that you have to hire an expert (outsource the Plesk issue) or do it yourself. Sigh.
I doubt Plesk will be in the business long if they keep this up. And when Oakley Capital sees a repeating decline (in their revenues) they will drop Plesk completely or sell it off to some weird company most probably for scraps. And guess where you are this point as a hoster...?
Plesk was the best solution around, by far, till ~5 years ago when they were acquired by Oakley Capital. After that things changed (and not for the better either). The first year was still okay, after that the first price increases came and things went completely sour after that...
Just my 2 cents. Not that Plesk cares, let alone Oakley Capital.
A very bad control panel
By mistake, I have deleted 80% of my websites. There were no messages. I don't understand, I wanted to delete one website and it ended deleting many websites. Then, I wanted to restore the website. the mysqldump didn't work. There was an issue related to settings which was known by plesk users on their forums. Control panel is slow from time to time. It does not come from my virtual server.
So, i want to tell my story. I used plesk and I wasn't happy about the wordpress management feature that interfered with wordpress installations. I moved my most important websites to a free control panel: Hestia and i am happy about it. One day, I wanted to migrate the websites left on the Plesk installation. So, i decided to first delete the empty website. By doing so, at some point, in one go, I have deleted all domains. I don't know how I did it because I didn't see a popup message. Then, I told myself, no problem I have backups. I discovered that the databases of every website were missing in the backup. They use a mix of tar and another compression format that nobody uses. It is called zstd. Anyways. Conclusion, I lost everything because of Plesk control panel.
If I could give them a negative 10
If I could give them a negative 10, I would. Horrible. Can't speak to anyone. Changed versions and I have been locked out because of their horrible programming.
NEVER, NEVER....
Exceptional service with outstanding…
Exceptional service with outstanding support. Adopting PLESK is probably the best and the easiest way to manage a server.
The ticketing support they offer (at least to paid customers) is simply out of this world. All the employees very keen to assist!

worst panel i am seeing my recommend is build own panel we plan to build own. plesk based on php it take long time processing request so many vulnerability. worst development sorry plesk bye... i am losing our costumer trust never trust plesk.
Pure trash
Super slow to work with, keep bumping into issues when trying to build a website. General file permission issues, have to install or make updates for Wordpress/plugins via FTP, site keeps showing old cache even after deleting cache in Wordpress and disabling caching plugins, couldn't change the maximum upload size in any way possible.
Lost a lot of time trying to create a simple website.

Highly recommended - ignore silly consumer reviews
All the silly reviews from end-user consumers should be ignored - this is for reviewing the Plesk server management and control panel software itself, and not your web host that uses Plesk, or rant about how your site was down and Plesk is the host - it is not.
Plesk is amazing. I have worked in and sell web hosting since 1997, and I've tried all other control panel software, Plesk is by far one of the best. It has some rough edges, and could use work to be a true reseller solution (i.e. no SSL for reseller's login), but offers a ton and more importantly, is fast and reliable, two things vital in a control panel.
The excellent server management and updating makes managing servers super easy, even for non-technical agency types. It comes pre-installed from all the major server providers, including Vultr, Digital Ocean, Linode, AWS, GCC, and it is often even provided free by larger server resellers like IONOS.
All the hosting, email, and service configuration options are detailed and easy to tweak, and huge extensions library make it expandable and able to handle anything, including Docker, Node.js, Litespeed, etc etc etc.
The tech support is top-notch, has never let me down, and always a very accurate and specific technical solution. There are also thousands of knowledge base articles covering every issue with workarounds or solutions, making support not used much at all.
The Plesk migration tools are superb! I can migrate between Plesk servers so easily, it's effortless. I can migrate from other hosting platforms, including dead ones like HSphere, easily too.
I wish it had integrated billing like HSphere had, so I use Blesta. I wish it had multiple server support (their existing product is basically dead), so configurations and plans could be synced across all servers easier.
But in the end, it works great, I run a web hosting company with automatic billing and provisioning, and Plesk makes it easy!
Awful
Awful. Just awful. How can a software company write a workflow like this? How to change website? - Can't login to do it. How to change password? - Enter username we never sent you years ago. How to get help with username? Login and enter your Plesk License Key. Are you F-in serious? And GoDaddy is just as bad. They set up Plesk as their hosting platform and their chat has read this for an hour, "Hang in there, your estimated wait time is 58 minutes" Pathetic. Imagine if this was a site that was down
Plesk is simply... TERRIBLE! Avoid it at all costs.
We have been a long standing customer with Plesk almost from the first hour, when it was still owned by SWsoft. It was back then (and the upcoming years) an excellent product and took away a lot of work in terms of creating hostingaccounts, customers and providing "our" customers an easy to understand interface.
But those glory days came to an end pretty quickly after Plesk was taken over by Oakley Capital (for over 100 million USD) and it was placed under their portfolio called WebPros (perhaps GreedyBunch would have been a way more suitable name).
Since (British) Oakley Capital Limited acquired Plesk we have seen a lot of nonsense being added to Plesk; all of these "updates" push "our" customers to purchase stuff through Plesk itself (SSL certificates, extensions and so on). Also we experienced two massive price increases since Oakley Capital took over! In some cases our (monthly) fee increased to almost a 1000% which is INSANE!
We fully understand a price increase. Maybe 40% the first time and later on, another 40%, but 1000% is totally and utterly unacceptable. But Plesk... I mean Oakley Capital does NOT care obviously. They have spend over a 100 million to purchase Plesk and they want their money back (with as much profit) as soon as possible! Who cares about what the customer wants?
Heck... What does being a customer for over 20 years mean with Oakley Capital? Nothing, nada, zilch. Just pay and shut up... Sheesh. Terrible!
I can only hold my breath for the future. I doubt Plesk will keep their customers this way. And if Oakley Capital notices this, they will dump Plesk as soon as they can and not look back. Probably it will end up with a Chinese owner or something. And that will be the end of Plesk in general...
The "funny" thing is, is that the same experience goes for other companies Oakley Capital acquired (and placed them under WebPros) e.g. WHMCS (massive price increase), cPanel (terrible price increase) and SolusVM (no experience with, but read the stories online).
We, our customers and many, many others have lost complete faith and trust in Plesk. We already migrated to different better and more affordable solutions and lowered our licenses to about 20% of what we had. As a result of this we are now saving almost 7000 USD a month! That's absurd.
The hosting business is becoming less profitable as it once was, however companies like Plesk, WHMCS, cPanel and so on (owned by Oakley Capital under WebPros) make it even worse...
