The latests Plesk Obsidian updates are a real nightmare : They are heavy and unstable, they will slow down your server and crash your sites (issues from different default configuration)... Horrible !

Good enough, I was satisfied by its capabilities

I have had a read over some reviews left by people. I always read 1 star first as those usually represent the real experience with the product. I can see that most have issues with the support, and others simply don't like, understand, or have experience working with complex Control Panels (and believe me, Plesk is a simplified version of what I would call complex).

Sure I will agree Plesk is not perfect. It has many rough edges, one of which is where the user is being bound to a single tab use (personal, but I like to use multiple tabs for better multitasking).

If you think that simply installing Plesk and calling it a day will be it, you are making a big mistake, Plesk just like cPanel and other Control Panels expect you to do regular maintenance and ensure you got the correct configuration and knowledge of the software (or at least a basic ability to read Troubleshooting guides and wiki articles).

I remember myself three years ago when I began using Plesk. It wasn't easy but a nice challenge. Articles were useful, and after some reading, the problem was most certainly sitting in the chair and not in the server or the software.

My server has been running for two years since a successful reinstall with all the correct configuration and has not failed me yet. All the sites are working as expected, built-in Firewall and fail2ban blocking malicious attacks. DNS is synced to my little DNS cluster, and all is well, and if all goes to hell, I know that I have a second server somewhere in the EU that will take over my failed one if things get nasty.

In conclusion, if one has issues with a product, one gets educated enough about the product before splattering all over its reputation.

And remember the PEBKAC (1)!

Just sharing my experience so far, I have been a customer of siteground for many many years, but as most other stupid hostings out there they'll offer you the first year at a reasonable price and the years followed after that they'll continually increase their price.
Long story short my last hosting bill was nearly 300 for a year with siteground for like 2 websites.. so then I came to find out about vultr.com which is where I also discovered plesk and after migrating everything myself I was really happy with the whole experience.
Conclusion is that now I'm paying 60 dollars for a whole year of hosting with vultr.com using plesk and I'm able to have a fair decent amount of traffic and websites before needing to upgrade any cpu or memory.
Sick of hosting companies ripping you off? Go to vultr.com and install plesk. Best thing anyone will ever do.

Probably the worst software I've ever had to deal with besides possibly Media Temple, which coincidentally uses plesk. So terrible. Everything about it screams "how the hell does this software actually exist in this terrible form in the year 2021"? It is bad. I mean, really bad.

Why On Earth, would anyone want to deal with someone who doesn't want to communicate with you?

Now. I don't know about you and I don't care, neither. You make your own choices.

I dumped Google (What? Yes, Fugg Google!)
I also dumped Twitter (no wait Jack banned me for talking truth so fugg him) but I dumped Mark Fugger (ops, Zucker, ...same shidd) and many "Other Big Shots" trying to Rule the internet. I don't need this shidd, really

Back to Plesk.

I changed from cPanel to Plesk. Yes. Look, you gotta try, OK, how else would you know?

Fair is fair and I need to say, the poor buggers needing a job and thus, working for this arrogant pack that "Leads" Plesk, are actually quite willing to hep BUT, they need to stick to PLESK policies and one of their policy is "NOT" to communicate with their paying clients.

Oh yeah, they'll fiercely denounce my claim by telling you; Hey, we allow you to use our "Official" support ticketing system to tell us, ...BUT, this official support ticketing system is ONLY AVAILABLE TO YOU, IF, ...you use any of our approved browsers.

Now why would we do this?

Simple: By using an approved browser such as Google Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc, ... you agree with us screwing you. meaning, we can steal your data, use your data, sell your date, in short, fugg with you any way we want.

Should you, however, ever DARE to use a browser that "Protects You", then we will ban you from accessing our official support panel and of course, we do that by using one of the Internet's most reputable 'Fugg you People' security interface like ZEND.

Basically, what we're saying is:
"Agree to being screwed" or - face reality of not being able to talk to us. That's fair, isn't it?

Yes, totally, fu*k you Plesk, and even better; FUGG YOU, PLESK. Take your shidd and swallow it yourself.

I don't know who all these people are that are saying that Plesk is easy to use. It is plain difficult to use, unintuitive and lumpy. Simple tasks like setting up emails takes forever to guess how it works. The largest files in disk usage viewer are have the possibility to delete them. Obviously that doesn't work for some files. I have had issues with hanging tasks, needless to say there is no task manager where you can just kill them.

The knowledge-base is expansive. It has to be because Plesk sucks so badly that there are literally hundreds of things to go wrong or not understand. However the resolutions are hidden unless you sign in. Signing up for an account to read the help for Plesk requires an email confirmation. Didn't arrive, perhaps they also cannot work out how to set up emails in Plesk. As such I am unable to ready the help pages for software that I have the indignity of paying for.

They get 2 stars instead of one because their support is actually fast and friendly. That's if Ionos can be bothered to escalate questions to them rather than just send back links to the knowledge-base that I am not allowed to read.

This is the worst platform I have ever used. Since moving from cPanel to Plesk, had nothing but problems with memory issues, disks space issue, slowness etc.. I thought it will make my hosting smoother rather it made it more time consuming dealing with every problem I have been facing using plesk. My website became much slower using Plesk....

PLESK ist ein gutes Serverpanel, aber hier geht es um die Abrechnung bei PLESK und ich bin zwar nicht direkt Kunde bei PLESK, aber ein Reseller.

Und jetzt sollten alle Reseller von PLESK gut aufpassen, PLESK Lizenzen können im schlimmsten Fall mehrfach genutzt werden, dass kann ein Faß ohne Bode werden, dass sogar in die Insolvenz führen kann.

In meinem Fall war es zum Glück nur ein Kunde, doch der Schaden ist enorm.

Das es illegal ist, eine Lizenz Mehrfach zu benutzen sollte jedem klar sein, schade das PLESK es nicht geschafft hat, jede Lizenz automatisch an die IP zu binden. Nun wurde die Lizenz 18x in den 3 Monaten verwendet.

Bei einem Monat wäre der Schaden noch im Rahmen, aber bei 3 Monaten ist das Kind schon in den Brunnen gefallen.

Und jetzt gut aufpassen, ich habe diese Rechnung erst nach 3 Monaten erhalten! Also jetzt am 1.9.2020

Ich darf jetzt also Juni, Juli und den August bezahlen und gegen den Kunden eine Anzeige wegen Raubkopieren machen.

Auf den Schade bleibe ich im schlimmsten Fall sitzen, hier hätte ich von PLESK mehr Kulanz erwartet, aber zumindest hat man es versucht, doch die maßgebliche Person hat sich dort leider geweigert, schlechter Service also.

Ich kann nur jedem Empfehlen, der PLESK Lizenzen weiterverkauft, hier wegen der Mehrfachnutzung aufzupassen, dass kann, wie gesagt schnell ins Armenhaus führen.

I initially left a good review about Plesk but after a few years I can now say that the service is terrible. Plesk is full of bugs and it can break overnight because of an update. I reported bugs on the forum, they didn't care and just asked me to buy a paid subscription. How convenient of a business to ask customers to pay $120/yr them to fix their own bugs. Plesk is a broken software, support is non-existent and the forum is just a funnel to convert users into paid subscribers. TERRIBLE SERVICE. GARBAGE SOFTWARE, GARBAGE SUPPORT.

Trustworthy? Sure. Not recommended. I cannot receive replies to any emails I sent, they do not answer a phone, their systems are too challenging to accomplish simple tasks. I cancelled my order after 5 days, and it was not simple to cancel it either.

I don't really care about your webpanel because we use cPanel, but SolusVM is top notch, I just wish the themes were modernized.

This is a decent service. I started using this control panel just 2 months ago I believe, it's very reliable, however, there are still many improvements to be done. What I don't like about this control panel the most is how you setup Node.js, I don't like the way you install it. Why not just have it installed already just in case customers want to use it. I'd prefer cPanel instead.

Très bon système que j'utilise depuis des années sur mes serveurs dédiés (sous CentOS). C'est une véritable simplification pour installer ses serveurs. Le logiciel est perfectible, il mériterait en effet d'avoir un véritable système de sauvegarde incrémentale plus complet et davantage paramétrable. Ceci dit il est très pratique pour pal mal de choses : paramétrage des variable sPHP, création des domaines, installation des certificats SSL, getsion des services... Le service client est inégal : parfois excellent, parfois moyen. C'est un point qu'ils gagneraient à améliorer : avoir des techniciens au service clients capables de dépanner. Je conseille.

I've had a few hiccups in the setup, but support was there that first month of me getting the license to help fix 99% of the issues I ran across (more or less, assistance in finding settings or the best setting).
We have a license from a reseller (so Plesk doesn't support it past the first month but the reseller should be) and we use it off of the reseller's network so the reseller won't support it. Plesk offers a monthly subscription to get support, but its not worth it currently in our startup phase.

Once you navigate the settings and get the feel of things, it is an excellent product! I've looked at cPanel's "backend" settings and it looks intimidating. I use DirectAdmin to host a few sites on a remote server should ours go down and it is beyond confusing. I hate going in to make any sort of change or to simply administer a site. Out of the few others I've tested, Plesk was still the best value, support (when you have it), and easiest to use!

EDIT: I've been in touch with the Plesk team and their Customer Success representative was ultimately able to solve my problem. I'm therefore updating my rating as a token of gratitude towards the team that strived to make my journey into System Administration a little easier.

I just installed Plesk Panel and I have to say that it was near to start year 2020, I do not understand how it can still be with version 5.6 of PHP, and if it were not enough I usually use version 10 of MariaDB, but Plesk comes with version 5 and also is not compatible, I have also tried some utilities that Plesk brings and horribly bad, I still do not understand how a panel so many years old and thong people paying licenses can be so antiquated. In resume is horrible.
