This company look after all my mums heating issues. Servicing and repairs if needed. Not only are they helpful but they are polite friendly and very knowledgeable.
I can’t recommend this company enough.

I was informed of the engineers name and time of arrival before he came which I found was reassuring as I live on my own . When he arrived i could tell by his competent manner that my boiler service was in good hands .

The engineer arrived on time and started work immediately. Although the job proved difficult he persevered and removed and replaced a faulty pump within the time estimated.

2 very polite engineers (George & Matthew) arrived on time to service my boiler with shoe covers in hand. Wiped their feet and put their shoe covers on.
When they finished servicing my boiler, they announced all the things that they had checked and provided the outcome.
I was very pleased with their explanations and will continue to use plumbgas going forward.

Plumbgas gave a reasonable quote for the work required and were able to offer a convenient appointment for it to be carried out. Name of engineer was also confirmed. Lewis kept us informed of his anticipated arrival and was on time. He was friendly and polite. Replaced a leaking radiator after draining the system and fitting new TRV along with some piping. System refilled and inhibitor included. He ensured all radiators were working before he left. Area was left clean and tidy. A very reliable company all round.

Despite someone calling in sick, Chris stepped into the breech and carried out our required work to a very high standard. Cost was exactly as quoted. Can't ask for more.

Our plumber was friendly and efficient in diagnosing the problem and gave us some good options to consider. I really appreciated his patience in explaining the issues.

Christmas Eve and my boiler stopped working. I called Plumbgas, thinking no way will this get sorted tonight, but the temperature was dropping fast and we’ve had a nightmare year re health issues. Anyhow; Stewart Shaw turned up within 30 minutes and worked tirelessly to get our heating working. I am so grateful for their Service and how they go out of their way to help. If you’ve never used Plumbgas, don’t hesitate their prices are fair and you don’t get that awful speel like some Companies.

Had our combi boiler replaced by a new heat pump through Heatgeek. Install was handled by Plumbgas in Stafford. The process from getting the heat loss survey and booking the installation was fairly seamless and the service was great. The install took 3 days with just over 36 hours without heating. Jon and Lou did a great job, were polite and cleaned up after themselves. Answered all of my questions as things went along. Would definitely recommend Plumbgas and heatgeek. Other quotes from large national companies as well as local ones involved massive work to upgrade all the pipework and repace all the radiators at a cost 3-4 times more than from heatgeek.
Heatgeek’s design involved only one radiator change (which was woefully small for the room anyway) and no changes to pipework as the new cylinder would go into the airing cupboard where the initial cylinder was 8 years ago. Other quotes from large national companies as well as local ones involved massive work to upgrade all the pipework and replace all the radiators at a cost 3-4 times more than from heatgeek.
The heatgeek quote guaranteed a 426% efficiency and as I was a bit sceptical, I installed 14 wireless temperature and humidity sensors throughout the house 3 weeks before the heatpump install. These I could monitor from my phone. Plumbgas installed a 3.5 KW vailant arotherm+ with a 210L vailant cylinder. The other companies had suggested between 6-9KW heatpumps.
Since getting the heat pump the temperature in the house has been consistent between 20 to 22 degrees and the house has been a lot more comfortable. This is confirmed by temperature sensors in every room. This was in stark contrast to when we had the boiler as it showed the temperature dropping to 16 and then spiking as high as 24. Energy usage has come down from an average 45 Kwh of gas daily during last winter to about 13 Kwh of electricity. On a day when it was 0 degrees all night with a peak of 3 degrees, the house temperature did not fluctuate and the electricity use was 20 Kwh. This heat pump coupled with my home battery will definitely reduce my heating costs to a third of what it was. Don’t believe all you read in the news, heat pumps do work on very cold days and the energy savings are brilliant especially on a dedicated tariff. These savings can be compounded if you have solar and/or batteries with a cheap nighttime tariff. Also the microbore and plastic pipework going into my radiators have not been an issue at all. The Heatpump is virtually silent even when running at full power. There may be models which are more noisy but this is not one of them.
