We visited Powells looking for a special and unusual 60th birthday gift for my wife, we were spoilt for choice with the window display, but with Tina's patience, knowledge and expertise we purchased a most unusual and exquisite bracelet.

There are a lot of jewellers in Chester but Powell's is the only one we visit, it is such a unique experience, warm relaxed and welcoming with a cosy individual shop layout almost back in time!! unlike the usual clinical glass top competition on the high street.

If you are visiting Chester and intending to purchase an item of jewellery make Powell's your first port of call you will not be disappointed !!,

For my Wife and I, a visit to Powell"s is a day out in itself.

The staff were very friendly, informative and patient. There was so much to choose from but I fell in love with one ring in particular which was beautiful!

After scouring the usual high street jewellers on the Internet for days and the minefield of offers and discounts not knowing whether you are actually getting good value for money we came across this gem of jewellers (excuse the pun) in the beautiful roman city of Chester. We found a stunning and unique ring for my wife's 50th birthday. The staff couldn't be more helpful and knowledgeable with my wife's requirements and had a range of specific rings for her pick from. She is absolutely thrilled with her choice! A big thank you to the staff at Powells for providing such an excellent and personal service.

My gents gold buckle ring was bought for me by my wife upon our engagement 51 years ago and was in need of re-sizing as I had not been able to wear it for some considerable time. The advice given by Richie at Powells was really helpful and I had no hesitation in giving them the ring for the required work to be carried out. What can I say, their goldsmith did a fantastic job in resizing the ring and it was returned to me shining and bright after being cleaned professionally and making it look brand new. I have shopped at Powells for a number of years and have no hesitation in recommending them not only for repairs but also in having a fantastic stock of unique and high quality items of jewellery for sale, a family run business that goes that extra step to assure you of satisfaction with every purchase that you make.
