Never go with the rac
I got the rac black box for my daughter, my daughter went away to uni, so the car was taken off rd, trying to cancel the policy was impossible, everything is done through a computer, I tried and tried to get a telephone number to speak to a human being, but was literally impossible, in the end I cancelled it from the bank,since then iv had lots of threatening letters, and threatening us with legal action , all I wanted to do was speak to human being to get it all sorted, but it is all done via a text message to a computer

although i scheduled my payment and got confirmation from RAC, it didn't go through and was charged £20.
Also when I asked why my insurance went up with £200, no explanation was given, except that it could be numerous things

Harassment
My autorenewal bounced as I had cancelled the credit card, but RAC levied a penalty befoee I had a chance to rectify it, then they cancelled the policy anyway and levied a cancellation fee, now have added other unexplained fees and threaten debt collectors. Straight up harrassment, a real swine of a company.
