This summer I decided to order the Beaumont Rev Electric City Bike for myself and it’s been perfect for both daily commuting and weekend rides. The build quality is excellent — sturdy, smooth, and clearly designed to last.

I was especially impressed with how fast the bike shipped and how easy it was to assemble. The customer service team was super helpful and responsive, answering all my questions before and after purchase.

Very happy with my new grateful dead ebike. Great value and bike, and it showed up fast.

My husband bought a retrospec beach cruiser and would ride his bike by the beach a few times per week and within less than a year, the bike broke under the seat and in a few other places. He took it to a bike shop and they told him retrospec had a lifetime warranty and that they would replace his bike since the damage fell under warranty. However retrospec denied liability saying that it was caused by wear and tear and they would not cover it. My husband brought his bike inside every day and took the best care of it because he loves biking. The bike shop owner told him that he has been so frustrated with retrospec because they have been denying other customers that should have been under warranty too, from e-bikes to beach cruisers to multi speed bikes. They simply give a blanket denial saying it was caused by wear and tear even though a bike is made to be ridden and not only to look at. Their quality has fallen dramatically causing the bikes to break down and now their customer service is following suit. Be warned that they do not back their warranty. He will be purchasing a different brand for his next bike. We wish we would have known about their awful customer service and bike quality before he purchased his last bike.

Do yourself a favor and do not order from this company. My bike was sent to a wrong address, was told they were unable to stop the process after I called about not receiving a confirmation email. Ordered a second bike per customer support recommendation and I will get refunded. Ended up paying for 2 bikes when I only received one and the bike that I received arrived damaged and quality is terrible l. Get yourself a schwinn. They value their client aswell as awesome quality. I regret not ordering from my trusted company only because I wanted to try something new. I now understand all the angry clients and lawsuits that I found out about after ordering.

I ordered two small items (about $50 total) directly from Retrospec’s site instead of Amazon, where the same items come with free Prime returns. I did this intentionally to support the brand directly — but I regret that now.

When I tried to return the items, they charged $12 per item for return shipping, even though they came in one box. The fee was buried in the fine print and only became apparent after starting the return process. It feels deliberately misleading and makes their “50-day returns” promise feel hollow.

Bottom line: if you’re not 100% sure about sizing or fit, you’re better off ordering through Amazon. At least you’ll get a fair and free return option.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!! Buy your bike anywhere else than here. My sister bought me a cruiser bike for my birthday. In less than a month and after only 4 rides, the tires blew out. I took it to a bike shop and had to buy new tires and pay for the repair and new rims too. They were HORRIBLE to deal with and said they sent the right tires. They did NOT!!! They weren't even the right color. it could have been really dangerous when the tires blew out and I had to email them for a week and repeatedly send them the receipts and then they reimbursed my sister and not me. I am the one who paid for the correct tires, rims and repairs. They do not care about the customer and don't even pay attention to ship the correct items. Horrible, horrible, horrible company.

I ordered something and had a question. I searched for a phone number and the company doesn't provide one. You can communicate via email; however, they say it could take up to 72 hours to respond to an email. Regarding CHAT, it's just a bot, not a human. The CHAT didn't help because they only give a specific number of options. With this being said, if your question is not one of six to choose from, using the CHAT is no help at all. A company that makes it difficult for the customer to contact them during normal business hours speaks volumes about the company.
All I had was a simple question regarding a product I received and the fact I can't get an answer that would take five seconds to answer is frustrating to say the least. Service is More Important than Product. They do have very low prices and the products I ordered were decent quality, not super high quality, just average quality. They do ship very fast and was packaged well. If this company had a customer service phone number they would get four stars.

Do NOT order from this scam company. I ordered an item many weeks ago, costing $18. The company finally sent me a notification that it was delivered. I wrote to them saying I never received it. Now I'm being told it's my responsibility to locate it through my post office. This company is based on China so I should have known better. It's not worth the hassle for me to track it down.

Got the 20" Dart for my son about 7 months ago. First my husband had some problems getting it together (far from his first time doing this). Then, things started breaking all the time. They replaced a tube that had a hole, but that was about it. Issues with tires, gears, brakes. Way too many problems for the LACK of beating it takes in our flat neighborhood. Would never buy this brand again.

One of the most truly bizarre customer service encounters I've ever had.

I tried to return a product that did not function as advertised-- The cost to return it would have been 80% of the cost of the product itself, which means I would have only received a 20% return.

They kept loring over me the promise of a cheaper return label-- even a free one-- if I shared photos with them. I had already disassembled the product, so I did not have photos-- which I told them over and over. Nor was I interested in taking the time to reassemble it JUST to take photos.

Good riddance! Please avoid this company.

Bike arrived half out of its box and broke after 2 miles and customer support decided to say it was our fault for not taking it to a bike shop despite it being a gear issue.

I even provided photos of the bike damaged on arrival and somehow that was our fault. I hate leaving bad reviews for businesses but I’m baffled at the condescending email I received after having the bike for 5 days and having nothing but issues.

Total side note my basket arrived separately and also was damaged - I’m sure that’s my fault somehow too.

I get mistakes happen but for the company to immediately place blame on us despite it literally arriving poking out of the box and not taking any accountability is absurd.

I bought a bike from them, received the goods with a fault. The website didn’t offer an option to exchange for a new one, instead the return was the only option.
They have charged me $70 to return the bike even though it was broken to being with…

… really disappointing service…

The bike is nice enough but the customer service is pretty bad. I mistakenly ordered two bike locks and I have to send it back on my own dime. That's kind of ridiculous. Plus it took a lot of back and forth in order to even authorize the return. It definitely needs to be streamlined. I would caution buyers to look elsewhere to purchase a bike from a company that will not make returning or exchanging such a hassle.
