They shipped the suit immediately after my order. That was one positive.
When I received the package it had holes in it from the shipping. Not the company's fault but the carrier. However, inside the suit was not protected with any further packaging. So the humidity and moisture completely soaked the suit and it was a disaster. When I examined the suit it had snags in the stitching near the shoulders and looked somewhat weathered.. They described it as "like new" condition on the website. This was far from "like new" condition. Also, the sleeves only had two buttons as opposed to four as described on the website. Maybe I'm picky, but I hate the look of two buttons. Just looks cheap. I'm not an expert on wool so I can't say whether it was quality or not. However it was extremely heavy. The wool was rough, hot, itchy, and uncomfortable. I have other high quality 120s and 130s wool suits and they don't feel anything like this. Sizing wise it fit me, but I was swimming in it so it definitely was going to need some tailoring. No big deal.
Anyways, due to the timing of the upcoming wedding, I didn't have time to send this back, have them send me a replacement suit AND get it tailored. That would take weeks. Which is exactly what he offered to make it right. He also offered a discount on the suit jacket for me to just keep it instead of going through the hassle of sending it back. Normally those options are fair but, unfortunately it didn't work for my circumstances. Plus, how could I not help but feel sick paying over 300 Dollars for a suit that is not in new condition but has damage and wear on it... I told him the only thing I could do because of the timing of wedding was return it for a refund. He told me the return shipping was going to be my responsibility. I said that doesn't seem right considering I'm unhappy with the suit because it doesn't fit the description on the website AND it's damaged. He said that's a fair point and that they would refund the return shipping. However, I was trying to get out of him whether they were going to refund my entire total or if I was going to be responsible for the initial shipping charge. I had to ask him four times via email because he continued to deflect and ignore the question. Then the next day he went back to saying that I was responsible for the return shipping since they got everything right with the sizing....It wasn't a sizing issue! He pretends we never had this conversation and that he can't find his email in the thread saying he would refund the return shipping. So I showed him his email of him saying this. So he agrees again to cover the return shipping costs but this time refunding me for the initial shipping charge as a credit for the return shipping costs. In other words, I'm still responsible for the return shipping cost. They're just refunding me the initial shipping charge which rightfully should be done anyway. This Richard guy either thinks I'm a complete buffoon or he's absolutely delusional. I don't care how you phrase your words and deflect the questions. This is total unprofessionalism. I offered at this point to give him a positive review on their customer service if he would do the right thing and refund me the total amount, including both shipping charges, that was owed to me because of their misrepresented and damaged product. He wouldn't respond to my emails. Obviously customer service is not as important to him as saving $66 in business expense. I don't appreciate the long, drawn out, back and forth, beating around the bush garbage he was throwing at me, which went on for 3 Days mind you because of the time zone difference. Be straightforward with your customers. Don't put them through this headache. Yeah, the loss of the $60 for a suit I don't own due to the fault of the company is frustrating. But the headache he put me through trying to get straightforward answers was way more aggravating. Will not do business with them and I don't advise anyone to unless you don't care about customer service and quality. At the least, do not risk doing business overseas unless you don't care about losing good money if it doesn't go right. I'm sure he'll have his retort to this review to try and save face, or I'll get the "it's our company policy" spiel but this unprofessionalism will most likely carry into his dealings with other customers. Hopefully, though he will learn and work on this.

Three suits hired for groom, best man and usher.
First visit and Mark offered excellent advice and was very patient as we all tried several suits and various sizes. Once we all felt comfortable with the choices made the suits were bagged up and would be the suits set aside for us for the day.
When collecting the suits we tried them on for certainty that all fitted and one pair of trousers had a zip that was just slightly sticking. Mark replaced with another pair pressing the trousers so that they were perfect. Finally, upon request, Mark tied an excellent Windsor knot for all three ties.
On the day many commented on the suits and I was only too delighted to let people know they were from Richard Paul menswear hire of Stratford upon Avon.
Upon returning the suits Mark sounded genuinely interested on how the day had gone and had remembered a lot of the details we had talked about when initially being measured up several months ago.

The ordering experience was simple and the jacket I chose arrived quickly and was well packaged. The jacket is good quality and true to size. It looks exactly as depicted on the site and I am very happy with it.

I can’t recommend highly enough this company. They were very efficient, courteous and accommodating. We had to change some jackets we had bought online as ex-hire and yet the service was still second to none. They took measurements and then found a perfect fit. They even steamed the jackets so they were pristine. It is the best men’s clothing shop we have ever used.
