Initially dubious about schemes like this I'm still pinching myself as I have had everything supplied and done at NO COST TO ME. I qualified for the grants as I am retired in a very cold home with no gas running up our street. My home was clad internally at the front as I wanted to keep my victorian brick facade. And externally side and back. It exceeds my expectations, everything neat and tidy. The teams cleared up after themselves. All the service fittings carefully replaced to accommodate the extra thickness.. My home is noticeably warmer even after the first snow.. Just the heat pump/ radiator team to come... I can't wait.
Everyone helpful and courteous. I would recommend going for these grants if you can.. Or they will be lost!

I was referred to Jake Barlow at RMS Energy Solutions by Grants For Home Improvements (gh4i). I had qualified for a grant, and Jake was sent to do a survey.

In MARCH he turned up, and because the property may need planning permission, he did not do the survey. He promised to help me with whatever was needed to do the application.

Despite providing Jake with the diagram requirements, I received no response, resulting in an incomplete application that cost me hundreds of pounds. I informed Jake of this, but no action was taken.

After following up, after a number of WEEKS of silence, Jake finally informed me they couldn’t proceed due to scaffolding access issues on my road. Apparently this had been decided weeks previously, but they hadn't told me. He had also told GH4i that the case was closed, so they assumed I wasn't going forward.

However, after consulting local councillors, I provided Jake with clear photographic proof that scaffolding across the road is a valid and commonly used solution here in the village. Jake acknowledged this and said he would pass it on to his team. That was July.

I complained to Gh4i in September. Jake was included in the email correspondence. He has not contacted me.

It's now NOVEMBER and I've got nowhere.

If you use RMS, please just make sure Jake is not your surveyor. He just doesn't give a toss about you.

Waste of space. Cancelled my install halfway through the day they were meant to turn up. A year later I have a still not had remedial works done. After a failed inspection. Still no EPC

Central heating fully installed and fully funded !
Excellent customer service from the office and excellent service from the guys installing ..
Very quick and efficient service.property was also left at high standard after the heating had been installed.

Well thought we may had been able to put this to bed. But sadly not. New rad was supposed be be fitted today but canceled it now got to wait another 4 days
76 year old and the radiator at the side of her is not on as they made it leak from day one it was put in now not on at all and the amount of time it’s cost me is far to much

I’ve just had work done by RMS Energy and have nothing but praise for them. The kind and approachable office staff kept me informed with the progress of my application and the planned schedule of work. Their teams were hardworking. friendly and efficient, always let me know what they were doing, and were good to have around. Particularly with insulation and electrical work, there’s inevitably upheaval, but any mess was kept to an absolute minimum. Special thanks to Giovanni and his team for their thoughtfulness in making it possible for me to sleep in my bed by improvising with shower rail and curtain when the previous arrangement no longer fitted with the new insulation. I really appreciated Gerome and all his people for their good care and attention, and especially his invaluable help with switching energy supplier to make the most of the solar panels and new storage heaters. Top marks to all concerned and thank you, RMS Energy, for a job well done.

4.5 stars really but unable to give that.

Received flyer through post and called that day as we had old and expensive storage heaters throughout the house. Called the area manager, who was really helpful and, once they had confirmed eligibility, the work got started.

- Initial surveys were made, checking insulation status, gas mains access, boiler installation, pre-air testing, etc. All very professional, kind and courteous employees.
- Insulation installers were efficient, tidy and hard working. The finish was of a very high standard.
- Central heating installation was conducted in a highly impressive and effective manner. Consulted throughout the working days and were a great group of lads. Work was professional and finished to a high standard.
- Electrics/fan installation was completed to a high standard. There were minor issues with where they had placed the fan switches but this was rectified the next working day.
- Roof insulation was thorough and carefully completed to a very high standard. The lads were hard working and very pleasant to interact with.

Overall, I cannot fault the tradesman, who were all pleasant to talk with (I can go on a bit) and cared about their work being of a high standard.

What stops this being a 5 star review is the poor experience liaising with the office. The admin staff failed on commitments such as providing up to date work schedules, as well as them not being realistic schedules. Communication was not forthcoming which left uncertainty amongst the workers and the customers. A project management system would be well worth implementing to centralise the information for all to access.

That being said, it has been well worth the application and I am in all happy and satisfied with my experience.

RMS came to our house to carry out a number of different jobs, all of those that I dealt with in person and on the phone were amazing! They were incredibly professional and friendly and did an outstanding job, cannot recommend them highly enough.

I want to rate the work excellent. From start to finish, first the guys came to erected internal wall insulation, they worked tirelessly from start to finish which was fantastic. Second the guys came to fix the boiler and radiators, they were tremendous bunch of guys and they worked hard and continued until all work was completed. Then the electrician came to fit fans and make sure everything was working fine, last but not least an air test gentleman came today to test the air flow. I would like to say a massive thank you for all the team for making thing’s possible and making one old lady very happy. Thank you

Excellent company. Great to have someone like Shaun to help and explain everything to us.
Workmen were great ,tidy and fast.Didn’t mind having 5dogs helping either!!

From the initial phone call to completion of work was less than 10 days! The roofing guys arrived first (Gareth and Ryan) they did a fantastic job of replacing and insulating my flat roof and installing various vents. Next Shaun and his team came in to fit a whole central heating system (They did it in 1 day!). Throughout the guys were courteous and professional, the workmanship is fantastic! I'd highly recommend RMS to anyone!

Plastering your van with your name and getting donuts to drive on mway not good advertisement, would never use.

We are currently living with my father in law and were able to help get solar panels, an air source heat pump and new radiators throughout his home.

RMS were so helpful from the beginning to the end of the process and were available in person and via telephone to help address any issues or concerns we had and answer all our questions.

We have also had to ask for help since having the items installed and the response time in getting back to us was so fast.

The team who also install the equipment were super quick, tidy and professional.

Would strongly recommend this service.

Perfect from start to finish

I supported my parents to get a boiler replacement and all I can say is that RMS were amazing. They supported my parents and went the extra mile even though they didn’t have English as their first language. Whenever I needed to talk to staff they were so supportive. Shaun was amazing and gave me a step by step guide to what I needed to do. We don’t always realise how hard people work but all I have for this company is praise.

Just had a new boiler fitted by RMS. The fitters arrived on time and worked the whole time they were here. Very efficient, they worked as a team. They took all the scrap away and tidied up after them. Very pleased with their work and would certainly recommend them. Well done!

We originally received a letter in the post offering more efficient energy sources. I was dubious because of all the companies advertising, like who was a scam who isn't. This company certainly are not a scam. from initial contact with Shaun who helped us with the application, Thomas the surveyor was very thorough. All the contractors that came to our house were excellent. answered all our questions. they were immaculate clearing up as they went along. They did not inconvenience us in any way. Explained how everything was going to work. We definitely can not fault RMS Energy Solutions Ltd. We had a heat pump fitted, new rads, new hot and cold water tanks and 9 solar panels. I'm so glad I responded to the letter. It doesn't cost anything to see if you qualify, very trustworthy company. I would recommend anyone thinking of having this type of work done to contact them. Thanks for everything guys.

First things first, if you’ve received a letter from RMS energy, it is not a scam! Do not put off calling them like I did…my house would have been up to standard and warmer a lot sooner! Shaun was so helpful and explained everything to both myself and my landlord. The work was done within a couple of weeks from the initial survey, and done over two days. The guys that came and did the work were great, so friendly and tidy 😊 I have already seen a difference on my smart meter since having solar panels and new heating installed.

Lovely people - both workmen and bosses.
Honest trustworthy and efficient - kept me informed at all stages of the application and process. Very smooth and efficient communication also .
