Been waiting for months on order, customer service is poor and unpersonal
Placed and order over €1000 and I have been waiting over 3 months for it to ship. Every time I ask for an update they will tell me the same thing, delays from the manufacturer and expect shipping update in 2-2,5 weeks. This has been going on for months now. There is no personal answer and quality customer service!!
Love the pieces but this is UNACCEPTABLE. Really difficult to love the brand if they operate and communicate in this way.
PLEASE BE AWARE WHAT YOU GET YOURSELF INTO. You could be waiting months for your pieces and be left with a poor customer service.
Do not buy from Rue Porter Scammers
No word of a lie Rue Porter is the biggest scam. Expect 3+ months before you receive your order and when you try to contact customer service to follow up with your order expect 2 week replies to each of your emails with bs reasons. I've never written a review ever and I'm not doing this because of just one bad experience with them, it's been 4 separate orders. Nothings changed. They need to be exposed. If you read this and continue to make the decision to buy from them, I urge you to share your negative experience after so that more people are aware.

In each email they promise an update within two weeks, then two weeks later still no update. Not convinced they are even selling anything anymore, just taking peoples money and giving nothing in return but bullsh1t emails and reasons for delay. Their clothes are too expensive for customer service this bad, I don’t know how what they’re doing isn’t a crime. DO NOT BUY

DO NOT ORDER RUE PORTER! I have been waiting close to two months for an order and their customer service has 0% transparency on what is going on. They will play games throughout the process through email contact and you will get zero details on what’s really happening. Great quality garment company turning into a scam for way-out-of-shipping time pre-order deliveries(not stated on the site as per-orders by the way). Just a hot garbage company with no communication whatsoever.
Definitely not duty free in Europe!
Decided to order from Rue Porter since they advertise with 'made in Portugal' and 'duty-free shipping within Europe' on their home page, only to pay €120 on import taxes on top of an already whopping €65 for shipping (total order was worth €230). All because Rue Porter decided (for their 'logistical reasons') to not ship from Europe anymore. Customer service doesn't reply to my request for a refund of the import taxes. They don't respond on social media either. It's impossible for me to sell these items with a profit (I've lost money on them) and for a small business owner, that's disastrous. I'm assembling a group of people based in Europe with the same issue so together we might be able to take legal action. Contact me via 'merelkosters' on Instagram.
DO NOT use Rue Porter
The past two times I have ordered with these guys my order has been delayed for months. They seem to always have a "stocking issue" and the items I order are always "out of stock".. the worst part is they don't tell you they are out of stock unless you ask.
So the second time I ordered shirts from them, it had been over a month since I purchased the shirts & I was getting no updates on when my items were shipping ($2,000 order). So I asked to cancel because I was getting no update from them.. They "cancelled" my order and told me to wait 10 business days to receive the refund in my bank account.
Long story short, 2 weeks goes by and I hadn't received any form of refund. I emailed them asking for an update but no reply. 1 month later, I am emailing them 4+ times a week and I am still getting no replies. I'm even emailing them on both my business account and my personal to try and get a reply.
I have been forced to call my bank and issue a dispute against Rue Porter for my $2,000 owing to me.. the bank has told me it could take up to 30 days. As I am writing this review I still have not received my refund.
Between waiting on Rue Porter and the bank it will have taken me 2 months to get my money back for a product I NEVER RECEIVED.
Do yourself a favour and don't use this company. You will never get your items on time and if you are looking to get a reimbursement, good luck. It's not going to be easy with these guys.
Never have I ever dealt with a business so unprofessional and unresponsive. I wish I could do more than just dispute it with my bank.
I hope this shines some light on small businesses who are considering Rue Porter. Just don't.
You won't get anything
Just awful. Bought a load of things for an anniversary gift. Not only were they not cheap, but they never sent them even after a month. Had to receive a refund and it took forever. Don't even know why the storefront is still up. Do not bother.
No Business Address + Poor Customer Service = Bad Business.
I wish we would have known about Rue Porter's poor customer service before ordering product from them. All the video reviews we saw were about the quality of the product, which were always positive. So we placed an order and 3 tshirts were missing from the delivery. And because there is ONLY email as a possibility to communicate with them, it is next to impossible to get proper remedy to problems. In addition, we signed up with a European address, however, wanted them to deliver the shirts to a U.S. address because the printer was at the U.S. So from L.A. to Florida, it took them 6 weeks to deliver the product, and as I mentioned with 3 tshirts missing from the order. And all how we tried, as well as the printer from the U.S. tried, we never received the 3 tshirts, nor a reimbursement.
Rue Porter also changed our initial European address, to the address at the U.S. What is the big deal you may ask?? Our company is at Europe and this qualified us for the Rue Porter Studio printing service that they offer. However by them changing the address, our Rue Porter Studio account was closed and we could not use it. When we emailed them about the problem, their response was that "we had signed up with the U.S. account."??? Even when we sent them screenshots of our official business imprint page with the European address, they STILL said we signed up with the U.S. account. So we are no intelligent enough to know what account we signed up under??
No product is worth this type of VERY POOR customer service, especially when you are running a business. And this must be one of the reasons they provide no business phone numbers for direct contact. Not even a business address. Go to their webpage and even in their "Order & Return Policy section, they mention returns, but provide no business address to return the item to. In their Contact section ... also, no business address. Shipping Information ... also, no business address.
No product is worth this poor customer service problems.
120€ costum tax and only half the order shipped
So inbefore i will admit their products are of very good quality and
are definitely worth their price. I recently decided to purchase some items from their website and after waiting 3 weeks after paying i didnt get a message about shipment. Then i got informed that they are having problem with stock and they will sent my order out when the stock arrives. Out of nowhere they decided to send the order a few days after that message but to my surprise it included only half the items. Best thing at last, i had to pay 120€ in costum tax for 6 tshirts that i bought. Would not recommend if you live anywhere but the US.
Rue Porter is Unreliable!
I started ordering from the Porter about 2 years ago initially it was quite quick but as of the last year the company has become an absolute joke on so many different levels. It takes 3 months to recieve orders and on top of that they are incorrect. Secondly I’ve been waiting on a refund that was supposed to take 3-5 days for 1month with absolutely nobody from the team responding to my emails.
I wouldn’t use this company if you are starting a clothing brand because it could make you lose momentum and really mess up your cash flow if you’re starting out. Look for a more reliable company.
I ordered two items on December 2
I ordered two items on December 2, 2021, both on sale. The first item got “back ordered” multiple times but finally arrived around 3 months later. The other item, a brown hoodie, kept getting delayed. At first they cited Covid, then when it didn’t arrive in the time frame, they cited supply chain issues, then again and again. It was June 28th when THEY decided to give up and be generous enough to offer me a refund. Give me a break. They sell items they don’t even have in stock and play the waiting game and in my case it didn’t work out. Stay away.
3 month shipping and 80€ duties to pay
First, I ordered in April 2022. In July 2022 order is at the duty.
Second, I have to pay 300€ instead of 208€ now. Because shipping is from US and not EU anymore. I'm located in the EU btw.
I will never ever order again at Rue Porter.
I wish it was awesome. But its not.
I am yet another victim of the terrible delays in fulfillment from Rue Porter. I had made a wholesale order 1 month ago and waited the advertised extended shipping times ( up to 20 days ). This was before the current 'summer sale'.
In contacting support, I have been given the run-around with "your order is in the cue and will be shipped in 1.5 weeks". Then 1.5 weeks pass and they tell me again that it will be another 1.5 weeks as some of the items I had ordered had gone out of stock while It was processing!
What company sells items to you then only to tell you those items have gone out of stock 1 month later?????? Besides this making NO SENSE, the fact that I had to make a request for this information is terrible and massively inconvenient for the purpose of planning and production for my business.
So far it has been an awful experience and is definitely not something you can rely on for consistency of any kind.
So now in seeing these other reviews ( wishing I had read them before ordering ) I have no faith that they will honor refunds or potentially even my order.
Also when I originally went to pay for my order, my bank had blocked the transaction automatically flagging it as fraud. So clearly other people ( In Australia at least ) had already filed disputes with them in the past causing the red flag.
What more can I say, this sucks.
An Awful shame
Obviously, the global pandemic has affected this company in a significant way - pre-pandemic they were very on point and they have the best quality blanks in the market. However this is absolutely no excuse for the obvious unprofessional way they are handling these issues of no stock, no fulfillment, and no refunds being processed. I made an order of over $8000 worth of items in Jan 2022 and after non-receipt, for over 4 months I canceled my order and was told that a refund would be applied within 2-3 business days. It's now June 2022, and after 10 emails to support I have not had any response or correspondence from them which is awful. I have now been in contact with my credit card company and have filed a dispute which I have been told could take 120 days to resolve. it has now affected my business credit and also my brand.
