My mom bought a satellite phone and being elderly had a difficult time learning how to use it. She became extremely frustrated and almost wanted to send it back. Thankfully, we reached out to the customer service team at SatellitePhoneStore and were connected with Brandon May. He was the MOST HELPFUL rep I've worked with in a very long time from ANY company I've dealt with of late. He was very calm and patient with mom, (and me as well), and he guided her through steps to troubleshoot. When that didn't work, he happily received the phone back in the mail for only cost of shipping, had a look, fixed the problem and shipped it back quickly. It fully works and mom is happy once again. I wish more customer service staff had the temperament, kindness and professionalism as Brandon May. He does such an amazing job! Thank you so much, Brandon!!!

I own a small generator / solar company…
I own a small generator / solar company and was in need of a couple of Ecoflow generator adaptors. I had already ordered some from other companies and weeks later I was told they were out of stock. So I began to call everyone on the internet and came across Satellite Phone Store and seen they had these adaptors in stock. I called to verify that they were in stock and spoke with Bruce or a Brian and he said he walked into the warehouse and confirmed there were in fact 3 of them. Soon as he said they were there, I hit the order button and ordered 2 of them while I was on the phone with him . This was 6-19 and today being 6-24 I called the company and spoke with Zoraida (spelling) and when I asked her about the status of my order because I still hadn’t received a tracking number she said they were out of stock and wouldn’t be in until tomorrow. I asked her to cancel my order and explained I was lied to and was going to write a negative reviews and she began to tell me that wasn’t right and. Blah blah blah. I asked for an email confirmation that she canceled it and said she waouks send it over. 4 hours or so pass and still no email confirming a cancellatio, so I call back in and spoke with Crystal and after I explained the prior call today she went on her computer while we were talking and canceled the order that I was told was canceled or would be 4 hours ago. Thank you Crystal, because of you I gave the company 1 star, otherwise it would have been zero.
If you want to be lied to, use this company. If you don’t want to be lied to USE SOMEONE ELSE ! Ridiculous that people in companies lie just to get a sale … and then lie to try and cover up for someone else. This is my experience with this company

I bought this phone for cruises to be able to conduct business. Horrible service when you can get it. Tried all parts of the ship, bow, stern, port, starboard. Two bars at the bow, and there where no obstructions. Waste of money.
Be careful trying to suspend service
Be careful trying to suspend service. I contacted them to suspend my month to month contract. They acknowledged the call log and request, but continued to bill me saying I didn't comply with their policy to suspend service. This desperation to continue billing is usually the sign of a company in financial difficulty. Find another company for your Sat phone service.
Hello? Anybody there?
Previously a happy customer but spent 2 weeks trying to contact them through their website, telephone and by email to ask them to ship to UK. Never replied but they started sending spam. No help. If you dont want to ship internationally just say so and save everyone the bother.
Got overcharged for a sat phone rental
Got overcharged for a sat phone rental. Turns out shipping time is not included. This is after I paid for a shipping label from them. Customer service was nice, but didn't do much. Won't do business with again. Would not recommend.
We only needed cell service for one week…
We needed cell service for one week for a hunting trip. I explained this to the sales person but somehow we ended up with a 12 month commitment.
With the early termination fee I paid over $400 for a service that didn't even work.
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere
Overcharged, Promised to be Corrected, Never was
"These guys are crooks and liars"...unfortunately, I cannot say that about all transactions. But as for me? Well, I signed on 3 years ago, and without using any minutes accumulated air time which was to be a credit going forward when and if I actually used the Satellite Phone purchased from this company. They then charged me in September 2022 for the use of the phone for the first time, and when I called to report the issue, they claimed that they would correct it with the next bill on November 2. Did they correct it? Right. Here I am reporting that I had to call the credit card company to dispute the charge and have a credit issued. It's a shame that I needed to do that, when a credit was promised.
Considering all of the negative reviews here, the issue for resolution: is there something rotten in the state of Satellite Phone Store?

These guys are crooks and liars. If you give them a credit card number you will be sorry. They just plain refuse to shut off service after equipment is returned. You have to cancel your card.

However, once the contract is up after allotted amount of time, your ROLL OVER MINUTES WILL NOT CONTINUE UNLESS YOU CONTINUE THE MONTHLY SERVICE OR PLACE YOUR PHONE ON STANDBY at about $20 per month which is significantly less. BEWARE!!!!!

I was looking at buying 3 phones to be used as emergency phones and wanting a pre paid service so they could be used in Japan. I had some questions and clicked Live Chat and got some arrogant Jerk named Sean who was not even a little bit interested in selling life saving equipment to someone who was about to spend roughly $6000 with them. He tried to tell me the phon i was looking at only had 1 plan option yet on the website gave dozens of options. It was very easy to see he did not care 1 bit. His reason for giving such poor service when asked was "Because no one else has the phones" He also made comments like "I don't have..." Rather than "We don't have..." So I have serious doubts on how this company works. I will be researching other options and suggest people to be very wary of these guys as something is not right.
Fraudulent, Unauthorized Credit Card Charge
I ordered a SpotX satellite phone and returned it for a better phone (Inmarsat). I returned the SpotX and thought everything was settled and fine. Some 135 days later I received an unauthorized charge on my credit card because they said they had not received the phone that I returned. I kept the USPS tracking number and talked with the post office and they said the tracking numbers are not good for more than 60 days. I tried to resolve this with many phone calls and they would not reverse the charge. The phone I returned was originally priced at $249.99, yet the charge against my credit card was $425.70. These people are not honest and an unauthorized charge on my credit card is fraud. Stay away from this company!!

They tricked me into buying a device from them claiming it has an extra accessory never included in the package. Then sent me the dated device instead of new one and refused to send me warranty certificate despite my multiple requests.
Refused to cancel the order as well despite I have complete proof of cheating by their sales team.
Also they advertise false BGAN Flex pricing tiers for years. I thought it was a mistake a few years ago when started renting with them (never again after the fraud mentioned above!) and asked them to correct it on the website. They «agreed» by never corrected it.
Dishonest, incompetent, and poor customer service
We rented from Satellite Phone Store. They sent the phone with written instructions which turned out to be WRONG. Customer service said they had recently changed providers. I received voice mail notifications for messages left from the renter before us! You are supposed to be able to receive text messages free (you have to pay to send them), but after one week no text messages came through. Customer service could not fix this over the phone, even though he went through all the set up screens. I returned the phone as planned after two weeks and asked for a credit. They agreed at first, but then changed their tune and said I changed the settings on the phone! I changed nothing, except when on the phone with customer service, and even then I don't think he had me change any settings - he just went through the screens to make sure they were correct. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and received a $39 credit, but it should have been closer to $100 for one weeks rental and prepaid minutes. They said they would credit all the calls to customer service (3) and the calls to attempt to set up and retrieve voicemail, because I had the WRONG INSTRUCTIONS for setting up voicemail so it never worked! This company is incompetent and I suspect financially strapped, so they change carriers frequently to keep their costs low. Outdated instructions, poor customer service, dishonest people. Go somewhere else.
This was with the Miami store
This was with the Miami store, purchased an iridium go after the salesman assured me the poor reviews were from old outdated models. Once purchased with the super sim, so I would have a local number to avoid expensive phone charges. The unit was never able to received calls or texts from any number with an area code beginning with 9 or 3. Support spent days trying and I was told iridium would contact me within 24 hours. Which they never did. The day I am due to leave for a transatlantic crossing I tried to return the unit since it was not doing what I paid for, this was after 5 days of working with them to get it operating, the told me to use another SIM card for no extra charge. Well this resulted in an extra $275 charges to my cell phone bill for calls billed at $15 per minute. The phone service was horrible, we were charged for many calls that never went through. Sat phone store does not stand behind their products.
Very bad experience.
Very bad experience. Needed a sat data device for a two week trip. I turn it on to test, followed their limited instructions to turn off background data on my phone, and somehow, even though I didn't visit any sites other than their usage site, I use up all my data within minutes. Data that I was told should have lasted me a week. I get a call the next day asking to buy more data. Seems like a scam. I send it back the next day and now they want to charge me for a weeks rental and the data. I would recommend avoiding this company.
