when I chose to purchase more life insurance coverage on June 15,2026 and I was given all the information through advertisements sent to my home explaining the extra coverage that was provided to me and the extra cost. To apply for this coverage was easy and quick. It was a very pleasurable experience.

SBLI Insurance Agent Jeffrey Taylor Scam/Fraud
On June 8, 2026 SBLI Insurance Agent Jeffrey Taylor authorized an automatic premium withdrawal from my Bank account without my approval. I never authorized the withdrawal. I was never given an insurance policy. I did not receive an insurance policy to review. I never signed an insurance policy. On June 4, 2026, SBLI Insurance Agent Jeffrey Taylor called to tell me that a $300,000/10 yr term life insurance policy I applied for was approved by SBLI Underwriters. SBLI Insurance Agent Jeffrey Taylor lied to me. I was only approved for $250,000/ten yr term.
SBLI Insurance Agent Jeffrey Taylor told me I had a 10 day window to accept the Policy. SBLI Insurance Agent Jeffrey Taylor took it upon himself to approve the policy for me and submit the automatic withdrawal from my bank. He never gave me the 10 day window to accept the policy. I will seek Legal action against the SBLI Insurance Company and Insurance Agent Jeffrey Taylor.
----To the AMERICAN PUBLIC: BEWARE of the SBLI Insurance Company and its Insurance Agents. DO NOT give them your SS #, Bank Routing # and Bank account #. I never thought SBLI was capable of doing this to anyone. I had complete faith/trust in them. SBLI Insurance Agent Jeffrey Taylor needs to be investigated and fired.

Fast, thorough and uncomplicated…
Quick and easy application taken over the phone. Although I needed a medical examination, it was done very quickly and very professionally. I had a complicated orthopaedic medical history which entailed review by underwriters, however I was still issued a preferred plus rating from SB LI and I’m very pleased with the rate.

Generally OK to deal with
Generally OK to deal with, however I tried to login today to pay my premium and the customer login portal presented a "Page Unavailable" message. I chatted with support, and sure enough, they're aware of it and "working on it". I asked if their customers would be notified when the problem was resolved and was told definitively that we would not be. Essentially, "try again later" and "it should be back up tomorrow". Why is it so hard to notify your customers of a service outage or its restoration?

Great prices, good service. But the underwriting process is aggravating probably like all their competitors. (Why is the insurance industry not reforming like all other industries?)
