They took the time to understand our challenges.
Once we decided to proceed, the implementation phase was handled well. They guided us through the entire process, ensuring a smooth move from our old system.
The training provided by Alan was excellent.

I give Rani 5 stars and the 4 is for the Sense System now that its improved.
We had some initial issues when we changed to Sense, and started to question our decision, having concerns on the sophistication of the system and its service.
However, since two months ago, we've been introduced to Rani who has completely turned this around for the company. She is their secret weapon! She is reactive, communicative, and pushes for her clients needs. She gets us answers, issues resolved quickly, and takes on board every enhancement that we suggest!
In a world where you feel customer service isn't what it used to be, faith is restored again when you experience face to face video calls, and reactive emails. Even if Rani can't find the answers, she always communicates to us. This is important as it helps to build trust.
Once again - BIG shout out to Rani and thank you for all you do. Its noticed, appreciated and it makes a HUGE difference!

After raising issues with both the toil not working, and being unable to change the holiday allowance per employee, it took two of us within the company, and over two weeks to find that advisors were contradicting each other, and the problems were still not being solved.
When I then asked to cancel due to having no trust in the system, the cancellation was confirmed but not passed along. I was contacted by our Manager a week later to find out if she could help with anything, but we had already made the decision to cancel, and she had not been made aware, nor the finance department who charged us an extra month. They are now saying that we can use the system for an extra month rather than refunding us the money.
All in all, it has unfortunately been a shocking experience that has caused us a lot of extra work.
After the reply from Sense. We did start to use the system before, but did not fully work on it until the 14th of the month as I had other work on. That's when our main focus became the system. It was one week from the 14th until I realised we had no trust in the system. All we wanted was two simple issues sorted out, but this was still not done after numerous conversations back and forth with SenseHR every day, from myself and my colleague. Moving our entire system over to this system was not a possibility given we could not even get the holiday allowance for each employee to be correct.
Then the Account Manager did not contact us until 5 days after I asked to cancel, and even then they were not aware of the cancellation.
If I have no trust in the simple issues being solved, as a company, how are we meant to trust this company with any further issues when we are live and have no back up programme?

Four months ago, I shared a review expressing disappointment with our initial experience of the Sense HR system. At the time, we encountered some challenges that left us questioning our decision to sign up.
Since then, I am very pleased to say that the support team has been absolutely outstanding. They took our concerns seriously, worked closely with us to resolve every issue, and have gone above and beyond to ensure the system is running smoothly for our team. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and commitment to getting things right has completely turned our experience around.
The system itself is now proving to be an excellent fit for our needs it's intuitive, reliable, and making a real difference to how we manage HR processes. Mistakes happen with any new implementation, but the way a company handles those challenges says everything about them. In this case, the team has been fabulous, and I am genuinely glad we stayed the course.

Unlike many other HR/clocking in systems, this one doesn't come with a trial. We therefore signed up on a monthly basis so we could trial the service and cancel if needed. After signing up and paying, it took a few days (and chasing emails) to obtain our login details.
I was informed that I can't easily see where an employee clocked in from when using the app (you can only see manual long/lat coordinates). I'm unsure why it logs an employee's location if it isn't easy for an admin to check the location. It makes the location logging redundant. Also, the system can't automatically inform you if the employee is clocking in from outside a pre-designated work location (geofence) as there isn't a tool for this, again making location logging pointless in our opinion.
We paid for the 'Professional' tier; however, we found that access was not automatically granted to everything we had paid for (everything you see on the pricing page of their website). We requested access for everything; however, after requesting further info on 'Access Role Management', we were informed that we would need to attend a 90-minute training session before the feature could be deployed. Training of which is live (online) and therefore not instantly accessible. I personally wouldn't tell a customer they can't have access to something they're paying for. This may be to minimise future support requests, however, it may not sit right with many customers. There was no mention of giving access to everything else that was unavailable, even though I had specifically requested this.
If a system needs this level/length of training for every area, then maybe the system needs to be made more user-friendly and intuitive? Please note however that I picked up the system (that I was allowed to have access to) quite easily. Maybe put more faith in your customers abilities?
TOIL appears to be kept separate from holiday allowance and must be booked separately, even though it effectively becomes part of an employee's overall holiday entitlement. I'm unsure if all providers do this or just Sense.
I was initially impressed by what was being sold to me on their site, however, after delving deeper, it doesn't deliver as well as I first thought. This may not be unique to Sense, as I've now trialled around four different companies. If all of them joined forces, they would have the ultimate system which covers all needs, as all have some good features, but all are lacking in other areas.
One thing I can't fault them on is their support response time and their AI support.

I'm Kat, the HR Administrator at Sense, and we've been using Sense internally to manage our people since its launch in September 2023.
This review is specifically about the AMI Payslip Uploader tool, which has been an absolute game-changer for me. Uploading payslips used to be one of my least favourite tasks - The pressure to ensure accuracy is huge, and manual distribution was both time-consuming and prone to human error.
With the AMI Payslip Loader, that stress is gone. I can now upload a single PDF containing all payslips with just one click. The tool automatically matches employee details, and I can verify everything before finalising the upload. It’s efficient, accurate, and most importantly, it gives me complete peace of mind.
This feature has saved me a significant amount of time and removed a big admin stress in my role, I can’t recommend it enough.

Having worked with a number of HR systems over the years I have been pleasantly surprised at both the functionality and combined value with Sense HR.
We moved over to Sense circa 6 months ago and with over 300 employees many of whom are on the front-line and relying solely on the app for recording their events including leave and daily overtime, we thought we would have a challenge on our hands but I can honestly say that the transition has been very positive and our teams have fully embraced this system. We've gone from recording absence and overtime manually to now automating everything and seamlessly integrating this into our payroll processes.
The personal touch and willingness to help us with any technical queries or challenges has been fantastic, Rani Johnson and the wider team have been excellent. I think this is what sets Sense apart from some of the other competitors out there where you feel like just a number and the system is the system without scope for change. The team at Sense are so willing to help and make system development tweaks to fit our business where they can. They listen to ideas and see this as opportunity to improve their system which is a breath of fresh air.
Functionality wise we were so impressed with the HR offering which gives us exactly what we need to capture important employee data but to automate our services and the 'pick n mix' self build reports are a breeze to work with and just so helpful at the touch of a button whenever you need them. The app and the desktop are very user friendly for navigation.
I would thoroughly recommend Sense HR for your business.

I cannot recommend Sense HR enough, the system is so easy to use. As with all projects there were some problems but Rani Johnson not only sorted them but did it whilst giving me confidence it was all going to be ok and she was right, it was. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a change in project management during the process of implementation which shook my confidence and Rani swooped in and fixed everything. She was an absolute pleasure to work, I enjoyed every call with her and she was as efficient as a military commander! The Sense system is revolutionary for us, it is so easy to use, intuative and as a company they are making improvement all the time. We’re part way through our SenseHR implementation and have just gone live with 1,100+ employees at our first international location. The rollout has gone well, and we’re now preparing to introduce it at two more sites, that have slightly different requirements.
We were initially nervous about uploading and testing our data, but once we understood what was needed, the process was actually pretty easy and straightforward.
Abbi and Adam were fantastic – they really took time to understand our needs and challenged us when it helped get to a better outcome. The training was particularly effective, as it was tailored not only to our processes but also to the needs of different user groups, rather than being a one-size-fits-all approach. The product itself has made a big difference already, improving communication and digitising several admin-heavy HR tasks with the workflow tool.
Since going live, Martin and the support team have been incredibly responsive and helpful.
We did face a few challenges with some of our bespoke requirements, the back and forth on issues and additional time needed for testing led to relatively minor delays. That said, this was generally well managed and somewhat expected given the niche nature of our requirements – and we’re confident the issues have now been addressed. Providing we don't see these issues again for our next locations, we'll be happy to change this to 5/5 review

We are a very new small accountancy firm who desperately needed cloud hr software to help us organise our internal procedures. I had no prior experience with anything like sensehr however I was paired with Jordan who made our entire set up an absolute breeze. He personally helped me with every little question. We had quite a few changes to make due to the mix of our staff being remote and office based. He never made me feel silly or stupid, he treated me with respect no matter how silly I felt the question was. Jordan even allowed me to have a couple of extra meetings which were just brilliant when I had questions from my other colleagues that really needed answering. He helped me set up screens for overtime, organise payroll reports, and much more. I am so grateful to Jordan and all of his help because without him I'd have given up weeks ago!
