Great product with timely delivery
Great product with timely delivery. I was a little disappointed about the rake on my 2013 Tacoma because it was supposed to still sit with level but the new coil overs dropped the front 1/2". I can live with it because it's too much work to take them out and adjust the lock ring

Let me start by saying the Bilstein 6112 Struts are very nice. The ride quality has improved tremendously since the install on my Tundra.
The customer support was a challenge. I ordered the strut and spring assembled with rear 5100 shocks. I was not aware the rear shock are back ordered. I think it should let you know when you have them in your cart or at checkout that this item is on back order. I did not know until I contacted shock surplus on week 3 inquiring why I have not received my order. It is extremely frustrating not to be able to talk to customer service on the phone. The back and forth on the chat box is definitely not the most efficient way to resolve issues. Especially when they my not reply until the following business day through email. Someone from customer service called me finally and told me my strut assembly would go out in a couple of days and I would receive a tracking number. I received a tracking number for another persons order. Again back to communication through email and the chat box. Another week goes by and I receive another email with a tracking order for my struts. It took a month to receive the struts that were in stock. I still do not have an ETA on when the shocks will ship.
Hope the customer service gets better, and I receive my rear shocks soon

The assembled Bilstein 6112s you ordered had an estimated three week lead time at the time of purchase, which was listed on our website. Once an order for pre-assembled components is placed, our team begins sourcing and preparing the parts as the order enters the production queue. Because many of the components we sell move quickly, inventory levels and availability can shift, and we do our best to manage backorders as efficiently as possible. While this does not change the frustration you experienced, we wanted to provide clarity on the timeline and process. Our agent has worked to keep you updated with the information we had available from the manufacturer and also offered to help you find comparable parts that were in stock and ready to ship. We appreciate your patience while we worked to provide the most accurate updates possible.

Outstanding service and product selection
I have ordered shocks from Shock Surplus for several years now. From my F250, to my 2000 Tundra, to the family Suburban, and recently to my 1500 GMC's. Shocks Surplus has always had the shocks for my trucks, best price, quick shipping and great customer service. No joke.....my last GMC is a 2026 and when I went searching for my shocks, 2026 wasn't in the drop down list. I called in, and the guys helped me find the right shocks. They even text me the direct links to make finding them extremely easy.
This is my place to get shocks for my truck, no questions. Recommend to anyone and all.

Ordered the Bilstein 6112s for my 2015…
Ordered the Bilstein 6112s for my 2015 F150 to replace/upgrade my worn out factory struts. Loving them so far! The ride is smoother and way less body roll in turns. Also had them setup for the 2 inch lift. Still need to do some off-roading but that will come soon. Quick shipping and easy ordering.

Great company and great service
Shock Surplus had what I wanted at a great price. Their after sale support has been super helpful as well. A shipping provider mishandled a portion of my order and Shock Surplus handled the entire claim process and got portion of my order replaced quickly and without any hassle.

Worst experience I've ever had with a company
Worst experience I've ever had with a company. First they forgot to input my order than second sent me the wrong shock size 3rd when trying to get in contact with them over email or phone in a timely matter its impossible to get simple answers on how to return the wrong shocks and get the right shocks coming or just to get a simple refund horrible customer service would not recommend ordering anything from shock surplus+this wasn't for one vehicle it was for a small fleet of work trucks very disappointing

Terrible!
Terrible!! By far worse experience of online shopping. Ordered one set of shock, was told they were delayed to end of following month. They advised me to purchase another brand, I did. Took 3 weeks to ship. I had to beg them. When ship, they sent me 4 rear shocks. Then was told Front one were 21 days backorder. Now was just told Fron one is backorder for another 2 months. Disaster, it is almost fraud the way they operate.

Replaced my old shocks with Monroe…
Replaced my old shocks with Monroe Magnums which were on my truck and says they're OE. I bought my truck with 98k on it and now has 220k and not sure if the ones I just replaced were the originals ones that came on it or not. Either way, I figured go with the same ones which were reasonably priced after comparing everything else that was much pricier and glad I did. The truck now sits up an 1-2" higher in front and the ride has been restored. The fit was exact to what was on there and the fronts came with the top mounting rubber grommets, washers and nut and all other hardware you just reuse (bolts/nuts) for bottom front shocks and rear shocks. Order was easy and shipment was fast, I believe 3 days or so to California. Would order from them again.

Resolved with Class
Well to start it wasn't so great, the shocks I got are awesome love Bilstein. The issue was I got my shocks and struts delivered and one of the strut boxes were damaged and missing the install kit or the coil springs. So I got a hold of Shock Surplus and told them the issue and they where completely understanding. I am very pleased to say they sent the correct parts and everything turned out great. I will be recommending them.

Bought Rancho quick lift struts from shock surplus ,for a 2013 F-150, terrible ride truck had more noises than an old western wagon contacted them and they said they might help me out with a refund but then clearly told me there was nothing they could do after spending over $500 not happy would not recommend buying anything off them. Their refund policy sucks.!

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with the ride quality after installing the Rancho QuickLift struts on your F-150. We understand how frustrating it can be when a suspension upgrade does not meet expectations.
We did attempt to submit a warranty claim on your behalf with Rancho. After reviewing the case, Rancho advised that their warranty only covers manufacturer defects or failed parts. They also confirmed that the QuickLift strut is designed as an off-road oriented shock and is expected to feel firmer compared to a factory-style replacement.
It’s also important to note that these shocks feature adjustable compression and dampening, with 9 position adjustability that allows the ride to be tuned from very soft to very firm. Proper adjustment can make a noticeable difference in ride comfort depending on driving style and overall vehicle setup.
Our return and refund policies follow manufacturer guidelines, especially once suspension components have been installed and driven on, which limits what we are able to offer in some cases. We understand that ride feel is subjective and can differ from expectations, and we truly regret that this setup did not meet what you were hoping for. Exactly What I Needed. Complete, Pre-Assembled Shock Kit
I had a great experience ordering suspension parts from Shocks Surplus. What stood out immediately was that Shocks Surplus was one of the only places offering a complete, pre-assembled kit. The KYB Strut-Plus front assemblies came fully assembled, and the KYB Excel-G rear shocks were included as a matched set. And they were designed as OEM-equivalent replacements.
Other retailers required buying individual components or assembling the spring system myself, which I wanted to avoid. Having everything pre-assembled saved time and removed a lot of guesswork.
Ordering was straightforward, the parts arrived as described, installation went smoothly, and my car has been restored to factory ride characteristics. Overall, it was a much easier process than I expected, and I’d definitely consider using Shocks Surplus again for future suspension work.
