The company, and in particular my lawyer Jenniffer Brunt were supportive, efficient and professional.
Jenniffer’s knowledge was second to none and her contact was really clear and timely. I was consistently kept up to date and guided through the mire of legal issues when feeling emotionally vulnerable.

Do your own home work to succeed
I received confirmation of fault of personal injury and gave insurance details to this company. They swapped my solicitor half way through my claim and the second solicitor Stephen wasn't as positive. I was assertive as they valued my claim to be £2-3k. I summed up all the issues in reference to my injuries and insisted these issues needed addressing. They came good eventually and I received £15k. I would suggest they increase communicate with the claimant and advise better to receive a positive outcome although this claim couldn't or shouldn't fail. My house insurance covered me through legal cover but they tried to get me to take their addition cover in case of failure which just showed either greedy or lack of confidence, which was of course not taken! Need to try harder as I feel I did most the work needed.
Received monies quickly thanks to Robyn Eaton ( senior recovery officer) 😁

trusted Slater and Gordon with my personal injury claim for nearly three years. At no point was I informed that they might refuse to represent me at the court stage. Yet at the final moment, they abruptly withdrew their services without adequate notice, leaving me completely unsupported.
This sudden withdrawal, after such a long relationship, caused great emotional and practical hardship. I had also previously raised a complaint about the management of my case, and I am concerned that this complaint may have influenced their decision to withdraw, which would be contrary to the standards required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
According to the SRA Code of Conduct, solicitors must uphold the proper administration of justice, act with integrity, and not allow personal feelings to interfere with client care. My experience raises serious concerns whether these standards were met.
I am sharing my experience truthfully to help future clients make informed decisions. Clients deserve better communication, transparency, and protection.

Shocking
Took over two years to deal with a straight forward rear end shunt where the other party admitted liability with 2 witnesses. Transferred part of our claim to carpenters group which is now outstanding for two and half years.
Then took nearly half the value of the claim in fees. Could never speak to the same handler, weeks waiting for responses to emails.
Probably one to avoid. Shameful

personal injury claim success After a serious car accident causing…
After a serious car accident causing head and neck injury that took nearly 15 months to heal in September 2019
I faced nearly a 6 year battle with my personal injury claim.
My original claim handlers changed to Slater & Gordon. Megan Whitaker Legal advisor at Slater and Gordon took over my case on 01/09/2024 and from that moment onwards things took a different direction.
I received exemplar customer service from the beginning and throughout the entire duration of the case.
Every effort was made to keep me updated with the progress of my claim.
The case finally went to court in April 2025.
This was a daunting and nerve racking experience but I was provided with constant support from Megan Whitaker and I was fortunately assigned a highly competent Barrister.
Needless to say I won my case and was awarded the full amount of my claim. I cannot thank Slater and Gordon enough and would recommend Megan Whitaker Legal Advisor to anybody seeking a personal claim never mind how hopeless the perceived chances of success are.

Good outcome, but it took a long time.
Initially my claim for damages, against a car driver who knocked me off my bicycle causing me serious injuries, dragged on frustratingly with my case being passed between a number of case handlers. I found it difficult to contact the handlers as phone messages and emails were rarely responded to. After about three years of this my case passed to the desk of Hannah Bretland and things immediately looked up. Hannah was proactive and communicative, responding to my messages promptly and keeping me very much 'in the loop' as to the progress of my case. For the first time I felt that my case was being regarded as important! Hannah's handling of my case resulted in a very acceptable outcome for me, and I'm most grateful to her for her excellent guidance and support throughout her time working on it. Five stars for Hannah, three for the company as a whole.

This case has now dragged on for nearly three years, and I’ve lost count of how many caseworkers I’ve been assigned. Unfortunately, each new one seems less competent than the last. Communication is abysmal—I rarely receive responses to my emails. I deeply regret choosing this company and wish I had gone elsewhere. At this rate, I worry this will never be resolved.
