Prompt replies but service representatives had difficulties in understanding the meaning of warranties
I bought a pair of glasses with a warranty, expecting peace of mind in case anything went wrong. Unfortunately, the frame turned out to be defective. That should have been a straightforward warranty replacement — but it wasn't.
The original frame was no longer in stock, so I was asked to choose another one. I chose a cheaper frame, though it wasn’t the only option available. Because the new frame had a different shape, I was told I would also need new lenses. That might be understandable — except the lenses with the same specifications as before now cost more.
In the end, I had to pay extra, even though I chose a cheaper frame and the issue wasn’t my fault to begin with. It completely defeats the purpose of having a warranty. What exactly does it cover, if not this?
The service representatives had difficulties to understand what was going on. I got a refund finally but the discussion was really lengthy. Not the best experience that I would expect as a returning customer.
