I only ordered a mattress yesterday and someone has spoken to me about it

This was our first visit to this store and we were very impressed. I am in a wheelchair and there is an outside ramp for easy access and then we were greeted by a smart and friendly man who held the door for us to get through for a look around. Smiths have thought of everything as there was also a ramp to the main sales floor. The staff were friendly and informative but they also gave us time to look around on our own, they weren’t overbearing at all. We wanted to look at a chair that I couldn’t get to in my wheelchair, so two gents (staff )brought it down for me to look at, again leaving us to decide if I liked it and to try it out. I ordered the chair and a matching settee too! The only downside is that I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for it, as it was from a new range so it couldn’t be taken from the sales floor but I think it will be worth the wait. All in all, this was a lovely buying experience and I would definitely recommend Smiths of Harrogate to anyone wanting good service at a reasonable price.

We received friendly, unstinting informed advice based on experience and excellent product knowledge and eventually were able to order our new suite. There was no pushy and irritating selling. All in all, excellent customer service.

Lovely showroom with two floors of high quality furniture. No pressure selling tactics here just a friendly relaxed atmosphere with time to make the correct selection. Thanks go to Paul for his time and knowledgable advice in helping select our new sofa’s
Highly recommend a visit

Excellent efficient service, helpful accurate advice and very speedy response to on line messages and questions re a replacement hand unit for recliner chair not even purchased in their establishment making sure we ordered the correct part within 12hours. Extremely professional. Wished we lived closer so we could do more business with them!

Via prior arrangement we descended on Smiths of Harrogate with our wheelchair bound son and mobile hoist to try out and assess the suitability of a Himolla rise/recline chair for him. The staff, and Christopher in particular in the Himolla department, couldn't have been more helpful.He was very knowledgable about the product and understanding and helpful regarding the issues of concern to us. We were there quite a few hours and the customer service was brilliant - a firm to be highly recommended.

What a Stunning Ercol showroom!
We travelled to Smiths specifically to shop for an Ercol extending dining table and chairs. It was well worth the travel. The Ercol showroom upstairs is out of this world! It's a modern, stylish, well- designed space which feels welcoming and warm. The ceilings are lower so you get a better sense of the furniture proportions in relation to a room in your home, compared to a vast showroom.
They have pieces of furniture on show in every colour of finish available, including the brand new green and blue wood stains. The wide selection of Ercol furniture on display is second to none and at very competitive prices. Andrea is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, we browsed at our own pace, but he was then at hand each time we wanted his help. Nothing was too much trouble.
We were able to try sitting on every style of dining chair and place them at the table we loved and decide which ones we preferred. We fell in love with the Fairmile large table and chairs in 'burnt umber' and happily purchased them on the spot. We were given the options of an immaculate ex-display set, or order a new one to be made. We needed a set quickly so chose the display model at a superb price. It was delivered today by their own fantastic delivery team (which we arranged easily over the phone with the delivery manager) The team assembled it, took all packaging and left the beautiful set in our dining room.
Whilst we were in store on the day of purchase we were able to look at other furniture items that are available in the same colour to compliment the dining set. We will definitely purchase again shortly.

Looking for the right bed mattress can be a real challenge but our visit to Smiths and meeting with their bed specialist, Frank Nickerson, was the best thing we did. Frank's knowledge was invaluable and with such a range of high quality brand mattresses to choose from his expertise and guidance was really helpful. Highly recommend Frank and Smiths of Harrogate.

Our experience with Smiths so far has been excellent. Living in Scotland makes us ‘distance buyers’ but despite this we could not have been treated better. Christopher has been helpful, responsive and easy to deal with. Whilst we are still at the start of our journey (we’ve just placed a furniture order), if the rest is as good then we will be delighted.

Made a 3h round trip to visit the showroom after visiting several competors near me and I'm sure glad I did. Christopher was friendly and helpful strait from the start. The variety in store available to try out is simply outstanding and the staff themselves are of another level.

What a find of a shop - excellent service from start to finish. Very pleased with the furniture i purchased - and delivery drivers were very efficient and professional. Would certainly recommend and I would use this firm again too. Full marks all round.

Absolutely superb customer service, from point of order, price to delivery day - the guys were exceptional, very polite helpful and courteous on one of the hottest days of the year travelling down to Essex! Having travelled 90 minutes to visit Smiths of Harrogate, I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent service I received in particular from Graeme who made ordering my new sofa and chairs so easy.

Very knowledgeable about all aspects of buying a new mattress

This company is absolutely fantastic - knowledgeable staff, friendly, get back to you super fast. We are around 200 miles away and haven't even been to the showroom but trust that this company will deliver on all ordered. Will definitely use and recommend Smiths of Harrogate to family and friends. It has been a seamless and most enjoyable experience so far. We have dealt with Andrea on the Venjakob sales side who has been superb and super responsive and pro-active.
