Bought a £7000 mattress here, turned out it's not quite right. Out of 3 month exchange window (due not being in country). Sticking to T&Cs is understandable, if not somewhat unsympathetic; what will prevent me from buying here again is the patronising attitude and emails.

A very extensive range of furniture on display. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. A handy locatiion.

Eighteen months ago we bought an Alisia sofa bed from Smiths. From delivery we have been delighted with both the product and the service we received. Free two man expert delivery is an apt description and is invaluable when you live in one of the many three storey houses in Harrogate!
Recently the sofa bed was moved and a fixing was inadvertently damaged. It took just one call to Smiths and within a few days two expert delivery men, familiar with the construction of the sofa bed, were on site with their tools and fixed it.
Now that’s what we call service. Thank you Team Smith!

Paul Irvin was very helpful in clarifying and helping me place my order for Ercol sofas. I was pleased to hear from Paul that Smiths of Harrogate stock the whole range of Ercol furniture which is very difficult to see in my area. I hope to visit the store in the near future. We have rarely had such a good, informative service when buying furniture. Christopher is a veritable expert and knows the products he is selling inside out. Although we had researched Himolla chairs, he informed us of options, of which we were unaware. As result, we have come away knowing that we have made the right choices. We're looking forward to seeing the chairs in our home.

Excellent choice of beds/mattress well worth the visit Frank was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable in all the products on display and assisting us with our choice of new mattress, the delivery team were very pleasant and polite and arrived promptly on the delivery day. The store has a great selection of furniture to choose from. It is easy to browse around all the furniture in the store.

The member of staff we dealt with for our purchases was Paul Irwin. He was knowledgeable, he listened to what we were looking for and provided great service.

We cannot recommend Smiths of Harrogate highly enough. Christopher spent a huge amount of time with us explaining the range of riser / recliner chairs in the showroom. He fully understood our needs and was able to guide us to our final choice. His professional approach and technical knowledge of the product were much appreciated. At no point were we hurried to make a decision or pressurised to do so. A professional yet personal service throughout.

From walking in the door to leaving I can only describe the experience as Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and nothing too much trouble.
The staff look after you very well indeed, very knowledgeable on products and a real pleasure to buy from. Smiths is certainly the retailer to go to, even if you have to travel for two hours to get there, it is worth it. A furniture shop selling all the top brands in a well lit, warm , welcoming showroom.

When I went in I was greeted by every member of staff I passed. Got up to the bed department and met frank who listened to me without interrupting. His knowledge and care was second to none. Most helpful with each question. Happy to have ordered a bed and could not fault the service or care. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Excellent service, product, and delivery! We were met with friendly faces who were more than willing and ready to help us with our search for a chair to help my dad during a particularly difficult and sensitive time for our family.

Olly quickly mobilised his team (I believe it was John who helped us), and together they found us the perfect one that both suited our needs and looked exactly how we wanted to match our existing decor!
