Bad motor control board in F63.
Bought an F63 treadmill 8 years ago from a retailer. I used it 1 hour a day 5 days a week. Light jog. After 4 years the motor control board burned out. Bought another F63 right after that from the Sole website. Used it as much as the 1st one. After 3 years, motor control board burned out. This time I called Sole and they sent me a new, upgraded board for free. After 6 months - ending 4 days ago - this board burns out. Yes, I lubricated it regularly. Took good care of it.
My lesson learned is I'm not buying anything else with a motor. I just bought an exercise bike with one of those big air wheels and movable handles. Gives a great cardio workout, which the treadmill used to do when it was working.
After sales service
I have had one of their exercise bikes for a few years. Very satisfied with it. I need a part. I have contacted their UK suppliers (Dyaco) by email and phone. Still waiting for them to get back to me. Sole headquarters won't do anything and can't sell to me direct.
Not as Advertised
Be wary of buying Sole, as what is printed on the website is not what you get. I recently purchased an F85 treadmill, and while functionally it moves like a treadmill, some of the key features I paid for are laughable:
1.) The Bluetooth connection doesn't stay connected, I have to re-pair each use.
2.) The Bluetooth connection doesn't work with the media apps! This completely invalidates the use of wireless headphones, and there is no headphone jack to bypass.
3.) The installed speakers are laughable. They sound like they came from a 1990s 386 PC and the volume doesn't even come close to being loud enough to hear anything the media apps can put out, even at full volume.
4.) The fan is a joke. Please just say you don't have one. I have more powerful fans on my PC. Also, the fan vents point at the ceiling! Even at the lowest tilt setting, I have to have my face 6 inches above the screen to feel it. Half of the breeze hits the back of the monitor. This alone would have had me purchase from another company.
5.) Screen Mirroring doesn't work. From the looks of it, it has never really worked on Android. At minimum the screen could support Casting, but it does not.
6.) The handles are too close to the screen for using the heart rate monitor. Holding on to them makes me walk on the front cover constantly.
Returning Customer
Returning customer to Sole and wanted some info on latest equipment and promotions. Aaron reached out to me in response to my requests within the same day and was able to set me up with a quick call. Great experience and reinforces for me why I wanted to buy another piece of equipment from Sole.
The F80 treadmill wasn't even one-year…
The F80 treadmill wasn't even one-year old but it was making a lot of loud noises. Under the five-year warranty which I purchased, several technicians visited my house but didn't fix the problem. Like other customers have found, Sole didn't stand by its product, and the technicians lied and said I hadn't properly maintained the treadmill. I'm ditching Sole and getting a more reliable treadmill with a company that stands by its machines.
I bought a F63 on January 2023
I bought a F63 on January 2023. By the end of may I had to replace it for a F80 because the whole thing broke down. Control circuit burnt. Motor death. So they agreed to send me the F80 after paying them the price difference. Last September the new machine started to give us trouble. Lot of noise. Technician came and tighten some nuts underneath the machine and left. January 2024 we have to call again for the same problem. Since then we’re still waiting for the machine to be repaired. They say that there’s only one technician that works for them; guess what; he only works Tuesday through Thursday 7:00am to 2:00pm. Never answer his phone or return the texts. Soon my warranty is going to expire. I think this company is the worst of worst. Talking on the phone they told me that I have to work with this only guy or pay another technician to fix my machine. With this guy work schedule I have to miss work. Still waiting to hear from him.

Worst Company I’ve ever dealt with
I spoke with customer service. I reached out to several senior leadership including the CEO. My message was below:
I ’ve had some trouble with customer service with Sole from the very beginning of our interactions and I was hoping I could get some support from senior management on this. Upon purchasing 2 units (a little over a year ago) 1 for my wife and 1 for myself we had a hellish experience dealing with the logistics and delivery company. One unit was delivered when both were supposed to be. They were put together incorrectly when I paid for them to be put together fully. It took weeks for the next one to be delivered at which point I had actually delayed a business trip I was supposed to be on for a month. It cost me a fair amount of money logistically to re-arrange everything and get everything back together. Davis Johnson was my sales rep. When reaching out to him and his management it was a constant finger pointing between the logistics company and sole. No one really took ownership and fixed the issues. The second unit was delivered and was still not assembled correctly. Speed knobs didn’t work, back safety mechanism for the belt wasn’t installed, etc. neither machines were appropriately leveled, and all the left over parts were left scattered Fast forward to this year, on my wife’s treadmill, heavy rust has begun eating its way down the Metal arms of the unit and her Screen stopped working. On my unit the belt is completely slipping, the arms are rusting, the stop/start button has slipped out of its housing unit, and the screen intermittently will stop working. I called customer service and was told that I was 1 month out of warranty for the screen and I never heard anything about the rust issues the belt issues or anything else. It feels like when someone spends almost $7k with your company it should stand by its product more than telling someone they are a month out of warranty so tough luck.

I purchased the F65 Treadmill on February 9, 2024 after investing alot of time researching for the highest quality treadmill in the price range from $1,500 to $2,000.
I assembled the treadmill on March 3rd. I found the assembly instruction to be inadequate and poorly written. Many of the fasteners to secure the plastic trim to the steel frame would not work. I was shorted two 2 threaded machine bolts for the display. After assembly the treadmill would not operate only the display board. I followed the technical support for a reset the unit from factory sleep mode and still could not get to operated. Disassembled to recheck all wiring connections which I found to be poor quality female to male connections. This unit was fabricated in China very poor quality. I am in the process with Sole this am to return treadmill for a full refund.

Horrible Support on New Sole F80 treadmill…
I purchased a new Sole F80 treadmill with white glove delivery and setup. After geeting the treadmill setup and installed, it was perfect. However, I didnt realize the white glove installers had installed the main display screen crooked. I immediately called Sole Fitness and it's affiliated warranty company to see how Sole would take care of this improperly installed display screen, considering the treadmill was brand new. This is where I have my issue. I was advised, "I would have to fix it myself." I said, "WHAT!?" I expressed that I paid $350 for set up and I would now have fix an improperly setup treadmill that I didn't set up. You can see where my dismay and anger is from. This treadmill is brand new, not even a week old and never used yet. At this time, out of principle, Im about to return this Sole F80 treadmill for a complete refund. The fact that I was told to handle the repair is an insult, and far from what I expected from deciding to go with a Sole treadmill. So while I'm quite sure the treadmill is solid, beware the lousy inconsiderate after support as well as the poorly done initial setup, which is not worth $350. I hope I'm contacted by Sole as this is an embarrassing situation for them

Purchased LCB (2020 model) exercise…
Purchased LCB (2020 model) exercise bike on 1/8/2024 that had the power control switch completely missing stated is located beside line cord plug. Called twice agents said there is nothing they can do. Wrote a CHAT request for assistance and they never replied. Now, the only way to completely power off is to unplug and re-plug each time.
Refuse to honor their warranty
Treadmill broke, they refuse to fix it. The parts are back ordered. Likely taking them to court.

I purchased an F85 Treadmill December 2023 as an xmas gift for myself from my husband. I had some questions about having a service person come to help with the set up of the tread(the delivery men did not center it apparently , and I was told by Sole customer service rep, that I needed to send them a video from my cell , and they would listen to the sound, and determine what is causing that sound, and if they felt it was necessary, they would send someone out, but ONLY if they felt they had to order a new part.They expected me to read the instruction booklet on my own, and center the tread myself! Pluis, my husband said it was not easy to do, he had a difficult time, and there was NO way, they could have walked me through this over the phone as the rep suggested. I never could have had the strength in my arms to do it my husband said. We feel that after you purchase their product, that you are then on your own, with any situations that arise. I only have it few weeks, so I hope I dont have many issues in the future with always having to send them a video before they can determine if a service call is necessary! I want someone in my home, simple, I do not want to read an instruction booklet, I want to be shown in person how it works, noone ever showed me anything. they just put it together, and showed where to plug in, where I would need to put lubrication every few months. A customer should not have to put in lubrication. I never once had to touch my Nordictrak treadmill in the 15 plus years i had it,,,service people came without any issues, and i had extended warranty as always. Not even showing me how to set up screen functions, as simple as setting the clock. I asked what if a senior(as my mom) does not have a cellphone or computer, to send pics, they said then the customer would have to ask a friend or family member to do so! What if I did not have a husband to center the tread for me? The service people should need to come out and do it, simple....... I think as polite as customer service was on phone, they need to help the customer with easy requests of sending service people when customer asks. Why do we have warranties!!! This is a brand new machine no less!
Avoid Sole at all costs
The E55 elliptical machine was a disaster from the start. It was extremely loud from the start; clicks, squeaks, thumps and grinding noises. I gave the manufacturer the benefit of the doubt and called support, they needed someone to come out and asses the situation, fine. They came about a week later, said I needed to order parts, they were ordered and delivered another several days later. Then needed to wait another week for the repair company to come back. This process happened about 3 more times. The repair company couldn’t figure out how to fix it and now I had the elliptical in my house for about 2 months unusable. The repair company even told me it was a mistake to buy Sole as their experience was that they always have issues and customers hate them. They told me I should ‘milk the warranty and as soon as it was up to get rid of it immediately!’ - not what you want to hear spending this much on a piece of workout equipment. I reached out to Sole to return it and they told me I was outside of the return window and it couldn’t be done. So because I gave them the benefit of doubt to try and fix it, I get penalized being outside the 30 day return window. To make matters worse, I tried to do an A-Z claim with Amazon and they did nothing and denied it because it was more than 30 days. Shame on Sole and shame on Amazon but I would avoid Sole at all costs! DO NOT BUY!!!
This is what you get if you order…
This is what you get if you order replacement parts from sole and they will only send you a label through the mail for the return and then they have to get the part back before the refund then you have to order a new one and try again. Well I guess you can’t put photos in here. The new screen I ordered can all dusty and looked like someone throw it sliding across a parking lot on it face.

Lousy customer support
Bought a Sole F63 treadmill in 2017. My wife and put about 600-700 miles per year on a treadmill. Mostly during winter months. After 5 years, this treadmill sparked, causing a small fire. The damage was only to the control board. After contacting Sole, they sent a new motor and said the control board was on order. Well, guess what, I’m still waiting for the control board. Whenever, i contact Sole, they say that they are still waiting for a shipment(?) New treadmills are being sold, but sold ones are not being supported. Very disappointing.
I have been a customer for sixteen years
This is my third Sole machine, and my second elliptical machine. I never had a single problem with Sole exercise equipment, and this is the reason I keep coming back.

We had to call Sole 5 times to straighten out this order after Sole initially "Declined" the order despite Affirm having accepted the loan request. Even though the Sales Dept Personnel promised call backs they NEVER called us back to give us status updates. We finally received an email from Affirm that Sole had accepted the order nearly a week later.
