Took my online order and money

Took my online order and money. Order confirmation said would be shipped in 3 days.
8 days later, after many calls, customer service sarcastically says to me "It's only been 8 days, geez." Offered NO update otherwise. I was told it would take 24-48 hours to even get a warehouse to give me am answer. I asked to cancel the order and was hung up on.
11 days later, there is no update. No record of my request for cancellation. No update on where my order is or if it was processed.
I asked to cancel my order AGAIN. The customer service representative refused to do so AGAIN. Claimed it takes 24-48 hours to get an answer. I pointed out that it had been over 72 hours since my last inquiry so that was clearly untrue as she had no definitive answers for me.
The company refuses to deliver what I paid for, refund me or let me cancel the order.

Shipping Charges are a SCAM. Only Use Standard Shipping.

I ordered a backpack from the website on a Friday. I paid for Overnight shipping which "estimated" it arriving on the following Monday. The shipping cost was almost as much as the backpack. I understand with the weekend it's not going to be exactly overnight. Get order confirmation, stating that it has shipped, but no tracking available yet, Cool. Monday arrives, no backpack. Get an email with a tracking number. It hasn't even been dropped off with a carrier yet on Monday. Finally ships on Tuesday, expected arrival on Thursday. So 6 Days is overnight now, hmm. I contact Spencer's Customer Service to request a refund on the shipping charges and get told the shipping is expedited once the warehouse processes the order. If its late after that you need to contact Fedex, its not Spencer's problem. Sorry No Refund. FedEx? Why does my shipping tracking number take me to the USPS tracking website? Also it shipped Tuesday and is scheduled to arrive Thursday? How is that Overnight? So basically it will ship when they get around to it, when they feel like it. DO NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN STANDARD SHIPPING. Take the free shipping if available. They can get away with what is essentially False Advertising by the inclusion of the "Estimated" in the Delivery Date. It's underhanded and borderline criminal behavior, and bad customer service. A complaint for USPS, my package was an hour away from my house on Wednesday, so It could have been here "Overnight" technically, but now its in Tulsa, Oklahoma for some reason....., so it looks like Thursday it is....maybe.

Place sucks

Place sucks. Can’t even get a nose ring that will close once it’s in ur nose. They charge way to much for stuff that doesn’t even work.

Had the best experience today

Had the best experience today at the Spencer’s in The Woodlands, TX mall.
Two employees who were absolutely friendly and helpful. I told them my needs on some items and they educated me making me completely comfortable and we laughed some. Not often a company has such helpful employees these days but Spencer’s has at least 2. So, I would like you to please give Becka and Dillion a great big thank you for a job well done.

I'm not sure where to start

I'm not sure where to start. Never will order from this company again. Merchandise is taxed and shipped separately. So charges are debited from bank separately. They apply a temp credit hold in the amount of the total balance of order. Separated transactions posted on my bank account several days apart from each other. If I had not been on my game with my bank transactions this would have easily caused me to over spend and go nto a deficit. I give their customer service a 50 out of 100. The 1st rep I spoke to about this confusing process was unconcerned and gave me the feeling I was taking up her time. The 2nd rep I spoke to about same delima concerning when will all associates charges ever clear my bank account, was more polite but gave inconsistent info and didn't leave me with the impression he knew his job 100%. I have no confidence in this online vender.

I wish there was an option for zero stars…

I wish there was an option for zero stars. Hands down the worst online buying experience I've ever had. Ordered two items that their website stated were "In-stock". I payed using PayPal and was charged immediately. The following day received an email that they have cancelled the order because items were in fact out of stock. The email stated you haven't been charged. That was a lie. I've exchanged 6 emails over the past 8 days, each one I'm being told allow 3-5 days for your refund. Still haven't received my money after 8 days. Spencer's Gifts are thieves, don't shop with them.

seller cares about customer service

I bought a silicone back scrubber this January n because, I have a torn rotator cuff, I couldn't use this scrubber at all. So, I contacted the seller Spencertoysusa n he responded immediately n was very apologetic, also assured me that I would get a full refund! That made me feel great that he understood my situation. This is what I call "Excellent Customer Service"

OVERNIGHT SHIPPING SCAM & POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I placed an order on 12/30/2022 at 11:00 pm(MST) , I expected overnight shipping as that is the option I chose to get the order 1/1/2023 or Monday at the LATEST. I paid $45.00 in shipping cost for this to be overnight. It is unbelievable and unacceptable to come find out it will take 4 days for the item to arrive. The whole reason i ordered specifically from their site is because this item is hard to get something overnight. I pay for overnight, I expect to get. Idc if your FAQ's say you don't ship on Saturday and Sunday, you should;ve not made overnight available (p.s I didn't know this till after ordering and contacting customer service)Overnight in my book, means priority. I feel ashamed that I had filled out a survey recommending this place and giving 10/10 across the board, however things have changed and left a sour taste in my mouth. You see, when something is expected and doesn't go the way its supposed to, there needs to be an alternative to resolving this matter. They gave no a zero flying bird to even try to. They choose to go with fed ex carrier for the minimum price because the holidays and their company wanted to save and make more money(makes sense). I WITHOUT A DOUBT did not pay the cost of overnight to have this item get to me on Wednesday. I should expect overnight for the price I paid. Your company should expect me to expect that standard and to provide that service at any cost or find a resolution. it is not silly of me to expect that. I requested a refund and contacted support numerous times, they failed to refund the overnight shipping I paid for. What a joke. I filed a complaint with the BBB because I will not let them continue to scam people like this.

Ridiculous shipping time

I ordered a package on 9/26. I live in Hawaii. I know things take a while but I never had to wait a whole month for a package from any company. They told me my package won't arrive until 10/26. Wth. I've had packages come from NY that got here in 10 days. Why does it take Spencers a month? The math isn't matching. International shipping excuse. It's ridiculous. Definitely won't buy anything online from them ever again.

I have been dealing with the corporate…

I have been dealing with the corporate offices for the past 2 months, they know that I'm due a refund. I was told the refund will be issued a refund per this email

We checked the status and see that your refund was approved and should have processed into your account. We would like to collect the first 12 digits of the card used, so we can escalate this refund issue to our Finance Department. Our Finance Department will be able to research your refund and manually enter this is need be. Please contact us at 1-866-586-0155 Option 2 so we can confirm the information we have. If the card is no longer valid, we would like to collect a new card number or a PayPal email address so we can have this refund processed for you. Please provide this information at your earliest convenience so we can forward it to our Finance Department.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. They gave me the run around on multiple occasions, about a package I didn’t receive . Every time I called I was told to wait more. Saying shipping carrier sometimes mark packages delivered when they haven’t been. The longest I was told to wait was 3 months. Call us back in June that’s ridiculous! All I wanted was a refund and I haven’t got it. They offered a store credit which I didn’t want. How can you offer store credit but not a refund it makes no sense to me. I will never shop with the business again.

My 14 year old went into Spencer’s and purchased a vibrator. When she told me I made her go back in and return it. They would not refund her because she did not have a picture ID. I had to give my ID to get the money back. You don’t ask kids for ID to purchase sex toys but I have to show an ID to get my money back? I asked the sales person if they card people for some purchases. She said Nope, kids will be kids. Wrong answer lady. I loved Spencer’s as a kid, but sex toys for young teens? No thanks Spencer’s

Absolutely horrible service went here…

Absolutely horrible service went here today with my wife . And we were confronted by there management that if we weren’t buying anything that we had to leave immediately! And we had already picked out a few items and we’re still shopping when the young lady tolled us we had to hurry up and get out of the store because she was trying to go home!!! Very unprofessional and RUDE SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION .

Spencer's is the perfect store to find that unique gift, party supply, or just something fantastic for yourself. Our family makes a special trip to go shopping to check out the cool t-shirt's. Spencer's is awesome! The atmosphere is cool. The staff is always pleasant and hospitable every time.

Late shipping - Fake refund promises too !!

Spencer's gift have may be some unique and fun products in their shops, but I would NOT recommend buying from their web site at all though, and stay with Amazon instead. Amazon is much more reliable on shipping and fake refund promises than Spencer's gift representative.

To avoid the rush in the malls, I have ordered 3 T-Shirts on their web site way before Christmas to arrive on time for the occasion and be given as presents. Those shirts were supposed to arrive before Christmas. For some unknown reasons that even the support person wasn't able to explain, only ONE shirt arrived on time as expected.

The 2 other got shipped separately and LATER than promised shipping date, and of course delayed and arrived more than a week later. And since the representative person wasn't able to help about what's going on, I had to contact myself FedEx to check about the issue.

The worse part was when the support person promised I will get a refund on shipping fees to compensate about the troubles. But guess what ? I NEVER received any refund of any kind from them. So they totally lied to me as well on that side.

Such a horrible experience, and I will stick to Amazon from now on. It's sad because that's how small businesses die at the end.

Good experience instore and online! Just a bit pricey though.

I have been in the Fayette location at Spencer's gifts, and have liked shopping there. It's a little expensive though. A few weeks after my first visit there, I had a coupon, and the shipping was free. I would recommend shopping in the clearance and using coupons, just because the store is a little pricey.
