We have just returned from a brilliant family trip to Costa Rica arranged by Lucy at Sundowner Holidays. The whole trip was organised brilliantly and completely met our expectations and more. This is the second time we have used Sundowner Holidays and would definitely recommend them and will use them again.

Just returned from a bucket-list holiday to Borneo tailored for us by Lucy at Sundowner. This was our first Sundowner holiday, and will definitely not be our last.
We liked the fact it was easy to look at the different options, and we ended up with something that suited us very well. A short stay in Kuala Lumpur, followed by a week in the rainforest photographing the wildlife, followed by a week on Gaya Island relaxing on the beach. From seeing what other couples ended up with it seems not all travel agents are created equal, we soon appreciated the level of detail in the booking, from A/C in every room to letting the hotel know it was my birthday. The in country reps and details went seamlessly, quite often others were left waiting for their driver to turn up, ours were always there. Before we left for Borneo we had the chance to visit the Sundowner office, and they are as nice in person as they are online. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the company, and will be booking our next adventure soon with them.

We’ve just returned from our holiday in Vietnam and Cambodia which Andrew organised for us. The transfers and guides were all top quality, lovely hotels always in very good locations. Andrew suggested some unusual tours such as a street food tour by Vespa in Hue and a rice cultivation tour in Hoi An - the trip was a good balance of city and countryside, tours and free time.

Hannah turned our specified itinerary for SriLanka into a bespoke tour and holiday. The small owner managed hotels were comfortable, interesting and full of character.

Sundowner’s representatives in SriLanka made the holiday run smoothly. Our driver for the duration of the holiday used his knowledge, experience and local networks to our advantage arriving at destinations at the right time, avoiding crowds and increasing chances of wildlife sightings

Overall a fantastic holiday, consequently we have no hesitation in recommending Sundowner.

This is the second time we have used Sundowner to arrange our holiday. This time we went to Thailand in January 2025. Our holiday was organised by Andrew who took time to find out what we wanted to tailor make our adventure.

In Thailand everything ran smoothly with on time pick ups, very knowledgeable guides and super friendly people. Highlights in Thailand were a 3 night river cruise on River Kwai, time in Bangkok, 2 day trip to Ayutthua to see palaces and temples and beach time in the island of Koh Yaoi Noi and then onto Krabi.

We worked with Andrew to pull together a wonderful trip to Sri Lanka. He took onboard our requirements, budget and he added some great suggestions to make it a memorable holiday. Our in country guide was so knowledgable and really made the trip come together seamlessly and the accommodation was 1st class. This is our second time of using Sundownerholidays and we will definitely use them again.

Sundowner was recommended to us by friends who had travelled with them to Costa Rica, and we had a similarly great experience with the firm (specifically Hannah) arranging a family trip to Penang and Borneo. It was our first trip outside Europe as a family, and a real help to have arranged this through people who really knew the areas we wanted to visit. Hannah was brilliant in coming up with an original outline and very happy to tweak it as we went through several iterations to get the holiday exactly as we wanted it. Everything worked incredibly smoothly when we were on the holiday, and we had a fantastic trip - would highly recommend both Sundowner and Borneo for a family holiday that offers a mix of wildlife, culture and relaxing.

Sundowner staff are amazing. I had huge problems with KLM changing my flights three times and Hannah, with the help of Cheska and James had to rearrange my plans. Brilliant staff. Travelled to Kuala Lumpur and Borneo for the trip of a lifetime. Top tip - Wi-Fi is not free in all of the lodges and even in Kuala Lumpur some places charge. Buy an eSIM before you go. Gayá island resort is overpriced - stock up on snacks before arrival.

This year we decided to take our kids to see as many animals as possible. Lucy at Sundowner made it happen for us with a magical holiday to South Africa. Everything about it was easy, from booking to execution, even adjustments to fit in a meeting with friends and an extra day due to airline complications. We've been back less than 48 hours and are already planning our next tripwith them.

We recently returned from the most unforgettable honeymoon to South Africa and Seychelles, all meticulously planned by Andrew at Sundowner.

From the moment we arrived, every detail felt like it had been perfectly crafted for us. Sundowner had mentioned that Garonga was a special place, but we were truly blown away when we arrived. Our night on the sleep-out deck in the bush, the enchanting star bath, and the relaxing massages were such thoughtful honeymoon touches that made the experience even more magical. The safari was everything we’d dreamed of, with stunning scenery and knowledgeable guides. We were lucky to see the big 5 and more!

The Seychelles portion was pure paradise – white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and the perfect luxury resort to unwind and celebrate. The balance between adventure and relaxation was perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

While we did face some issues with our outbound flight and luggage, we appreciate that these were out of their control. The rest of the trip was so seamless and magical that it far outweighed any inconveniences.

We would highly recommend Sundowner and Andrew for anyone looking to plan the honeymoon of a lifetime!

After planning my wedding, the last thing I wanted to do was plan a honeymoon. But my husband and I also really wanted to have a grand adventure to Madagascar. We turned to Sundowner -- the first time my husband and I have ever booked with a travel agency -- and I'm so grateful that we did. Lucy helped us craft a perfect, stress-free trip full of the things we love (so many unique animals and amazing hiking.) Communication with Sundowner was great before we left home and we were in awe by how smoothly the whole trip went thanks to the careful planning and local drivers and guides that had been arranged for us.
I'd say that it was the trip of a lifetime, but now we are feeling even more confident and eager to explore more of the world and see more of its animals. I suspect we'll be booking through Sundowner again.

Our holiday to Namibia organised by James at Sundowner Holidays was absolutely amazing. It was truly a holiday of a lifetime. Everything was perfect from The Lodges we stayed at, the food & the places we visited.

2nd holiday arranged by sundowners - family tour of Sri Lanka - had a great time - no issues - brilliant hotels and activities and overall really good value

We booked our holiday to Sri Lanka with Sundowner and they didn't disappoint. Help & communication throughout with Jo and Kat was excellent. They accommodated our wishes into the itinerary and everything from hotels to activities worked perfectly. We had a driver/guide throughout the holiday who was excellent & we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Fully recommend. This is the 2nd time we have used Sundowner.

We booked our honeymoon through Andrew at sundowners, and the whole process was faultless. Very easy booking, and accommodated our changes to the default version advertised on the website - both in terms of length of stay and altering specifics, which made the whole experience very personalised. When we looked separately at the same resorts there was no way we could have done it for the same price either. On the honeymoon itself we were wowed with the quality of both our safari and beach holidays, and have recommended both of the locations to friends already! We had the most fantastic trip to Vietnam with sundowners. Andrew was very personable and worked with us to ensure we had a tailor-made and varied trip to suit our family. Highlights included the street food tour in Hanoi and cooking school in Hoi An. Everything ran perfectly and all the transfers, guides, hotels and excursions were fantastic - we wouldn’t have changed a thing! This was our second trip with sundowners and it certainly won’t be our last!
