I got my school photos at the end of year 11 they where very very rude and not a lot of patience at all pushed us to the place we needed to be insted of asking. the photos came out nice not amazing but still nice. i would have gone for people that was less rude.

Never had a good experience.
The last experience was trying to buy 2 class photos so can have one at each house to be told that you are not able to buy the double photo pack with the one photo, you can only buy a single photo.
Just a scummy company, avoid at all costs and please email your schools telling them to avoid using this company

I contacted them asking them to alter contrast, but was told; ''had passed Quality Control and deemed as acceptable and is within our parameters''.

Edited - extra star given for sorting out my issue after following up with Olly. I have received some mounts and an assurance that that the issues I raised wil be looked at. I do feel that it shouldn't have taken a critical review to prompt that but I've got the outcome I wanted.
Original review:
My eldest son had his photo taken in September. We always order the same pack, 1 medium, 2 desk prints with cardboard strut mounts. Which we did, no problem.
My youngest son, same school, had his photo taken in September also but we were unable to buy it as the photographer was coming back to take a year group photo, which we have no interest in. This was finally taken in January and now both the individual and group photos are available to purchase. However, the pack we get every year for both kids is not available as kids who have both individual and group photos taken have a different set of options. We can get similar (1 medium, 2 desk, 8 wallet prints) but without the mounts and no option to purchase the mounts separately. If we want the usual pack with mounts it's classed as a custom order, with prices to reflect that and an additional £5 delivery as they can't then be collected from school. Customer service not much help. Basically a "them's your choices" response.
Not cheap, average quality, poor service and somewhat inflexible on some fairly bizarre rules they've imposed on what you're allowed to buy.
They make themselves hard to recommend.

My daughter is pure blonde yet for some reason every year on her school photos shes dark haired. This year it's not just brown but chestnut red. I don't know what you do, but in the 5 years shes had school photos done shes had a dye job on her school pictures every year....

We have stopped ordering school photos, to the disappointment of grandparents, but the quality is so poor and the prices so extortionate that we simply refuse to allow ourselves to continue to be exploited in this manner. Schools take note.
Instead at the start of each new school year we take photos of the kids just prior to setting off for school. Better quality, zero cost. Lovely.

The photographer was fantastic with my children. We had a sibling photo taken before school, and she was very patient and friendly, taking the time to get a good shot of both of them together. My child's single portrait was lovely too. I ordered the digital images, and they were emailed to me within a couple of days.

The Tempest photographer that came to our primary school was great. They really knew how to work with children as the photos of my boys together are great. Patience of a saint springs to mind. Great choice of prodcuts too in the past I have bought the big sets to share with family this time I opted for 3 pics instead to frame for Christmas presents

My boy will never sit still for a photo.. let alone smile! Yet i go the imagine home and he did all of the above. i was thrilled, great photos which also didnt take long to come either.
I also ordered a digital copy and that came within 48 hours.
Cant wait for next years.

Photographer is the only person who can get my son to sit still and look to the camera. We have always had lovely pictures from Tempest.
Unfortunately the pictures are expensive for us but I think that’s just the nature of that business.

I ordered a digital download on 24/11/2025 which I expected would be the quickest way to receive my photograph with Christmas upcoming.
By January 2026 I had not yet received the photograph and therefore made a general enquiry as to its whereabouts.
A person contacted me back telling me that it had been personally emailed to me 1st Jan 2026 when it categorically had not. I was assured I was to be ‘re-sent’ the image within the next 48 hours.
The next day (6/1/26) I received the image via email from the very person that handled my query.
1. The image is below par standard.
2. The image is still unable to be retained via the reference number they gave via the original email confirming the order.
3. The image was not sent via email on the 1/1/2026 as they had stated. That is a complete fabrication.
This will be taken further and the school from which they are commissioned will certainly be notified (multiple times) about their shocking service. I am certainly not the only person who is dissatisfied at the very least with the service received.

Yet again (for the 3rd year in a row I have had the misfortune of having to use this company) they haven't sent photo mounts, although I asked them to. The photos are awful but they are all I have got. Yet another disappointment from this cowboy company.

Shocked by the poor quality. The photos that I've received are more cropped and closer up than the image I wanted and does not match the image provided on the receipt or the one on the QR code.
I also didn’t realise how poor quality the frames would be - cheap flimsy cardboard and they don’t even have anything to cover over the photo so are sure to be a dust magnet.

I recently ordered a Christmas tree decoration of my child's school photo. Rather concerned as the image I received was of another child, not even the same school! The worry now would be what hands is my child's photo in !
When contacting them i was advised my order will be going out today for delivery in the next week as my decoration is still on the shelf, do i have to just take their word on this ?
Surely this would be a safeguarding issue ?
