Disgustingly over priced! I can't believe it ...£22 for 1 '10x8' photo, charging us parents that! Asda is quater that. My friends little one had photos taken at school and it was half the price.
Money Grabbing most definitely. !

RIP off, schools would be better getting local photography company in, as this company didn’t even sell one digital photo, cheapest they do is a bungle which has calendars and key ring size,
Who has key ring ones these days and who wants a calander half way through the year, need to get with the times and stop charging the early,
£16 a child for 500+ kids, there’s no need to charge what they do
£28 for 3 school pictures
£28 for 3 school pictures. Dont fall for it
Awful school photos
Awful school photos, dark and unprofessional. Poor quality. Extortionate price and very poor photos. Also the fridge magnets and key rings, photos need to be cut and assembled ourselves
rushed photo,expensive pointless packs
not impressed with the school pboto packs, didnt take the time for a nicer photo and you cant choose what to order, you have to buy packs which is no good if you just want a couple of photos and and a keyring,i dont want calanders bookmarks, gift labels and fridge magnets.
Authorised thieves
I’m honestly shocked at the pricing from this school photography company. They really need to clearly explain why they are charging such extortionate prices, ideally with a full cost breakdown, because nothing about the current rates makes sense. They are taking photos of school children, not millionaire celebrities, yet the prices suggest otherwise.
The package structure is completely illogical. How can a single photo cost around £19, yet somehow just a few pounds more gets you an entire bundle? And charging an extra £2 for what is essentially a cardboard frame feels like bad taste and, frankly, despicable. It comes across as squeezing every penny possible out of parents.
The overall pricing feels ethically questionable, especially considering families are essentially a captive audience for school photos. In my opinion, companies operating this way should not be allowed in schools at all. Parents deserve fair, transparent pricing—not this.
Terrible photo quality.
Terrible photo quality.
This is now the second year in a row that we can’t order any school photos. Last year, while my son was in Reception, the lighting was so poor that even his hair colour looked completely different. This year, he has his eyes closed in the main photo — I honestly don’t understand how a photographer doesn’t notice something so obvious before taking the shot.
With so many similar complaints already in the reviews, I’m genuinely surprised the school continues to use this service. The prices are also far too high for the level of quality provided.
I’ll be raising this with the principal, because families should not have to pay premium prices for photos that simply aren’t usable.
Terrible Photo Prints and Poor Customer…
Terrible Photo Prints and Poor Customer service
I spoke to Braiswick customer service about their quality of print and the dark contrast mode in which the children don't appear to be their original self. The customer service had no sympathy on the outcome and the emotions the photography means to the family, and were just able to read the script from their policy and terms and conditions.
I definitely am going to persuade schools to move to a different provider and not trust this business. Some of the parents have agreed to my views and are stepping back from ordering from the provider next time.
Absolutely laughable editing and dreadful photos
Recent school photos at my childs primary school, what an absolutely dreadful “photography” company.
My child is pale and bright blonde - her photo has been so oversaturated during editing that her hair is bright orange and her lips are almost red. To add to that, she had pigtails in. One pigtail has some very strange editing whereby it is significantly longer than 1) her other pigtail 2) the actual length of her hair.
The whole class is disappointed. Several children have had the colour entirely removed from the iris of their eyes, and filled in black. Therefore, they have one blue eye for example, and one demonic black eye. Several children have messy hair, uniforms etc (for a company that has been around for decades, they could attempt to help get a decent photo)
Poor response of basically this is the only photo of your child and she has a watermark on her face so bear that in mind… unsure what this has to do with their inability to edit photos.
All that, and they’re extremely expensive. Can guarantee people will not buy photos.
IF I COULD RATED 0 STAR WOULD
IF I COULD RATED 0 STAR WOULD
This company came to my son's school and took an awful picture of him for his first picture for reception year.. It was his first picture and i was so excited to it .. i sent an email but their response was meaningless.. hopefully the school change the company next year.. this year i took a picture myself of him ...
TERRIBLE PHOTO
TERRIBLE PHOTO, this company came to my son’s school to take individual photos. The photo was a DISASTER, not sure if the teacher or the photographer told my son to do a cheeky smile and he did (my son is only 4 years old). How come the photographer didn’t look at the camera and told the child just to do a normal face instead of a RIDICULOUS smile.
I contacted Braiswick photographic however I received answer that “We never seen your son so we DO NOT know how if this is an awkward or normal smile for him”. 🙄🙄🙄 What sort of answer is this? Is there photographer blind or having issues with his eyes? Isn’t the photographer job is to capture nice photos? Why can’t he look at the camera before shooting and why didn’t he take a few photos?
How come this business has been going since 1965 with their photographers taking photos with their EYES SHUT?
There are so many other negative reviews for the printing photos too.
AVOID this business if you don’t want to waste your time, effort and money.
Worst experience
I ordered photos from school but they didn’t specify that it is MOUNTS ONLY, NO PHOTO included. They just fixed and changed it now that the customers already bought the item and now I have to order again and there will be a £4 admin fee for ordering late just because they didn’t clarify how to do it. They kept insisting that it was specified—yes it is now but not BEFORE when I ordered the item.
Poor Photo Quality and Terrible Value for Money
The quality of the photo taken was poor. Due to the low camera angle, the lighting cast a severe shadow under my daughter's chin, making her appear to have a double chin.
My frustration is compounded by this company's ridiculously expensive pricing structure. Parents are essentially forced into buying large, wasteful packages containing more photos than anyone could possibly need. The lack of a simple option to purchase just one or two photos is completely unacceptable.
For the low quality of the image (and the lack of better options provided), coupled with the premium price, this service offers terrible value for money.
Furthermore, the company's outdated and neglected website reflects a general lack of care for their customer experience. I urge the school to review the experiences shared on TrustPilot and select a company that offers better quality and more flexible purchasing options for parents.
Awful pictures
My son told me before I actually got the picture that it was bad. He said he was looking up with his nice smile but they told him to look down but look up at the camera .... the result isnt good at all , he looks like he'sin pain. Just let the kids smile there way for gods sake. I'm fuming actually because its his last at primary.
AVOID!
The worst photo I have ever seen of my child.. she had a huge mark on her shoulder, right at the front of the shot. The photographer could have asked her to move some hair in front to cover it, this is not even just unprofessional but lacking basic common sense? The lighting is dull and HORRENDOUS. She has bright blonde hair that looked a very dark blonde/warm colour and the top of her head looked like she had black roots due to the lighting. Her eyes are bright blue but again due to bad lighting, looked a dull colour. My daughter was also upset when I explained I would not be purchasing the photo, I felt awful :( couldn't justify paying extortionate prices for such an awful photograph. Customer service did offer to have them edit the mark in the lab but with the other issues, was no point. They agreed to cancel my physical order but still had to pay the extortionate cost of the digital copy. Waste of money!
I ordered my photographs the day that…
I ordered my photographs the day that my granddaughter bought her photos home although I am not happy that the photographer has got more of her uniform than her face.
I ordered and paid for a digital download on Tuesday 9 September and still have not recived my digital download.
My other granddaughter bought her photo's home and again I orded and paid for the items 3 Octeber and got my digital download 2min later.
BRAISWICK Get your finger out you have a lot to learn.
Just reduce your prices to prove that…
Just reduce your prices to prove that private enterprise is not leeching from state institutions. If the school was getting a £15 kickback from every £19 download, that would be ok, but they are not.
Shocking prices, awful website
Bloody extortionate prices, average at best pictures, these guys are unbelievable. Go to a school run kids through in seconds, and charge £19 per digital download they don't even need to print anything.
Calander
I ordered a calendar with the overpriced picture just as I did last year, I couldn't believe someone had the stupid idea to make it from August this year to July next year, if I'd have know they were going to do that I wouldn't have bothered ordering it and the photo's too as they are never that good, I'm now going to have to buy a proper calendar later on.

Really disappointed with the AI use for a whole school photo. The photograph itself looks totally false with children all given the same height, body size, looking straight ahead, no arms to be seen, clothing at odds with the supposed weather for an outside summer photo. Also cannot understand the cost is just as high as that for a photograph taken in actual person as opposed to AI. The results are terrible. Sorry. This is not the way forward for children's school photos.
