The questions were easily understood and to fill in,the cover was far better than my last insurance company and it was all completed quickly.

Easy to get everything sorted. Quote was very competitive and the knowledge that I am with a big company allows me to relax and enjoy driving.

I broke down at 2 pm in a rural location, after literally dozens of Fone calls I got our first visit of a mechanic at 6pm, who knew in advance it was a 3.5 tonne van than needed recovery which he couldnt do. My Fone battery got very low , I had to keep repeating our story , 2 ladies stranded feeling vulnerable no access to food or drink and the call handlers spoke in very poor pigeon English . Eventually we were put on the back of a lorry at 1030pm and got home after midnight.
I feel to leave 2 women stranded for 8 1/2 hours was outrageous
Would I recommend AA definitely not . The lorry driver who uplifted us was lovely but AA just sub contracts and doesn’t care. The first mechanic who arrived said they’d only got the call in at 530pm yet AA had been sending me live updates saying hour away and they kept changing it every hour. I believe the mechanic who said they do it all the time, avoid at all cost

Went to AA via the compare market link. I experienced difficulty with account creation, specifically the retrieve your quote e mail, Had to call AA to ensure that I had actually paid the AA and insurance cover was set up. While on call the insurance e mail came through.

I moved to the AA after doing a comparison on Compare the market. It wasn't the cheapest but I suppose I trust the brand. The process was simpler than I remember although it was important to check through what I had bought as I pay a bit more in case of being away for more than 30 days.
I had also heard good reviews on Radio

In process of buying an AA platinum policy via moneysupermarket, I spoke by phone to the AA to add at home and national recovery breakdown cover. I was quoted an extra £45 on the premium which I accepted as it was comparable to similar insurance costs on previous policy with last years insurer. I was pleased with overall price of policy and helpful phone advisor, until after purchase I read the terms of the breakdown cover and discovered it only allowed one call out per year! When I contacted the AA, thinking it must be a mistake, I was told that it wasn't, and that the advisor had a script which would have told me this. To be honest, if he had, then it certainly didn't register with me at the time (who would expect an annual AA breakdown policy to only cover one call out?!). I cancelled the breakdown cover part, and was able, (again through moneysupermarket) to purchase a comparable breakdown cover, from a national breakdown company, with unlimited call outs, and which was in What Car top ten, for £35. I have no idea why the AA think its a good idea to sell a breakdown policy allowing one call out a year (I was told it was after customer feedback requests!), especially when you can buy a comparable unlimited policy for less elsewhere! I wasn't expecting to have to read the small print with an AA breakdown cover policy. Their website advertises their cover as unlimited call outs - but be very aware that it does not apply where you buy their insurance through a comparison website. This experience has left me very wary of the AA and wondering what other get out clauses there may be on their policies, that I will only discover if I have the misfortune of having to make a claim..........Expert reviews say the AA is a good insurer, and I'm sure it may be in general, but really, what marketing genious has persuaded them that offering an annual breakdown cover which only covers one call out a year is a good idea!

Got my insurance on the compare website,easy to put in all car details,and the great thing is you get your reference number can phone and spk to someone which is great,as someone there to explain,if needed and get paper documents sent out. Not everyone wants to deal with everything on line and you can cancel automatic renewal,as we all know they can be more expensive,the following year. All in all very good experience and great deal with lots of add ons to protect policy,it was a great price highly recommend

Easy to follow information/instructions etc. enabling me to place my house insurance with the AA

Its buying insurance , something you pay for and hope you never need. Seems to be be a good level of cover for a reasonable price. Information could be clearer ie they say cover to a certain level , what they dont tell you is the cover they ACTUALLY quote for is a lot lower and if you want the advertised level it costs more. Lets hope I never have to find out how good ( or bad) it is.

The details of the policy were clear and a better deal than the one from my existing provider. Just a pity that I couldn't access 'the goodies' promised by the comparison site. It's been ok before when I've purchased an AA insurance product....

I took out multi car insurance and we had great service, very helpful nothing was rushed.

Well you sent a renewal email to me. As usual I had done a search on the comparison sites to find th best deal. There were quite a few, much cheaper than the £336 you quoted in the renewal. However I did stick with AA because online I managed to save £36. This is very underhand & I'm glad I did a search beforehand. However I did think your platinum insurance was the best so I have stuck with you for a better price! The site was easy to negotiate & everything was fully explained.

Insurance was as I wanted,but I was surprised that it didn’t say that it was an online account. Also it would have helped if a contact telephone number was shown in case of anyone having questions which I did.

Easy to purchase, comprehensive policy coverage and good price.
