This is a terrible company. My daughter had her claim rejected for the most dubious reasons and after months of emails and a formal complaint she went to the motor ombudsman. After six months, the ombudsman replied that TAG Warranties Ltd had gone into voluntary liquidation. As a result, the ombudsman has closed the case. The Auto Group is owned by Evolution warranties Ltd who have a winding up petition against them by HMRC. Evolution warranties are in turn owned by Evolution Warranties World Group Ltd. All these companies have the same registered address and directors. Evolution warranties have changed their name to clearcoverwarranties.com.2, presumably because of the negative publicity and the winding up petition. However clearcoverwarranties.co.uk is a completely separate legitimate company and should not be tarred with the same brush! Bottom line, all the policies bought in good faith from AutoGroup are probably worthless unless Evolution Warranties World Group accepts liability.

Apparently this company has been taken over by Evolution Company although nobody bothered to advise us. Therefore you cannot contact them by email or phone. Our claim had already been agreed so after contacting the dealer who sold the policy we had to re submit all the paperwork. Although they have indicated they will refund us we are still waiting. The work was completed on 5th September. I would avoid this company.
This Company exist or is a scam?!!
From September this year i have a claim payment with this company and no any response by now, no mails working, no phone working, all is in vain! We should claim our payments to The Motor Ombudsman or the Dealer Company who give us, this Company Warranty.

The third claim was supposedly wear and tear even though it was covered what an absolute sham of a company I’ve sent recorded delivery letters to them and I’m still waiting for a reply. Also got in touch with trade in standards to register a complaint. This has been ongoing since August 28.

I've been trying to contact the auto group to log a claim, along with my mechanic, can't get through to anyone, the email address doesn't work, no phone numbers work, pure and utter dog shite, same as dereham motors who sold me the policy!!!
Avoid these crooks like the plague. I'll be doing everything I can to escalate this with trading standards!

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise people to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company or setting up new policies.
They have stopped answering my calls and have not responded to multiple emails for months. This is especially concerning as I still have two years left on my agreement and need to make a claim, yet I cannot get any communication from them at all.
In my opinion, these are signs of a company experiencing serious issues. I would recommend avoiding them altogether until they demonstrate genuine improvements in customer service and reliability.

these people do not honor the warranty that they give out. They are all talk and NO action. my issue is now almost 2 years old and after accepting the warranty claim they now have gone completely silent with no communication at all.
The only thing they are good at is sending emails with unsold vehicles up for sale. USELESS AT BEST they are.

I've had a few failed claims that they have wormed out of stating absolute waffle, closing one case behind my back without notice! they finally accepted a claim i put in (albeit small and only covering around half of the repair cost for some reason) that was at the start of September, i am currently at my 8th email that has been ignored, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !
Really poor service
Really poor service. Would not recommend. Bought an extend warranty thinking I would be in safe hands. Took my car in to get checked, needed fuel regulator and add blue issue resolved. They replied back saying they would not fix the add blue and would only pay a little amount towards the fuel regulator. I emailed them to find out further information but got no reply on several occasions. Tried calling them many many times and their phone system is down. Not sure what is taking them so long to fix their phones. For a company who thrive on offering the best service, they are pathetic. At no point did they reply back to my emails or try to contact me. I've had to go privately and spend a lot of money to get my car fixed. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY USING THIS COMPANY

This company are a bunch of crooks as is the parent company Evolution Warranties! After a significant issue with my car it was suddenly decided that incorrect or missing service history means that they will not cover the costs of the repair of my vehicle, this is despite them approving a claim previously! Apparently an engine is a serviceable item where a DPF filter isn’t however if you don’t service the vehicle correctly then you will have DPF issues!
They read policies to you from a screen and stick by them however then don’t stick to their own policies when submitting a complaint!
They now have telephony issues when you try to call them and refuse to respond to emails!
My assumption is that the company has gone bust and shipped the customers to Evolution Warranties who talk a good game but are equally as bad read my review on them if you like!
Poor customer service
Submitted a pre auth claim as per the policy instructions. Had the work carried out by the garage, they have submitted the invoice. 4 weeks later, no payment and uncontactable on email/phone.
Still taking direct debit payment.

Without a car going on three months. Their phone number does not work and despite the mechanic submitting all forms and details for a fault that is within warranty, they do nothing. Sadly this may go to legal action next.
poor customer service, poor after service support
brought the extended warranty that The auto group offer. came to use it to replace failed radiator, got approved for repair at a reduced quotation than initially quoted. submitted all paperwork after repair, as advised to do so in order to be paid. was told would be paid in a weeks time, 3x weeks later, still not been reimbursed. now the phone lines are apparently not working, however TAG seem to now be ignoring my emails. customer service from these guys is awful. will not be using again.

Awful! I would never ever spend a penny on this company. They refused major technical problems with my car because of minor things that they get u in warranty. Then my engine completely went (bare in mind this is a 20k plus car brought only 2 years ago hence why i took cover) and they have been going back and forth with me for 3 months and then eventually 4 months later got there team to inspect my vehicle and ive still not heard anything back to see if they will cover and this is now 4 weeks on wnd there phonelines will not work and they wont respond to emails. So ive had no car for this long and its in a garage waiting to hear from the warranty until they start repairs. Disgusting

Absolute crooks! Don’t believe what they say about wear and tear!
I battled it out with them it took around 2years. They was claiming that my vehicle had blown up via a diesel run off scenario. However I had my own independent inspector Doug from elite inspections which I can’t recommend enough. He labeled the fault to an injector 2 to have failed which isn’t a wear and tear matter. TAGs report showed no signs of wear and tear in their pictures and produced no diagnostics or tests to prove the wear and tear. TAG in court tried to get out of this on a technicality that the car was not MOT or taxed at the point of the valuation of the claim. However the damage was reported around 10weeks prior. Court seen straight through this and awarded me the win.
However since this matter they have started to wind down their business and apparently as of last week go into administration so they no longer have to pay the £15,000.
It is obvious when looking at the companies house when looking at the directors on the business that they have been winding down this business for the past two years and have moved their business to Evolution warranties.
I would be grateful if anyone could give me any info as how to challenge this as it is a fraud issue and they have been strategically planning this over the last two years.
Go else where and save your money.
Wouldn't bother wasting your money, no matter what fails everytime i got given the same answer, its wear and tear. Well hate to say it but isnt everything wear and tear on a car ?
Save your money and use someone else these guys are about as useful as a hog roast at a vegan party.
