Every step of the way they have been supportive and helpful. Available at all times, just a quick phone call away. Really understanding of me working around my university work, allowing me all the time I need.

Their people done their jobs well, in not more than one or two months I attained the licences necessary through them, for which I am thankful.

This is the biggest corn company I have ever come across. All they do is lie over the phone and take commission on whatever course you want to do. Please DO NOT go forward booking any course with this guys. All they are is a group of corn artists working over the phone and tricking people. I don’t want anyone else to get cheated how I did. They just book your course with a company close to your area and charge a massive commission. I did a 16 hours course which the training school charges £1799 how ever I ended up paying £2500 that’s £700 commission. This is fraud!!!! Also the with CPC they charged me £500 where is cost £350 and when I told them to refund my money they stop responding. Please DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!!

Great experience

If you’re considering HGV training then this company are a decent choice. There are some positives but also a few points you should really consider before signing up.

Firstly they are a go between company, and for that you pay a HEFTY premium, especially when booking your theory test. If you’re happy with that and want the convenience then fill your boots and let them take the strain. (and your money)

Secondly, the training courses are very good. My son was very pleased with the whole experience. Again though there are plenty about at a much cheaper price if you go direct. (EP training are very good)

Thirdly, when you sign up prepare for lots of phone calls with extra add ons. These are expensive and can feel very pressurised at times as there is commission to be made!

Once you do pass, you are then handed over to the recruitment side, and this is where things nosedive very quickly. You are literally just a number…(and a big number at that) of people looking for work. There is just one person looking after you and he is so overworked that unless you chase hard, then little will come your way in terms of feedback, let alone work. We have had lots of promises/leads but little substance and we are tired of chasing aimlessly.

It has felt for some time that now the LGV training company have our money and my son has passed his test, he is a distinct after thought. (think salesman who has sold you a shiny new car and you have left the showroom etc). We have been told by the recruiter that only having an automatic licence and being under 25 hinders my son, but this strangely wasn’t a problem when we signed up to the glitzy sales pitch and our money paid. In fact, we were told it wasn’t a problem and there would be jobs aplenty when my son completed his training. That affirmation simply has not materialised.

My advice would be to go in with eyes well and truly wide open. It’s a lot of money and you can get much better value going independently to a host of training companies and booking the theory yourself. Also, the job situation is not as they make out, it is very tough out there especially if you are under 25 due to insurance costs.

After few years since my last CPC its amazing what you for get over time.

From the moment I first made contact with the LGV training company they were nothing but helpful. I was explained the process from beginning to end by Antonio, who was also only a message away whenever I had a question about obtaining my license. Booking with this company took all the stress of acquiring the C+E license as when I looked myself I was very overwhelmed and confused at what I did need and what I didn't. With pass protection too I was at ease that if anything was to go wrong I would be in safe hands with priority booking. I did have to use it once and I was rebooked in another theory test centre the same day I failed, for an appointment that was only a matter of weeks away. Having passed the second time round there was no delay in booking my CPC M4 course and my C+E training course. After passing these two again the same day I passed they offered me career guidance and CV help. Absolutely brilliant team of people, everyone who I spoke to on the phone were always so polite and professional. I can only speak on one side of the equation as I did my inperson training with the East Coast Drier Training centre, but the LGV training company booked and organised everything on my behalf which again took all the stress out of obtaining my license.

Not only this but when I first spoke to Antonio on the phone, before he took any money from me or even gave me a price on training we had a conversation to ensure this was definitely the path I wanted to go down. Massive respect to these people!

I started LGV training to change careers and was going through a particularly rough time. I called up the LGV Training Company for a quote, and from the very first conversation I have not been disappointed. They provide a high level of personalised service at every stage of the process. Each step is well explained and throughout this I have felt supported and informed as to what is next and what I need to do to advance. Accessing the online training materials provided was simple and really helpful, and gave me confidence when completing my CPC2, as well as increasing my knowledge and appreciation for this industry. At no point have I felt lost or as though I don't know what's happening, and that is down to my mentor Antonio, who has been very patient with me and has looked after me with the utmost care and professionalism. He has taken the time to explain things to me, help me complete the tasks I needed to and gone above and beyond to fit this training into my schedule. If you are considering LGV training, you would be foolish to look elsewhere.

The company as a whole were great! I have had amazing guidance throughout the whole experience and as someone new to the C1 driving world this was very helpful. I was sent all of my revision materials in a timely manner and email responses were very prompt. One thing I would re-consider is the price, the company I did my practical training lessons with did offer the course at a cheaper rate but having not gone down that route I'm not sure if you would have received the same guidance/ friendly welcome. Big thanks to the team at LGV for all their help!

Steve the trainer was very helpful i am not a transport manager and he went out of his way to help.me out very nice guy helpful and understanding all in all he knows his job i would recomend this company
