REALLY GOOD SERVICE, THEY ARE WONDERFUL WHAT THEY DO

Very customer focused

I highly recommend TopGrass who I have used for several years now.
They provide an excellent tailored service with friendly and helpful staff. After a visit an email is sent confirming what work had been undertaken that day and the email also regularly includes useful hints and tips to help keep the lawn looking good.

Highly recommend. My lawn looks fabulous, staff always so helpful and explain everything step by step.

We have used TopGrass for a few years now and our grass has remained green even throughout this summer period!! Great communication for visits and post service feedback from the always courteous technicians, with fair pricing. Highly recommended.

We trusted this company to provide appropriate lawn treatments, we had and paid for treatments during the drought despite our concerns that they were not appropriate because of the weather conditions but they were happy to charge us for what we consider were worthless treatments. We gave the company an opportunity to respond and resolve our concerns but to date have failed to respond or acknowledge our disappointment.

One of the worst companies I have ever had the experience of dealing with. 3 years we have disputed an invoice for an alleged visit by one of the top grass good for nothing franchisees. They insist they visited my property during a period we were not at home. We engaged them in June 2022, cancelling the contract via a telephone call in august 2023. They then invoiced us for an alleged visit made in September 2023. We had cancelled their services due to the poor service provided. We were advised our lawn would improve from their treatment plan. Rubbish! We were also advised the treatment applied would not be harmful to pets or children subject to keeping both off the treated areas for 24 hours. On at least 2 occasions after the application of their treatment, our dog was very ill resulting in vets bills amounting to substantial amounts of money. I spoke to the franchisee and he shrugged his shoulders and commented, “ not my fault your dog should not have been allowed on the lawn” our dog did not go out onto the lawn on both occasions for at least 48 hours! We have disputed their final invoice due to there being no evidence they visited the property after we had cancelled. We gave them access via a gated code with a Keysafe number to allow entrance to our rear garden. The disputed invoice from 3 years ago amounted to £79.00! They have decided to proceed with a county court summons. To be honest, it’s a round of drinks, I can’t prove that I made the cancellation call as it was more than 3 years ago and I have since changed mobile provider.
Steer well clear of this company, there are far better lawn treatment companies in our local area. We use AMW lawn care for all of our requirements now, they offer a superb service. Unlike Topshit, Topgrass!!! Oh and by the way, they always quote" we are a family run business and customer service is important to us" perhaps Katie might take a look at a review from another of your dissatisfied customers dated Feb 21st 2023. Here Katie, you responded to an elderly couples concerns relating to a CCJ you issued against them. They were clearly very upset. According to Katie in her response " we don't do CCJs ! Well what a blatant lie that is. It just shows what a lying bunch your family run business really are!

Little disappointed with service from TopGrass. Initial visit very inspiring however, first visit was delayed due to not having a technician to treat my lawn. Then technician advised me not to walk on lawn only for another technician arrive 2 days later to aeration treatment. It would appear some treatments seem to be out of sync with weather/seasons - would not expect a Mid-Season treatment last week of September. I have cancelled contract

This company should not be trusted, killed parts of our lawn and still wants' paying, would offer no discount. we have not only been unhappy with the service but also the way which they have handled all of this it's been going on for over a year now. Would never recommend them they try to charge for things they never done as well, it a joke of a company avoid at all cost how they treat two disabled people is disgusting Thank you for your response, but I do not accept that it gives a complete or accurate account of what has happened.

In particular, your statement that my concerns were only brought to your attention through this Trustpilot review, 18 months after the treatment, is not correct.

This dispute existed well before I posted this review. I had already questioned the charges, disputed the account and offered to pay 50% of the £73.10 invoice in an attempt to resolve matters reasonably. I had also raised concerns about what had been done to the lawn.

My concern remains that three treatments were carried out on the same day in March 2025, following which areas of the lawn deteriorated and died. The lawn subsequently required remedial overseeding by another lawn-care company.

If TopGrass maintains that these concerns were never previously raised, I suggest you check your own telephone records, account notes, customer-service records and correspondence. I have now formally requested copies of those records, including any recordings or notes of telephone conversations.

I have also requested full details of the three treatments, including the products used, application rates, manufacturers' instructions, treatment records, the qualifications of the operative and calibration information for any knapsack sprayer used.

I am a farmer and have practical experience of grass and treatments. I therefore want to know precisely what was applied, at what rate, and why three treatments were considered appropriate during one visit.

I also questioned why I was being charged the full individual amount for each application when all three treatments were undertaken during the same attendance.

As for your reference to an Equality and Inclusion Policy, my criticism is not about whether TopGrass has a written policy. It concerns how this dispute has actually been handled.

This matter could have been resolved sensibly a long time ago. Instead, TopGrass has continued to pursue a disputed £73.10 invoice despite my earlier attempt to compromise.

I have retained the correspondence concerning this matter and am content for the documentary records and TopGrass's own telephone and account records to establish exactly when these issues were first raised.

Great service from Chris who has been looking after our lawn and bringing it back to life since we moved to Stotfold 2 years ago. Chris and Luke visited last week to scarify, aerate and reseed before the winter. They did a good job and although a hard and messy job they left it clean and tidy as always. Very friendly but professional service... thank you

I am very pleased with the TopGrass service. The technician that treats our lawn is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The lawn looks very good, especially compared with those of the houses on either side of our house! I find the company quick to answer questions, and it is easy to book a convenient date for the treatments.

Our lawn was patchy in lots of places and we was thinking about getting a new lawn laid instead we took out a plan with TopGrass and the results are fantastic the communication and advice they give is also great

Our small lawn has benefited massively over the past 18 months since starting the treatment plan with Top Grass.
It's the best it's ever looked, so green, despite our dog having free reign.
