I usually enjoy the ride in most of NI…

I usually enjoy the ride in most of NI on their blue buses, but some of the drivers on the bradshaw brea route to newtownards is sometimes treated as bus racecourse🤞truly scary driving at that speed, and some young drivers are not judging how wet the brea road is, it's another accident waiting to happen, the comfort of passengers is more important than some young driver getting his thrills on the corners of a wet hill, christ sake, slow up, passengers here seemed scared to complain, but I can see they are afraid even placating the driver at their expense, it's, 'an accident to waiting to happen'

This was one of the worst public…

This was one of the worst public transport experiences I have ever had. Belfast Translink has repeatedly failed to provide a reliable service, and passengers are left to deal with the consequences. On my journey, the bus did not even stop where it was supposed to, leaving passengers inconvenienced and disrupting travel plans.

What makes the situation even worse is the lack of communication and accountability when things go wrong. Passengers are often left without clear explanations, updates, or meaningful assistance. A transport provider’s basic responsibility is to get people where they need to go safely and reliably, and in my experience Belfast Translink failed to meet that standard.

The service is unreliable, frustrating, and shows a disappointing lack of consideration for customers who depend on it. For the money passengers pay, the level of service is simply unacceptable. Significant improvements are needed in reliability, communication, and customer care.

I would not recommend this service based on my experience.

We had a great experience with Steven… Newry very bad.

We had a great experience with Steven at Antrim. Very polite and great customer experience- thank you.

The complete opposite at Newry train station. An older female member of staff with blonde hair who is the epitome of rude customer relations and had customers reduced to tears. The wrong person for representing the normal positive experience when using Translink services.

Stranded After Work: Glider Service Failed Us

They announced there would be no public transport from 5 pm because of the protests, but the Glider stopped running at 3 pm and left people stranded after work. It really feels like this company doesn't care about its passengers.

Silly bus driver

On the 8th of Monday June between 16.00-16.30, on a side road. A translink bus has slowed down almost to a complete stop with no indicator at all then made a sudden right turn into a junction. I was the driver behind who already moved over to the right to overtake assuming it was just a bus stop. I was recklessly rushing; that part is all my fault. Thankfully no collision but i’d like to make a formal complaint that all drivers are reinforced to comply with basic traffic rules. It’s every driver’s negligence to not use indicators and especially so for big slow moving vehicles. That one bus is eventually going to cause a collision – just that it wasn’t me that day

awful company

awful company. Rural bus services are practically non existent and even in Belfast, buses show up late with sometimes the driver not giving a damn. We had to plan a journey to get our kids to school and no joke we spent HOURS trying to simply find a route as even timetables are ridiculously confusing with unnecessary exceptions and notes. Even after ringing translink up and asking staff in grand central station, everything seems so fussy and stupid. It feels far more complicated just to plan a simple journey. northern Ireland is a VERY car reliant country that desperately needs public transport funding.

Most unreliable service

Most unreliable service, train over an hour late without explanation, announcement or apology. At departing station (Coleraine) we were told it was "running late for some reason"!
Totally unprofessional and no idea about customer service.

Got 12.15from Bangor west bit of delay…

Got 12.15from Bangor west bit of delay and with 3youths got back on train when it got to Lanyon place longer delay 3 or 4 staff got on an it took a bit of time to remove them as I was going to work an mist my train to balmoral witch ment I was 15mins late for work there was no message given to inform passengers could really do with with more staff on train to help the other staff

Standing waiting 11e bus, 50mins, 2 buses went up crumlin road Belfast,then 1 bus finally came down,but not in service ,it's like this all the time, there needs to punishments for this sort of thing, standing freezing waiting on that are very rarely on time,and yet nothing gets done. Some inspectors need sacking they have no clue, chop n change services all the time for almost no reason, the they clear off, out of the way, absolutely rubbish service. And I never complain,but this is the last straw.

Broken links and impossible to follow…

Broken links and impossible to follow the logic of booking on this site, I have to use it occasionally for work and still missed a date change when asking for an earlier train. When I tried to use the ‘make change’ on my flexible ticket absolutely none of the links work. Horrendous user experience!

Translink may have a big new station…

Translink may have a big new station but the conductor was very very rude and unhelpfull. Arrived at the train at exact time and the conductor wouldn't let us on and was very rude. Even the trains in busy london will generally hold and let you on. If she had even said sorry i can't let you on but no just said get the next one. I have never complaned about thei late trains and cancellations but if this is how they conduct themselves they will go downhill fast. Need to teach there staff some people skills. And yes i know that was the leaving time but the company has simply lost its soul and humanity. So much for Irish kindness and hospitality

Do better Translink!

Was going to the Red Bull Soap Box race earlier and your G1 service was an absolute disaster.

Tried waiting on a Glider to arrive and there were two in a row absolutely full to the brim with people. I understand that services can be busy during this time of year, but this is just ridiculous.

Not only that, but your services on a Sunday are absolutely quite atrocious. 16 minutes just to wait on another bus to arrive? Absolute joke.

It’s funny how you encourage people to use public transport, yet you expect us to wait 10-20 mins for a bus. If I had a drivers license and a car, I would much rather just drive.

Hello

Hello, I came for Magherafelt 212 and it was lovely (btw I have taken it for a long time, approximately 3 years. 5/5*) but today I was getting a bus from Belfast to Newcastle at 12:10 (12/05/26) and the bus driver shouted at my friend. My friend is from Belfast and thought that that’s how it worked to go somewhere because the gliders are pay as you go on.
After that me and him walked on the bus and while waiting he shouted “here boys do you have grass on the bus” which I replied saying “no” and to that he said “are you sure cause since you came in so did the smell”, to that I replied “if you want you can check me, I don’t mind”. In his defence I could smell it to, and it was at the back of the bus, however he had no right to say that to me, but due to what happened my friend I was not happy that he had straight away accused me of doing drugs. He is not a nice bus driver and maybe he was having a bad day, but you don’t talk to someone like that.

Paul who drives the number 106 to Crumlin NI is genuinely the nicest driver. Always has a chat and smile everytime I get on - very patient as well for the older customer, thanks Paul.

6a going from city centre to Forestside…

6a going from city centre to Forestside has been late all week. I get it on the Cregagh Road, meant to come at about 8.48am, hasn't showed up, then guess what 2 buses have been coming together at 9 am. Never on time absolutely useless.

Had hospital appointment and went to Train station. Told by staff member the next train to Belfast IS CANCELLED? WHY, he shrugged his shoulders. Absolutely incompetent bunch. Exactly the same as Stormont. USELESS!
