Us Cellular's international plan phone…
Us Cellular's international plan phone plan is really bad. I took my Sim card out of my phone while in Honduras. They still charged my $15 per day and I got no phone calls. I also had a 2nd line on the same phone guess what $15 dollars per day but I was only about half the days. The customer service representative told me I didn't take my Sim card out even though My Sim card was in my suitcase in a baggies my room for the 12 days and not in my phone.

3 days in on the billing period I Payed everything off to lower my next bill. Absolutely no change still $265 even though everything was payed off. Looking into switching companies. Installment charges on something that is payed off. What about customer loyalty, Nice. Going to be cross posted so everyone can be aware. Guess there will be an update when I switch. Ripped Off
7 months ago I was planning an extended overseas trip and went to a US Cellular store to upgrade my plan to ensure that I could use my phone outside the US. They charged me an extra $100 per month on top of my regular plan of $76 for the entire time. I only sent 2 or 3 text messages and made 2 brief calls in the first 2 months and after that, I couldn't send or receive any texts or make any calls. I relied on web-based platforms using the wi-fi in the apartment. Upon return, I called and they said it was because of my data usage. WHAT? I was on wi-fi! How am I using data? So I didn't even get the benefits of my $76 regular monthly payments, let alone the 700 extra they gouged me for. Unbelievable! I have been a satisfied customer for years; I have even traveled outside the US countless times with no issues. Now I will switch carriers. If I could leave less than 1 star I certainly would. Take my advice, if you travel, look for a carrier other than US Cellular!
They suck
They suck! Always having internet issues! Gone though trouble steps, to no avail. Worse home internet I've ever had. Can't even watch a f***ing movie on my day off.
The worst service provider ever
US cellular customer service providers are subjecting me to hidden charges and are not cooperating to resolve the issue. The home internet is totally not working. What is funny is that they set hidden charges on the device, which costs $500 if you quit the services. The monthly bill is never consistent. Sometimes an unexpected amount of money is requested for unmatched services. Is there someone who can help with where to appeal and cancel the services without fees for the device? What would happen if I let them cancel and refuse paying for the device, as they are not providing the services as per the agreement? I am about to cancel both internet and phone services due to these issues. This is happened at Iowa city store. I compiled every document for any legal matters. I agree with everyone else. US Cellular is a SCAM company bordering on consumer FRAUD! If you cancel services with them in the middle of a billing cycle, they will NOT pro rate your next bill! This just happened to us and when I called and asked a "supervisor" about it, he said they changed their policy a couple of years ago and he hears this complaint all the time! That ought to tell you something! How can you charge a customer for services they are NOT getting? We ended up switching to T-Mobile and I for one am glad not to be a U.S. Cellular victim any longer after being with them over 20 years!

US cellular was the worst line i've experienced in my life and i will never and ever recommande a friend or a family member to go there.Extra charging with no reason.Your monthly charge will not be same.If you try to travel internationaly,they will kill you and justify themself with policies that they are the only who know them.So as advice don't try them look anywhere else

US Celluar is an scam with bill payments. I have two lines an mobile phone that's 49.99 an month and internet for 59.99 month. I'm getting charged an extra $20 for each line. Then getting charged an extra $40 every month for account level the total is Im paying $200 month. So do not get fooled about their prices and deals its an scam. This is ridiculous I'm finding an new carrier send asap.

Us cellular has the worst customer…
Us cellular has the worst customer service in the whole universe. They need more verbal communication with the consumer. They need to let you know if you are in contract and let you know what you are signing. And also let you know that are you are buying their router for the internet and also letting you know that you are paying all other fees that are involved. They need to let you know that there is a early determination fee on the internet router and how much it costs instead of keeping it to themselves and not letting the customer know anything without verbal communication what are we suppose to do. Thats why the customer gets upset with the Us cellular. Lacking communication with your customers. Employees need to better trained. Us cellular are dirty people and very underminded. Cooperate must teach managers to let employees know not to let the consumer know what other fees are involved. Very dirty company. As soon as my contract is up with them i will be changing companies. Blessings to all that like Us cellular I wish you the best with them. They are dirty crooks.

You say you can get a free phone but you can't unless you change your plan and spend more money
What happened to a good company?
Been with US Cellular since 1992, great service, excellent support, never lost calls, recommended them to everyone - even my company owned 60+ phones. Two or so years ago, we began dropping calls, on hold for 15 - 20 minutes to get assistance and even if you get persons name, no one ever seems to know them or will apologize that the "last" person misinformed us. Store in our small town was like going to the bar with untidy employees, slinging profanity to each other and too lazy to get off their chairs to help - could be why there were so many changes. Ultimately, US Cellular no longer paid for two towers near our house so no service whatsoever. Called to complain, given the runaround so finally called to find out what I owed on my phones and was told I could upgrade for $0 (lease was their way around a contract). I moved to another carrier and received a bill from USCellular that I owed almost $2000 for 2 phones that I was "leasing" after I was told $0 - whoops representative must have been mistaken.
When porting my phones, usually cell companies inform each other if there are balances before the porting - NOT US Cellular. Tried to compromise with them but to no avail - too bad, you just owe the bill. I will now feel free to call what a good company use to be is now - a sinking ship, untrustworthy, unreliable and downright misleading. SHAME on US Cellular!
This is the WORST service I have ever…
This is the WORST service I have ever been provided! I moved to US Cellular because it was supposed to be great and cheaper than my initial provider. The router was sent with absolutely NO set up instructions. When calling into their customer service, every time I requested IT support, I was routed to Finance. The routed me back to IT support and have 5 disconnection calls, I gave up. I set aside to send back. I learned they activated the service automatically, with out my knowledge. After being stuck with a bill for 2 months, I finally got someone on the phone to help set up the router. There were no instructions available online either. After 24 hours of service, I had every work call dropped due to "problems with network" my streaming devices buffered ever 30 second and I wasn't even able to get gif (smallest data requirement, through text messages when on wifi. When I called to cancel since the service did not work, I was told that I had to pay the full price for the device, even though they admitted the device was defective. My only option was to replace the device and be stuck with service that was not adequate for me to do my job. The refused under ANY circumstance to allow me to return the device and cancel, even though the service and device did not work. This is a total scam! What company forces people to pay for something they doesn't work!!!! Lack of integrity is an understatement Stay far far far away. Customer service also refused to escalate. I had to returned to the corporate office, in person.
Really bad internet
I am homebound and use a fire stick to stream and use the internet. Anyone who is home bound knows it is lonely and you need something or go crazy. Well I switched to us cellular's internet cause I was told it was so good. You only get a small amount of high speed and then they slow you down to a snail's pace for over a week of the month. It is not a good thing. I highly recommend you go elsewhere. Their's is not worth any amount of money. And to top it off if you are over 15 days on their equipment they charge you $340.20 to pay it off.
Faudulent Charges, poor customer service
Requiring payment for equipment they failed to support. Home internet service that had more unusable down time than operation. Tech Support that claimed the service area they approved in advance is now unobtainable and recommend seeking service elsewhere.
Misrepresentation
So, I changed my pre-paid plan at the Ellsworth, ME store to the Everyday Basic plan in late July 2023 and was assured by the store associate in Canada it would work for an upcoming trip to Canada. This plan is also listed on their website as working in Canada. I got to Canada and lo and behold, it didn't work! I was able to contact an associate who assured me for an extra $10, it would work. OK fine, and it did work. It seems there is deceptive advertising taking place here.

I check my bank statement daily. On 08/03/23 there were two ACH Transactions, one right after the other to US Cellular for $218.30. I immediately called customer service, I went back and forth with the Rep. He was talking in circles, up one way and down another. It was exasperating and confusing. He said it would be three weeks before they could send me a check. He said, "You might as well apply it to your next bill". I finally relented. I'm an old man. I'm recovering from a brain injury. It's easy for me to be confused. I live on Social Security. My budget is tight, to the penny. They were able to remove the $218.30 in seconds, but it would take 3 weeks to SEND a CHECK. In what world does this make sense?
