"pandemic components, even worse customer service"…

I bought this "pandemic components" phone through cellular. This is the 3rd Samsung I've owned and by far the most worthless phone I've ever owned. Day one this phone has connection issues with BT, WiFi etc. The screen can't handle processing photos, apps lock up, while in Portland or I had NO SERVICE for a week as it tried switching between 5g/4g. I can't listen to music without interruption, certain apps make it crash, and Mostly the Camera can't focus and I've missed important calls and zoom meetings because of this. I sent it in and had it back in a week with only a software upgrade. My S10 handle all of this flawlessly.
I'm taking this to the point where Samsung/US cellular are going to pay for the therapy and Physiatrist appointments I couldn't connect too.
I used to praise Samsung but now you've lost a large family of Samsung loyalists.
Why? Because you are not accountable to your customers. This is how you loose them.
Good luck with US cellulars 10 different billing reminders after the fact. They're rude and frankly don't care about you or if you can actually use your phone. 20+ years of cellphone usage and US cellular was the WORST experience I've ever had.
Stay away!!!!!

The cellular data service is spotty at…

The cellular data service is spotty at best and I made my first payment and it never actually went to my account they lost my $100 payment and threatened to suspend my service because THEY screwed up! I had better service with TextNow, and it only cost me $1 if I wanted their premium service, but their basic plan is free. I seriously would NOT recommend U.S. Cellular if they were the last company on planet Earth

no support for extreme problems.

I rarely have any trouble with my phones with US Cellular. but when I do they have limited methods to get help. particularly if your phones are not working there is no way to contact them to get any assistance. [ the 'chat' button on the web site does not work ] as such having a minimal support system is like no support at all. I have no way to contact them because my phone is broken and I need to call them to get my phone fixed. I could go to the store but I should not have to and right now I cannot make that trip.

Terrible Company Terrible service

after 6 years of using this company's service, I'm more than ready to move out, you can get better services with Verizon for half of the price, customer service is at the bottom of all the companies I had to deal with it there only interest is to sell you the most expensive cellphone they have. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all cost.

Absolute garbage

Absolute garbage. I'm paying for a device and a service that is unusable. Installed the US cellular Inseego router in a vacation home and it worked the day I installed it. Just as I passed the 15 day trial period the download speeds dropped to .3 Mbps. I have called and called and they tell me there is nothing they can do. Now I am paying for a service that I can't use and am stuck with it. The router has 2 bars and I get upload speeds of about 3 to 4 Mbps. The service is terrible and the customer service is even worse. I am forced to use my Verizon phone's hot spot which works amazing but is li.it3d to 50 gb per month. Get your act together US Cellular.

I've been with US Cellular for almost 20 yrs. Until recently they have always stood to their word with conversations concerning my monthly rates. I have reduced the number of lines, and it seems as though they have an amount they want to charge me monthly, and my bill is going to stay the same regardless of any changes. My service is horrible. and I have a problem dropping calls. As soon as my overpriced phone finally gets paid for, my ability to call gets worse. I have a couple more payments on my phone, and when its paid for, I'm changing carriers !

Avoid! Horrible Customer Service

This has been an ongoing issue. I changed to US Cellular to get a better rate on phone service. I started out on a plan with a hotspot. I got the hotspot because the store recommended it as an alternative to having full internet (I was unemployed at the time). They said I could stream movies. Nope. You can't. All it did was allow me to use my home computer to job search. I was also told I could set up auto pay, but neglected to tell me not with a credit card. If you use a credit card, you incur credit card fees. It has to be on a debit card. Then I changed my plan to the prepaid service. When I did that, I was told I did NOT owe anything on the old plan. Now I am fighting with US Cellular over that very fact. Regardless of the fact that I called customer service several times and was told 'everything looked fine' and I didn't owe anything to them, US Cellular sent me to collections. I went to the BBB to open a dialogue with US Cellular. They sent me a printed bill that had DO NOT PAY printed on it, then claimed I stated I COULD NOT pay a printed bill. This is bullshite. Now I have to go to a US Cellular store to try and pay a bill no one in customer service can find. The only good thing I can say is that US Cellular did pull that old account from collections to give me a chance to pay the bill. Just don't bother with them. If you have any issues, it will take literally months to resolve and US Cellular will find a way to charge you for their mistakes.

Edit: It's been a month since this review and still no cooperation from this company. Got the run around saying it takes 3 months for autopay to kick in. When I did that chat thing on their site I was told it would kick in for sure this month. Well guess what!!! It has NOT. Now they are saying to check tomorrow.... this is ridiculous.
I started service for my daughter in March. I went in because the sign outside said 29.99. In April I started service for me. I then notice I’m being charged still for 39.99. So now being a month later….still 39.99 and I’m now getting a bill for $208 and change. So I went in and asked. We called billing. And the person on the other end said we have to wait for autopay to kick in. It’s been 3 months. I started autopay for my daughter and still nothing. It is their way of scamming ppl. And on top of that….I was not told of this, nor of any fees and the reasoning behind their delay for autopay. And Activation fee was also never mentioned. I am not a happy customer. And I should have listened to my friends and neighbors. And cell coverage sucks. I have no coverage at all in my house, where straight talk I did. Why did I leave ST?? I was stupid.

I pay these clowns US cellular a1599 a month for insurance they can't never seem to help you out to hang up the phone and act rude disrespectful the insurance company says you need to act after David like your criminal to get a phone set back out so buyer beware stay away from you I saw your when not recommend I give them a -100 if I could I can't help but I have tremors I tried to get the right thing done I tried to pay out of pocket and others saying oh you gotta go through the afternoon why don't you activate yourself out of business so that's the way you want to do business you don't want to help your customers then that's fine you have to not be in business

I continue to be an ignored customer

I am a customer, having subscribed to their Home Phone 2 years+ ago. Their service is unreliable as it goes out of service regularly here in Garret County MD. It s a wireless based service.. voice only.. to compete with traditional land line service provided by local telco. It is out of service now for 3 days and counting, several inquiries with US Cellular have been futile. This morning, at their local store, I inquired and was told they do not know when or if the service will be restored which is same response I received when filing a trouble order with their national customer support tea. the day before. The home phone service is vital many like me living in a predominantly rural area, it should be more reliable and when in a state of repair should update it's subscriber base routinely... they have no commitment to this customer base.

This is the very worst customer service on the planet. Pay 800 bucks for a phone an have it on their half ass service. They still refuse to unlock pos phone so I can get one that works. Boost would be better service than this. Us cellular ain't even American speaking. They can't understand cause no English in combination. I would fecomend a Walmart service before this joke of a service. Don't get it. It's a trap. You are nothing but money to these greedy Chinese speaking freeloaders.

Poor coverage

Poor coverage. Always throttling back my data. They set up my cloud for me and didn’t include my photos so when my phone was lost I lost 2000 photos. Didn’t work right on vacation to Costa Rica when others phones worked. Customer for over 20 years and fed up.

The run around with customer service

The run around with customer service! Can't get through to manager. Service was set up incorrectly with store clerk. Somehow connected an old address of my Mother's and didn't set up auto pay so paper bill went to really old address, which makes no sense since I set up service with new DL & correct address. Have been trying to connect and when finally get rep the "supervisor has already declined" $ back to what shouldn't have been charged originally. So disappointed. Had great service with Sprint, had to switch when merge with T Mobile happened.

Service gets worser every month.
Been a customer off and on for 10 years cause they’re the only ones who get reception at my house and I live in town. Neighbors have same issues so not the phone,
It works good for few months then services start slowing down after that. Internet don’t load right call’s don’t ring. Even the phones themselves stop taking a charge.
My iPhone is 6 months old and it’s freezing and glitching out already.
I only do prepaid cause I know their workers are worthless at anything but taking ur money.
I also think it’s stupid I gotta show ID to pay bill like Y would I care if someone paid my bill?
Also I notice when I leave area I can’t get cell service so how’s that

Even cheap azz tracfone allows that.
Guess this is the new normal to be constantly buying junk only to replace it several months later

International plan sucks

We added an international plan to allow us to access the internet and at least contact each other while in europe. Ninety percent of the time we were unable to access ce service exceot in a rate occasion or when we were connected to wifi. We then get a bill for over 200 dollars more than what we were expecting because they claim we went over our usage. We never received a notification that we were out of data on the plan we wasted 35 per line on until we got back into the US, at the end of our trip. DON'T BUY THE MONTHLY INTERNATIONAL PLAN! IT WILL NOT BE ENOUGH FOR YOUR DATA.THEY ONLY OFFERED US A 75 COURTESY CREDIT. NOT ENOUGH.

I've used a Trac phone for 12 years. Overall I was very happy. I was having service issues when I traveled away. I switched to us cellular and now I get even worse service locally!!! Disgusted!

Taking advantage of older folks, robbing people on the price of accessories!

My parents had been with this company for a very long time. Recently they were forced to upgrade to the 4g-5g service which ment new phones. First off I want to add no one told them this. They did not receive warning ahead of time which could have ment they would have lost phone service and not known why and had no way to call out. I have been trying to help them save money on bills so I took over. They were offered FREE new phones. Mind you my dad had a flip phone, he's never touched a computer in his life. They went into the local store in Clearlake CA and were given the Samsung Galaxy a14. On top of that what was supposed to be FREE phones ended with my parents being charged and talked into $200 worth of accessories they didn't need and signed up for device protection with a reoccurring monthly charge for 2 phones. Let me say, these phones didn't come with complete chargers, they were charged for 2 wall plugs @19.99, they were charged $50 each for phone cases! $50, each! You can get phones cases online for $10-15. Cords with the plug for the same price. The monthly charge that they had no idea about when asked was $14.99 on top of their monthly phone service. I feel like the employee saw 2 older folks, one with a flip phone and saw a way to make some money. I was beyond upset and promptly started looking for another carrier and new phones. The ones they were given were too complicated my dad could barely answer the phone. I was even having trouble with some aspects. We finally got them set up with Lively. They offer very user friendly smartphones for seniors called the Jitterbug 3. Very easy to read, easy instructions and my dad even sent his first text message! Overall I am very disappointed in US Cellular for taking advantage of older folks and the employees should let people know they can save money on accessories online. $50 for a phone case is robbery. Please be diligent if you are helping your older family members, phone companies are out to make a quick buck off them.

So unprofessional talked to 3 different agent that told me about the same promotion I could have ordered it online I think but I chose to go instore when I got to the store they looked at me like I was crazy but it was in the notes so they scrambled around on and out the back room on in off the phone after about a hour in a half they were like alls we can do is give u 400 off a phone have u that I was told I qualified for up to 1200 off a phone needless to say I left the place upset then what ever they put on the notes the next couple times I called customer service they were rude and un able to give me a straight awnser in trying to get someone from corporate on the phone forget about it u can't find a number email nothing to help me out bottom line I wasted about 6 hours of my life for a unappreciated company its no wonder they lost 50k customers in 2 months me in my family got 5 lines with them not any more about to go to Verizon... don't go to uscellular they do not value there customers

We have paid more in one month for cell phone service that is crap (calls always dropped or just searching for service everywhere) then all our bills added up together!! What a joke this phone company is there marketing strategy should be “we sell lies for your hard earned money” the manager in the store promised us a promotion playbook that was $82 a month and for three months it has been over $700 and 2 months over $500 we have called and called been put on hold had our service disconnected the reconnect for a day just to have it turned back off then we were told to just pay it one more month then it will be taken down to $363 for one month then $232 following… why would we believe that when all we have been told is LIES ! Do NOT USE THIS PHONE SERVICE
