POOR SERVICE

I have been having problems with there service since oct. they advised it was my Iphone so I took it apple and they advised it wasn't ,it was U.S.CELL service. my wife S10 is losing service and telling her she can only make 911 calls.

No good in Cherokee NC

So I live in an area that is apparently a challenge for home internet providers. Well, US Cellular moved in our area and I decided to give it a try...mistake!!! First off they sold me a 5G router with no 5G in sight btw it cost in excessive of 500 then when I kept on having troubles they inform I...I have the wrong router because yaknow I just insisted on paying on a 500+ router. So they graciously allow me to return it and get a 4G which didn't work the first 2 weeks. So they said they would send me a return label for my 5G router...still haven't received it after numerous call and the 4G on and off again router is a pain as well. Now I'm paying 105.00 per month plus the broadband help program is paying 50 a month and I'm setting here watching DVDs..old ones..there was one relief...I didn't let them talk me into their crappy phone service...I knew better my
son have their phone service and when he visits me he has to use my phone if my home internet isn't working which it usually isn't.

I've been a customer for 15+ years with…

I've been a customer for 15+ years with US Cellular and have had ups and downs over that time. This year I have yet to receive a bill that matches my plan agreement. Inflated charges that make little sense and zero help from customer service. My last contact with "customer retention" resulted in ridecule from the rep.and the repeated mantra "read your bill". It doesn't matter if the bill is wrong. I paid my bill on Nov. 11. I paid in full. On December. 10 my bill was $110 more than contract. I was told it was an unpaid balance from a earlier statement. The BS is over. Hello Verizon.

THEFT

My prepaid plan that's automatically paid on the 26th was shut off yesterday (5)for nonpayment. They said it was an internal error and it could take 24-48 hrs to get my service back AND I may not have my same number. Theft! Take my money and turn off my phone....THEFT!

Ripoff and they won't unlock phone I now own

US CELLulAR sold me a phone with package. I requested lowest cost no frills plan and this is not what I was given.

So two months in, I switched the phone to Verizon.Except the phone remained locked by USCELLULAR.I returned to the same store on South Willow Street in Manchester NH and spent $740 to pay off the stupid phone, but they refused to give me any kind of receipt- 1.5 hours while the salesperson tried to deal with US Cellular help desk- and the phone was still not unlocked. They promised it would be unlocked within 24 hours- it was not.

2 days later I called USCELLULAR customer service, they promised the phone would now be unlocked- it was not. I own the phone, I have service with Verizon I am paying for, and yet I cannot use the phone because US CELLULAR doesn't know what they are doing, or are just being spiteful.

Customer Since 2008

Customer Since 2008. I have had several bad experiences, but I mean there customer service is good, but the service connections and poor signal is sad. I only keep the service because I have been with them since 2008 and don't want to change services.

Sad Ending with US Cellular after 10 years of loyalty

I was with US Cellular for over 10 years.I switched providers for cheaper service.I left with a $0 balance.US Cell turned me into Jefferson Collections One month after I left .I made sure I was paid in full before ending my service.US Cell didn't even send me the fake bill of $161.00 they immediately turned me into collections and now my credit score dropped 34 points.US Cell won't help me in any way because they sold my account to Jefferson Capital Collections and Now Jefferson is saying I have a second account that never did exist. I feel I am being punished for leaving after never missing one payment in 10 years.

The company has execrable customer…

The company has execrable customer service, and indecipherable bills. I set up my account for autopay when I began, but each and every month, first, something goes wrong, and they wind up charging me penalties for nonpayment, and then instead of providing a single bill so you know what you're paying, they have some kind of rebate, but that doesn't show up for two months later, making it virtually impossible to know what you're being billed.

So far, after only 4 months of service, I appear to be already overcharged by more than $100.

I do not know how they keep customers.

U.S. Cellular home internet with D-Link.

The cell service isn't awful, but far from great. What is very, very, very poor is their home internet using D-Link. The service is dropped every 30 minutes or so. It's necessary to unplug the unit and plug it back in so that it reboots, which takes several minutes. Tried to return the router to UScellular, but they said it wasn't their problem and they wouldn't even exchange the unit. We tried repeatedly to contact D-Link, but in a year never got a response. Do not, I repeat do not lease a home internet service through USCelular. It's not expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.

I'd give lower but there isn't an option for it. Been using it since well before covid started and had issues with connection even then. So don't even get to use the unlimited data that is paid for consistently enough for it to matter.

Poor Customer Service and No Inventory Management

I was trying to get a wireless modem for my lake house in Maine. I could not get one locally as the local stores said they didn't have any. I could not order on line because I did not live where the modem was to be shipped. I called Executive Appeals and spoke with Patrick Foster who apparently reports to the CEO. He was horrible; condescending, officious and generally unfriendly. He clearly enjoyed telling me no. He made no effort to find a solution to the problem like shipping a modem to the store in Brewer, Maine. Ultimately, my nephew went to the Brewer Maine store I had called 3 times only to discover they had a modem in the store the whole time. They seem to have no idea where their inventory is and they have no focus on customer service.

FOR THE RECORD I'M NOT YELLING I JUST WANT MANY TO READ MY REVIEW. I JUST CALLED U.S. CELLULAR AND I WAS ADVISED BY A RECORDING I HAD 29 MINUTES TO WAIT BEFORE I WOULD SPEAK TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE REP.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! UNACCEPTABLE AND MEMBERS OF CORPORATE MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED OF THIS. FOR MANY YEARS (I'VE BEEN WITH U.S. CELLULAR FOR 22 YEARS) U.S. CELLULAR LIKED TO THINK THEY HAD TOP CUSTOMER SERVICE. I CAN SAY MANY YEARS AGO THEY DID, HOWEVER THEY'VE ADAPTED TO BLEND IN AND BE LIKE JUST ANOTHER CELLULAR COMPANY. THEY USE TO ALLOW TWO FREE NUMBER CHANGES A YEAR AND THEY USE TO VALUE A CUSTOMER'S TIME ENOUGH NOT TO EXPECT THEM TO HOLD ON THE PHONE 29 MINUTES BEFORE SPEAKING TO SOMEONE. IT'S SAD TO SAY BUT I WILL SAY I HAVE NO MORE INCENTIVE TO STAY WITH U.S. CELLULAR. ESPECIALLY SINCE NOW IN THIS MIDWEST AREA VERIZON'S SERVICE RELIABILITY HAS GOTTEN MUCH BETTER FROM YEARS AGO. YOU ALL DECIDE THE COMPANY YOU WANT TO BE WITH, HOWEVER FOR NEW CUSTOMERS I WOULD SAY EVEN GETTING A FREE PHONE DOESN'T MAKE UP FOR U. S. CELLULAR'S SERVICE. I am so disappointed in my service and…

I am so disappointed in my service and my phone. I have had nothing but problems since I got the service, I cannot access my voicemail or visual voicemail which is an option I should have on my samsung s8 plus.. I have called customer service repeatedly and one time while on hold they hung up on me, I called four times in one hour and no help. I get an error message when I try to get online and cant download text messages. I cant even get online consistently. Very disappointed.

Stay away from any and all “contracts or plans” w this company.

Company has okay service and okay phones. Good reps in person in my suburban white class area. However, phone customer service has gone 0/8 on speaking English correctly on all 8 of my calls. I had two lines open, one of which was my daughter’s moms who got into an argument w me two months ago and she threw her phone away and got a new phone through her moms service.

So I call to cancel the phone and the service as we had split up and just needed my one line. Errrr pump the breaks. Not as simple as that. Her phone was physically in the trash two months before I had called in bc I hadn’t been able to speak to her, so I paid for four months of her phone lease and four months of service (about $625) for a phone that made 0 calls and 0 texts and 0 kB of data after I called to cancel it two months ago, yet I was still charged for four months of service and six months of the monthly payment to pay the phone off itself, in addition to my $110 a month for my phone and service....you’d think they’d level with you and I’d rightfully pay the physical phone off for whatever I owed, but four months of service when there were 0 calls 0 texts and 0 kb of data used on the other line, still charged me well over $400 for just the service alone that didn’t even make one “.” Text message in the 5 month span??? Insane, when contract is up will he going elsewhere.

Us cellular cannot be trusted at all!- for good services! Don't believe any of their TV commercials!- its all nothing but lies! Their signal is not Good everywhere! Its not even good inside your home!- I know by my experience! Their WiFi signal is terrible! And its not super fast like they claim!- its too slow!! Its never fast! And goes in and out like a switch!- everyday!- its ridiculous! And never try their automated monthly refill of your phone services by them from your debit card!- they are bad at that too! And will take it out of your debit card account while your asleep in the middle of the night!- without your knowledge!- until u get up! And find out they already took it! But its sneaky! And like a snake! To do that when u are not aware if it!- and their customer services stink too!- until I had enough!- once they took my money and still suspended my services!- that was it!- the last straw! And for that I demanded a refund!- and canceled my account with them- for good! The only positive about them!- was when they gave me my money back! Don't ever deal with this company!- us cellular are one of the worst cellphone services ever! There's better!- like Verizon!- and net 10!- boost mobile!- Im so glad i left them! peace!

Typical huge corporation - only care about your money in their pockets.

I've used US Cellular for years and used to think the cost was acceptable. Until I got dinged the second time with "overages" that didn't happen. They not only can't tell when their own machines are over-charging, but they also never consider your average use when they suddenly have a spike. So: in a couple of days, I supposedly had gone through more than I would use in three months, was billed a couple hundred bucks, *and* didn't find out until I couldn't get access and had to contact their customer support. Then I had to wait nearly a week for them to "discover" that it was "my fault."

Apparently they like churn, where customers get upset and leave.

Well, the joke's on them. I found out that an Android on Tracfone can cost the same that I was being charged by US Cellular when using your phone as a hot spot. Same quality service. Plus you keep the data you pay for that's left over from month to month. There is an app on the phone that tells you how much you have left. (US Cellular has "no contract" agreements, but you have to pay by the month - which is actually a contract.) Trac-fone is 3-months at a time and you have a choice of how little you want to pay...

Goodbye forever, US Cellular. And yes, I'll tell everyone I know how horrible your service is. Forever.

(PS. Your ads are fake. But you've had my money to pay for them...)
