US Cellular Phones

US. Cellular service is expensive but it works well. The issue here is they are a third party vendor for cell phones. They sell them and provide support. However, when it's a warranty situation you have to deal with manufacturer. In this case Google. When contacting Google I was informed that because it was sold by 3rd party retailer it is not covered under warranty. 1 year from date of purchase all phones are under warranty according to US Cellular but they won't support you. They tell you place an insurance claim. Then you have to pay a $200 deductible to get a defective phone warranty. This is wrong in so many ways. Leading up to this it was 3 calls to us cellular at least 30 minutes per call. Then several calls to Google to resolve what should be warranty issue. This was over a 5 day window of time. Consider these devices are necessary these days for personal stuff and life. Our lives stop because of this.

My advice after talking with the phone manufacturer is to never buy a cell phone via the cell service ever. Buy the phone direct from manufacturer. Then you have warranty and professional support. US Cellular needs to be sure for false representation of warranty claims. They need a separate lawsuit for insurance fraud for warranty claims.

Absolutely worst company ever

Absolutely worst company ever. How I have stayed for over 10 years is beyond me. They will lie to get you in the store, lied about the services I would receive, want me to pay $210 for internet service that was absolute garbage after my son downloaded just one game, etc.asked to speak to a manager and never got a call back. Cancelled everything. Just ridiculous how they scam hard working loyal customers. I do not recommend this company to anyone ever.

I have a lot to complain about but…

I have a lot to complain about but seeing how everybody else is having the same terrible issues I'm not going to waste my time. US Cellular has a 15-day return policy. I purchased home and phone service. The home service wouldn't work so it returned both of them within the 15 days. A month later I got a $300 bill. I called they explained all the details of the bill which doesn't matter to me because I didn't even use the service. They don't care. Why do they all have to be crooks?

Worst customer service!
Our phone bill should be the same or pretty close every month and never is... outrageously expensive!
Im very disappointed and can't wail for my contract to come to an end! Save your money and get a pre paid service. I wish I would have.

they can't give you a date something…

they can't give you a date something will be ready they don't communicate with Apple to find out when and how much supply is coming in or other companies this is very hurtful to the costumers even if we haven't paid for the product, they need to call and keep calling until there is an answer and i hate it when they said it would be here in 24 to 48 hours when the store its self says nope we dont have anything in stock there needs to be better and more communication with outside recourse's so costumers feel like they're not being scammed they should have this reflect in the ordering proses online and to costumers it's not that hard to call outside rescores and bug them so the costumers are happy if we owed you money you would be up our butts wanting this it really bugs me a lot5 fix this please

My experience at US Cellular

I am intelligent and educated black man. I worked here for over two years, and tolerated discrimination from my boss. Making discriminatory remarks regarding African Americans is totally unacceptable behavior. I went to HR with the matter, and they covered the matter up. I quit with my dignity and pride.

Do not train their employees or take responsibility

Was told by an employee that I would only be charged for the time used when canceling and that I could cancel anytime and wouldn’t be charged for unused time. Come a month and a half later I get a bill that UsCellular is charging me for the whole month. Upon speaking to the higher up people they said their employee was wrong and because he made 38 texts (doesn’t matter if it’s only 1 week we had our numbers connected) we were expected to pay then entire month bill of $122. When I asked if they would price adjust it as we trusted their employees to be properly trained on policy, they said no. They clearly do not care about their costumers so we will definitely not be back and I will continue writing reviews.

I've been a customer for a bit

I've been a customer for a bit. Always kept my pay arrangements. Now, no one responds to my emails, and the one reply I got was really snotty and rude. They don't care whether I keep service or not. I got no help or suggestions at all, and I wasn't given the option for pay arrangements.

To refund or not to refund...

I paid my monthly bill only to find they credited another number. I was told that they were issuing me a refund but it would take about a month. The month comes and goes, no refund. I call and was told they don't do refunds. Then the story changed to the refund was denied. Customer service agents were short and unapologetic offering no relief and now my phone is off. Wouldn't offer ANYTHING to compensate me. Feel very used as a customer.

Why not make a "negative stars" category? It's pure misery dealing with them

There are other telecommunication companies I can deal with, but our numbers can't be ported, so I keep on staying with them. And, in my particular rural area, they have better reception than some of the others. That said, their customer service could not be worse. I cannot recall the number of times they've just been simply dishonest. "go on auto pay and we'll give you a $5 discount each and every month. It will take two months to activate." Six months later we learn there is no such plan. "This will cost you only six dollars in total!" (actual verbatim quote even after I pushed them and said, "ONE TIME "ONLY six dollars? Right"
wo which I got, "right, onetime $6" Two months later we find out, "oh no, you misunderstood, it is a recurring charge." Why lie to people? They know they have me cornered. I feel like I can't escape without LOTS of inconvenience. The quality of their phones is not up to par and just don't complain, go ahead and bite the bullet and buy another one each time it goes bad. I've never had BO problem in my life, but when I've spent a couple of hours with them on the phone, (and everything will take at least about 2 hours, minimum) I need a shower and deodorant. It's not just me, every person I know who uses them as their carrier seems to have "worse stories than mine" (sigh!) I just give up and consider it a necessary evil and hope one day I can get my things in order enough to change our numbers with everyone we know and deal with, so we can go elsewhere. That will be a day of joy for me. If you deal with them, you already know my story. If you don't, you have been warned.

They need a ZERO stars!!

They need a ZERO stars!!! OMG I tried to order a phone the other day after being on infinite hold. He said call back when you're ready. On infinate hold AGAIN today then stupid rep. said she needed to verify me. I asked her PLEASE let me get code on the text and PLEASE PLEASE call me right back!!! SHE NEVER CALLED!! Then I called again later on hold 45 minutes!!!Then they switched me on another fricking hold~~~I had to hang up and that guy never got me manager or supervisor and took 45 min to never do what was needed and NOW as I type this I'm on ANOTHER HOLD 30 minutes!!!!and counting. OMG they do not know what they are doing nor care. These reps never see you and could give a dam nor are properly trained. SOB's I'm on til bedtime!!! What supreme aggravation!!! THEY SUCK HUGE. Use another carrier if you can. Guy in store was rude also and they never transferred data correctly. They did 2 of the same for every contact. STUPID and HASSLE. Give a dam about your time. Lost at least 3 hours of time so far. Replacement phone also CRAP. Didn't work and tons of tech issues and falling apart TCL.

I canceled my subscription with them…

I canceled my subscription with them because they told me i was approved for 2 government credits and my bill would be 15$ a month with a tax fee they continued to mess up every month i had paid 2 months in advance and then they told me i was ot approved for both credits they said they could not give the refund without card info to put the money back on the card. i was sick for a while so i finaly called them and gave them the info they said it would go back on my card i wanted a week called them again and they said oh no that was a credit they gave me and will not give me my money , they suck they lie

got a hotspot plan and the hotspot never worked properly. They would not take the hotspot back and made us pay $300 for the device upon cancellation. Also, they charged us for data that was NEVER used. This is thievery and a rip off!

We have been US Cellular customers since 1997. There is no way I want to give them 1 star I would like to give them a minus 10. Their CS is lousy, I would like to call and talk to a person who speaks English!! I should not have to try to understand them to get help with my bill!! I think the CS people do not know how to find the problem of my bill being overcharged, They pass me off to someone who wants me to change my plan. I do not want a new plan I want to know what the bogus charges are for. I am about to change to a new cellular company. And I will bet US.Cellular could care less. They need CS Support that we can understand and have knowledge of the monthly statements. And I bet I will not hear from U.S. Cellular about my complaint!!

This is the worse company I have ever had to deal with. My bill was always different, and it seemed like it was always in the company's favor, Customer service always gave me a different reason, and never fixed it.It is all about the money with them!

Have had this service my entire life…

Have had this service my entire life and it has been better but it's relatively decent service, just seems with 5G the technology is not as good as it should be, my 5G runs at 4G speeds or less most of the time. Even with the S22 ultra that I pre-ordered, which also took a month after the release date to get.

been with company 20 years they shut my phone off for 85 cents. No notice but my bill wasn't due till the 19, no reason y they couldn't just add it to my bill . No reason to treat a long time customer like this !I think I better look for a different service. thank you anita

Just watched under cover boss

Just watched under cover boss! I was in tears 😭 OMG! The heart of the CEO for his employees is priceless! I would work for a company where the CEO is so concerned that he’s willing to become a part of the team! His role as CEO doesn’t make him think he’s above any task. It’s important for the leaders to know every facet of the company they’re running; knowing what goes into performing each role and task so that each employee is valued and appreciated.

This was Awesome to watch!
