We have banked with Barclays for the last 35 years ..we were very reluctant to change Banks..having had United Trust Bank..recommended to us ..by a good friend who has banked with UTB..for a number of years we decided to invest .

I had problems entering and saving the…
I had problems entering and saving the info into the form on your website, possibly due to unstable wifi at my end, but the site’s pages took ages to load. Then after I sent the form I couldn’t get back into it to check it had all the info I’d tried to enter. Some info turned out to be missing so someone emailed me a form to provide the info. As we just use Gmail, which isn’t very secure, I was reluctant to email back a completed form with sensitive personal info about a Trustee. UTB needs a secure portal for submitting sensitive personal data. In the end, I provided the info by telephone, but as ‘all our calls are recorded’ I had to ask if the recording would be deleted as soon as the info was entered on the system

After a glitch in opening an account …
After a glitch in opening an account a staff member intervened and asked us how we wanted to proceed - and then made personally sure we got what we asked for. She really owned the problem and fixed it. UTB has a great user interface, and on the only occasion it didn't work for us staff intervened - without us having to call and complain!

Helpful advisor but problem with online withdrawal.
Helpful advisor who resolved my immediate problem of being unable to make a withdrawal by initiating it for me.
However, I don’t know if the problem of not being able to make a withdrawal myself has been resolved.
