My experience with Allegiant was extremely disappointing. I arrived early and waited in line well before my flight, only to be told at the last minute that boarding had already ended. The staff provided very little assistance and seemed unwilling to help find a solution. I was left scrambling and ended up having to spend hundreds of dollars on another flight because of the situation. To make matters worse, I was given confusing information regarding my refund and only received a partial refund when I was led to believe I would receive more. The customer service and overall communication throughout this experience were frustrating and stressful. I expected much better treatment and support as a customer.

Don't book with them!

Our experience with Allegiant was absolutely terrible due to the lack of communication, customer service, and transparency.

A group of us were traveling from Dallas back to Pittsburgh on what was supposed to be an 8:00 AM flight. The flight was initially delayed by 30 minutes, but throughout the day we were repeatedly given small delay updates and strung along for 16 hours before finally departing. Had we been given honest information from the beginning, many of us could have made alternative travel arrangements.

What made the situation even more frustrating was the conflicting information we received. The gate agents blamed weather, while representatives on the phone cited staffing issues. No one seemed to know what was actually happening, and the inconsistent explanations made it feel as though passengers were being misled rather than informed.

After spending approximately eight hours in the airport, Allegiant provided food vouchers. However, the restaurant we selected did not accept them, despite a desk agent assuring us they could be used anywhere. By that point we were exhausted, hungry, and had already eaten, leaving us no choice but to pay out of pocket.

We understand that delays happen and that circumstances can arise that are beyond an airline's control. However, clear communication, accurate information, and a reasonable plan for affected passengers go a long way. Instead, we were met with confusion, conflicting stories, and very little meaningful assistance.

Spending nearly a full day stranded in an airport with no clear answers is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Allegiant to anyone. The delay itself was frustrating, but the lack of honesty, accountability, and customer care made the situation far worse.

We paid for the bundle to get assigned…

We paid for the bundle to get assigned seats. We had those seats when we checked in online for boarding. The allegiant staff did not ask us to move seats. They made us. When I told them we paid for certain seats the flight attendant rudely said "enough is enough" and made us move. They are refusing to refund me the amount we paid for the bundle to get assigned seats.

What a terrible airline

What a terrible airline. Waiting 3 hours now for a form of paperwork from maintenance. Airplane is dirty. Staff is rude. DASANI WATER. If you are looking to fly cheap look elsewhere. Prior to this ordeal, I had my seat “moved” yet they never reassigned me a seat, after waiting on hold with customer service for 3 hours to get an actual seat (that mind you I already paid for) I spoke with them for 30 seconds to get placed on hold for 30 more minutes, to then finally having my seat given back to me. 70 dollars for a carry on bag! Dont think about putting your carry on in the overhead storage unless you paid for it! You would think they are running a military organization in charge of enforcing overhead storage with the way these nasty flight attendants speak.

Disgusting

Real simple - close friend, with her family - two daughters and mother - were flying home from Florida. Before she boarded her flight she inadvertantly bit her tongue causing her to bleed.

Allegient refused to allow her to boared and refused to give her, and her family, a refund of her return fares because she didn't have a damn medical report?? They could see what the problem was but completely disregarded the obvious in favor (apparently) of their self serving greedy policies. I reiterate - THEY refuse to allow her to board for her flight. It was thieur selfish apathetic decision, not my friends.

Because of allegeints apathetic attitude she had to book her eturn flight with Jet Blue who treated her and her family with respect and courtesy UNLIKE the other mob.

I would never fly with this mob ever and would never recommend them to anyone if they want reliable courtious and respectful service.

Good Airline

The Flight was good the Staff on the plane was nice, I would say this airline is a gas station airline. The reason I say that is they have things that you would find at the gas station. Like nerds, kit kits etc.. the only negatives I have is their is in IFE but that is expected with budget airlines and the tray table is smaller then my phone. But it is a great airline.

Only because I cant leave a zero

Only because I cant leave a zero. They canceled my return flight 3 hours before my flight. Fun facts: if there is only 1 flight such as the one I had in destin. You're screwed. 2, dont book your rental car through them along with your flight. When I received the cancel text, I tried to call customer service, only to be told its an approximate 2hr wait time to talk to someone. I tried to change my rental car return through the app, but the app wont let me change anything because my car and flight were booked together so I had to talk to someone in customer service. So I called alamo, just to talk to someone in India or wherever, to be told he cant change me car details and I had to call allegiant customer service. So I call allegiant again, yep...2 hr wait time. End result, I drove back to alomo, returned car and had to purchase a 1 way destination back home. $278 and a 12hr drive later. I made it home. I have 1 more flight scheduled with them. After that, never again. Customer service is flat out nonexistent

Lost iPad. They never looked for it

I lost my iPad on the plane. I submitted a ticket to find it back in July when I realized I didn’t have it. On my way home I stopped at the Allegiant counter and no one was there. I havent received any email saying you’re trying to look for it. I called back around August to find out what’s going on. This is a $2000 iPad. I had to buy a new one because I’m in school. I called down at the Allegiant lost and found in Portland and no one ever answered. I was at a dead end. Then last week, Portland donated it to an electronic place that fixes electronics and someone turned it on and I went through many channels to get it back. I will never ever fly with Allegiant and I will tell everyone I know what happened and how you did care about my lost item that meant so much to me. I’m in nursing school and needed this. I spent another $2000 for a new one. I think management should know how Portland handled this and never looked to see if someone filled a ticket. The electronic place stole my Magic Keyboard Which cost $330 and I blame you!! So now I’m out $2300 all because no one cared to see if this was a lost item. No one turned it on to see if there was a phone number or message on the screen. I hope you don’t treat people the way you treated my item, tossed in a box somewhere!!!

Plane from hell

We got on the plane at 6:50 am…we were set to land at 10:23 am. It is now 1:20 pm and we have all been denied refunds. The never offered us food or drinks during this time. Absolutely horrid flight. We had to divert to a different airport so we can refuel, then we landed at our original airport and waited for an hour on the tarmac. I will never be flying with this airline again.

Today allegiance denied me from getting on the plane with my service animal

I’m disabled. I have heart failure,
Eight months ago I had open heart surgery to replace all of my heart valves
I have an artificial mitral valve.
I have an artificial aortic valve
and a cap on my third heart valve
. I continue to have ongoing heart problems
When I return from this trip I will be having another heart surgery for atrial fibrillation. Abalation
My service dog is so helpful
because if I fall out, She will alert me and others.
I was never notified I was told when I arrive there
Being told I didn’t fill out the
so I I told them let’s fix it I can give you all the information that you need. I have my medical records with me, etc. or let me redo the application whatever they need me to do

Nothing can be done and also you could never reapply again once you’re denied.

I was discriminated against today
maybe I was judged on how I looked
I wasn’t treated with an ounce respect

One star is generous

One star is generous. Absolute chaos and blatant money grab.
This was one of the most frustrating airport experiences I’ve ever had, entirely due to Allegiant’s incompetence and inconsistent rules.
My wife and I were not flying. We were escorting our children to the gate so they could fly to Florida to see their grandparents. The kids had only two small carry-on bags. We explained this clearly at check-in. Allegiant staff waved us through and told us everything was set.
It was not.
After waiting in the TSA line, we were told our paper copies of our Real IDs “weren’t acceptable” and that we had to pay an extra $90 just to escort our kids. This felt like a pure cash grab, not a security measure. We left the line, paid the fee, then waited another 30 minutes.
Then TSA informed us we needed boarding passes even though we were not flying. Why wasn’t this mentioned the first time Allegiant waved us through? Why weren’t passes issued then?
So we exited TSA again, waited in the long Allegiant check-in line again, only to be told we could have one gate pass for two parents and multiple children.
At this point my daughter was crying, I had paid extra money for access I wasn’t allowed to use, and no one at Allegiant took responsibility for the misinformation they provided at every step.
This entire situation was caused by:
• Poor staff training
• Inconsistent policies
• A barely functional app
• Nickel-and-diming customers at every turn
If Allegiant looks cheaper, understand why. You will pay for it in stress, wasted time, and frustration and possibly your kids’ tears.
Spend the extra money on literally any other airline. There’s a reason Allegiant is cheaper, and this is it.

My service dog was denied & ironically its so I can go to see Dr's so I can get surgery & maybe not need my dog one day.

I was told my service animal couldn't travel as such & needed to come on as a pet. I explained shes in service at all times, especially on flights & wouldn't be able to perform her services in a bag. I have flown on major airlines with her with no problems, same form verified. I went to the extent of going to speak with my trainers (I was denied because of verification from trainers) & they never got a call for my dog at all. No such call for verification came in to them. I choose to travel with direct flights because my body is riddled with tumors and if I could avoid travel all together I would but I'm going for Dr's appointments to help me. Such a shame and heartache that I have so much on my plate to add this to the list. Ironically, if my surgery is possible & a success, I might not need a service dog. 🤦‍♀️💔

I understand weather delays but when…

I understand weather delays but when you cannot reach an airline through any measure to get an update, it says volumes. When you call the cs number it says there is a current wait time of “at least 2 hours”. Does that meant 27 hours? 96 hours? Who knows bc you’ll never hear from them… ever. They have live chat- crickets. Email- zilch. Social media- too busy bragging about buying Sun Country. People foolish enough to buy tickets need to actually travel on a plane. Daughter and grandchild stranded by allegiant and with zero updates we have to buy a flight on a diff carrier bc allegiant does not work with other airlines. Only airline worse than this one is Spirit.

Zero stars would be a better option

Too bad you have to leave a star to write a review. Zero should be my option for Allegiant. They just cancelled a flight from Las Vegas to Bellingham for "weather". Not true. All other airlines in this airport continue to fly to Bellingham as we speak, weather apps and my wife on the ground say weather is beautiful, clear and calm in Bellingham, as it is here in Las Vegas. They're calling it a weather delay to avoid providing rooms and meals for all these displaced passengers. If it's "mechanical" they have to take care of people but if it's "weather" they're off the hook. I understand things go wrong, and I don't want to get back on a plane with a mechanical problem. But Allegiant is being dishonest and unprofessional to avoid their obligations and responsibilities. Furthermore, there is no Allegiant customer service or indeed any Allegiant presence of any kind in this airport. Who even maintains these planes? The people at the gate say they don't even work for Allegiant so there's nothing they can do for anyone. It's understandable that under these circumstances the Allegiant planes would be in a dangerous state of disrepair that requires grounding, and the company would be failing financially to the point they couldn't meet their obligation to their customers. I must also add that this is a one way flight home that cost me almost 3 times as much as the Delta flight that got me here. And Delta was by far a more pleasant experience. I've been cancelled on Delta too, but Delta always stepped up and did things right. Not Allegiant. As the flight attendants will tell you, "you have choices when you fly." I suggest choosing someone besides Allegiant. I think they've become too expensive, dishonest and unreliable.
